I experienced this at my recent service: I was told that both of my vehicle’s front CV boots were torn an “leaking badly”, requiring $1400 diagnosis. I experienced this at my recent service: I was told that both of my vehicle’s front CV boots were torn an “leaking badly”, requiring $1400 to repair, and that it was unsafe to drive until repaired. I took the vehicle to an independent shop who told me that neither CV boot was torn, but rather the clamps were loose. They charged me $150 to tighten the clamps, and told me that they see this sort of behavior by Hanlees “all the time”. More
