I recently purchased a vehicle from Hank's. During the closing of the vehicle, there was a fee of $299. (I believe that it was some form of dealer service fee) I was told during that time that I would the closing of the vehicle, there was a fee of $299. (I believe that it was some form of dealer service fee) I was told during that time that I would receive some form of coupon book that would warranty the tires, include some discounted towing options, etc. I sent two e-mails to my sales representative (Luke Fremin) and received no response. I finally called him to inquire about the coupon book and he said that he would check on this and get back to me. I also mentioned that I had sent two previous e-mails and the response that I received was that they must have gotten caught up in spam. I have purchased numerous vehicles and this $299 fee and the lack of receiving any coupon book and the lack of follow-up by the sales representative after the sale was completed, is absolutely horrible customer service. My recommendation would be to refund my $299 for the fraudulent fee!!! I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau today and will also post negative reviews wherever I can to make people aware of the bad experience that I had with Hank's. More
To whom it may concern! On February 13, 2012 I was interested in a used 2010 Ford F150; I'd located at Hanks Buick GMC in Plaquemine, La. That morning I bought a Carfax for the vehicle, the Carfax ind interested in a used 2010 Ford F150; I'd located at Hanks Buick GMC in Plaquemine, La. That morning I bought a Carfax for the vehicle, the Carfax indicated the vehicle only had one owner. The salesman at the dealership also showed me, on a different program, where the truck had on owner. I did test drive the vehicle all of about a city block. On February 14, 2012, I bought a used 2010 Ford F150 from Hanks. I traded my old truck in, financed the old truck and put $2000 down. Within an hour of having the new truck, I felt the vehicle shift hard when slowing down. I thought nothing of it and went on about my business. That evening, my fiancé drove the truck and asked me about the shifting problem. On the morning of February 15, 2012, the truck's display told me to "Check Fuel Inlet". I did so, repeatedly, throughout the day. I was able to locate the previous owner of the vehicle. He told me all the problems with the truck. Before I said anything about the problems I was having, he mentioned the ones I was having and told me that I would be having more, soon. He told me he'd had the truck worked on several times by different dealerships and they could not fix the problems. He also told me he'd bought the vehicle second hand. That evening I emailed the salesman at Hanks about this information. He then referred me to the General Manager. On February 16, 2012, out of curiosity, I looked up the Carfax on the truck again. This time the Carfax was showing two owners and I was not one of them. It showed one of the owners had the truck for ten months and the other owner had the truck for eleven months. I brought the truck back to Hanks and gave them the keys. All I asked for was my $2000 down payment back and for them to take the vehicle back. After a more than a week, many phone calls, text messages, getting my lawyer involved, their lawyer involved and a very very large headache, I had to walk away from the dealership with no vehicle and Hanks kept my $2000. In my opinion, buyers beware and I would think twice before conducting business there. More
