Unresponsive to phone calls and messages, failure to explain, over priced, extremely pushy, took forever and did not keep in touch to say what was taking so long, did not fully explain what was done. Terrible service rep. Place seems like you’re all having a very hard time staying open. Did warranty work and will never use you again. Place seems like you’re all having a very hard time staying open. Did warranty work and will never use you again. More

My 2003 Cummins Ram seized the AC pump, and burned through the serpentine belt, at about 150,000 miles. I had it towed to Hanlees Davis because I expected them to honor the warranty due to repeated fa through the serpentine belt, at about 150,000 miles. I had it towed to Hanlees Davis because I expected them to honor the warranty due to repeated failed attempts by dealers, under warranty, to find the leak in the system that eventually caused the AC pump to seize. Now, $2400 later ($225/hr labor!), they have replaced the pump and belt, replaced the accumulator and condenser pipe, flushed and refilled twice. I asked to have the left rear parking brake adjuster adjusted (because Chrysler chose to use the same backing plate on both sides so the left side requires specialist tool to access). I had no idea it would cost me $110 to accomplish this five minute job. The service writer, Ramone, made a half assed attempt to get corporate to find the paperwork showing that the Fargo S.D. dealership, (where the consistent leak was first diagnosed, but not repaired, during warranty) had kicked the can down the road, as had Chuck Swift Chrysler/Plymouth here in Davis. Corporate has chosen to stick me with the bill, thus failing to honor their warranty failure to solve the problem during warranty period, and periodic failures since. So corporate is partially to blame for my disgust. So is Ramone, who originally told me I was in for a $29.95 belt replace, which turned in to a $2400 job. I talked with Cliff, the mechanic who worked on my truck, and found him to be pretty straight. He realized that I have done significant wrenching and took the time to explain things to me. Ramone, on the other hand even tried to bill me for hood lifters which I had not requested, to the tune of $227. I had that parts fee removed from the bill. I figure he added on those parts, hoping I would not notice, when I expressed my outrage at Hanlees' ridiculous labor rates. He knew I would never be returning. What he didn't know is that I am a very vocal consumer and a long time resident of Davis. I will be sure to tell anyone who will listen not to do business with Hanlees. More
