Excellent service from service advisor I again received the consistent excellent service from Service Advisor Mike Huey. I got my oil changed, tires rotated and multi-point inspection done efficiently and timely. Mike summarized my service results and suggested that a follow up on the waterpump can be checked on when I bring my car in on my next service appointment. Mike has been my family's service advisor for over 12 years. We have been extremely pleased with Mike and he is the reason we bring all our cars to be serviced at this dealership. More

And their attitude reflect that they now take their customers for granted. If you have a 9:00am appointment, expect to wait outside in a line of cars until 10:30 before ever talking to anyone. Don't take my word for it - read other reviews and see for yourself. It is a pattern. They set a time that they have no intention of honoring. You wait. You pay. They profit. I will not participate or reward such disregard for my time. More

I made an attempt to contact maintenance manager to have the problem fixed but it was a huge disappointment, the reply " he's busy"... I hope i can dispose this machine sooner than later. But overall i can question the competency and training offered by the toyota company - I hope the mother company Toyota can address on this issue sooner than later otherwise deaths and major injuries may not be avoided. Hanlees will make your buy a happy 1 if U give them a chance I first gave Hanlees Toyota a 1 star rating. I have to admit that I didn't give them enough time to make my purchase one that made me happy. At any I first gave Hanlees Toyota a 1 star rating. I have to admit that I didn't give them enough time to make my purchase one that made me happy. At any rate, if you read my first 1 star rating on Yelp, I must say that I am still finishing eating a generous helping of humble pie. I jumped to the conclusion that my experienced purchase details were irreversible, hence the lousy rating I bestowed upon Hanlees. When I got around to telling them how upset I was with my purchase experience, I was completely blown out of that thought process by Sales Manager David Rieter calling me to inform me that they were in effect taking back the used car I had purchased, the one without GPS navigation although I had been told it had it, by sales person Ashley, a new-hire at Hanlees. Ashley is a very nice, personable young lady who made a mistake, something we all do frequently. She accepted responsibility which impressed me a lot. The end result of my buying experience could not have been better, in that they sold me a new 2016 Rav4 XLE to replace the 2014 Rav4 XLE, and I should add, did so at a very very attractive price. I am so happy with the end result, that it doesn't seem right that I can only give them five stars. I honestly don't believe that as many as one dealer in a thousand, or even less would have treated a buyer even close to how fairly they treated me. So, if you are in the market for a newer ride, I feel you can't go wrong with these people employed by the Hanlees Auto Group. And, if you are a veteran, show them that you are, and they will make sure that your buying experience is as good as there is to be had. Sales Manager David Rieter assured me that military veterans will receive the best handling he can make possible. As for the Toyota VSA warranty protection, it is a cancelable item, which I did cancel. The Toyota Gap insurance I kept because my Costco auto insurance will not make up the difference between a totaled or non-recovered theft vehicle, etcetera, and what I may owe at the time of the loss. They pay Blue Book, so you might want to seriously consider the Gap policy if you are financing close to the full amount of your cars purchase price. Thank you Hanlees Toyota! Jim in Antioch More

Wonderful ending! I have bought several cars over the years and have found the experience, in general to be a negative one. In January, we purchased a used Nissan Juke I have bought several cars over the years and have found the experience, in general to be a negative one. In January, we purchased a used Nissan Juke from this dealer. We had the usual dealership experience and went through the usual wheeling and dealing found at many dealerships. They guaranteed to remove stains on the seat. When I took the car home, the seats were wet and the stains did not show. They reappeared the next day. I took the car to a detailer who found that the car had been in an accident. Now for the wonderful ending. We went back to the dealer and spoke with manager, David Ruiter. He sat quietly and listened to our concerns. He was empathetic and sincere. He corrected the situation and made things right in a way you would never expect a dealership to do! I would be careful buying a car from them. Get every promise in writing on the Due Bill and if you have difficulty ask for David. He is the best part of this dealership. More
purchased a Toyota Sequioa, wheel fell off on freeway 1 day I purchased a 2004 Toyota Sequoia from Hanlees Hilltop, they told me I was pre qualified at 5.99%, at time of signing I was given 10.99%, and they had I purchased a 2004 Toyota Sequoia from Hanlees Hilltop, they told me I was pre qualified at 5.99%, at time of signing I was given 10.99%, and they had no idea where I got my numbers from, even though I had it in an e-mail, I was told I was incorrect, but they managed to get me to 7.99%. I was told many times how thoroughly safety inspected their vehicles are, then 34 hours and 147 miles after purchase, the front wheel feel off the truck on the freeway going 65 mph with myself and 10 year old daughter in the truck! When I contacted my salesman, he kicked me to Kentucky, as a sales manager, only to find out he is just a salesman, and he told me it's my problem not theirs. Talked to David, whom is an actual sales manager, and he said that it must have been tampered with, and that they will do nothing, I repeat nothing, about it, period. I would go anywhere and I mean anywhere to purchase a vehicle before even considering Hanlees Hilltop Toyota, they do not even recognize a complete failure of their service department, let alone use any amount of common decent business practice to make this right! I have dealt with several dealerships in my life and am dumbfounded at the absolute disregard for a near tragic incident that occurred in a Hanlees vehicle. Look elsewhere for a reputable dealership when purchasing your next vehicle! More

I went there on a S I used Truecar.com to find a deal on a 2014 Toyota Camry hybrid, and the group at Hanlees Hilltop in Richmond had the best price. I went there on a Sunday, and it took 3.5 hours to 1) get the car and take a test drive, 2)talk and haggle (a little, TrueCar provides a decent value) about the purchase price, and 3) secure the financing, all without any warning except me getting the quote online. This seemed pretty efficient which I appreciated. David and Danielle were true professionals, friendly and straightforward any they clearly articulated answers for all of my questions. I really admired the quickness of the sale and the fact that I was able to do things with the rest of my day. The car was exactly what I wanted, and the online quote and price were near identical ( $199 protection rails was the extra amount I paid, and it isn't sometime that can be taken off easily, so I added it.) Thank you both for the help and lack of hassle. More
We recently purchased a new Toyota Prius via this dealership through one of the Costco program contacts here named Nickolay Mak. Nickolay was late for the agreed-upon appointment time. We were a b dealership through one of the Costco program contacts here named Nickolay Mak. Nickolay was late for the agreed-upon appointment time. We were a bit angry because when we showed up, we were told he was not there, nor was the car he had said he reserved for us, and no one we asked seemed to know anything about it. We ended up phoning him on his cellphone and he said he was on the way, running late. He did show up about about 45 minutes later and was apologetic. While disappointing, at least we were able to test drive another car of the same model and series that was on the lot while we waited for him. The purchase process was mostly fine but Nickolay sold us the car without ever explaining or disclosing what the "express registration" charge was, leading us to believe it was a DMV fee. Turns out, it is some third party insurance thing that we didn't want and would have declined had this been disclosed. So we ended up being charged for something we didn't want. This was misleading. Further, all 4 of our windows now have a stupid number and phone number permanently etched onto them which we don't want! We have since re-contacted Nickolay on this issue and he has promised to issue us a refund on that fee but we have not seen it yet. We also have not received the license plates or registration as of yet. We will update this review when/if that happens but there is no way to get rid of the permanent etching on our windows, which we are not happy with. More
