I should have heeded the poor reviews for this dealership before I stepped foot in there. They were all right. The sales manager made me an offer for a purchase price and when I accepted it, he said he was before I stepped foot in there. They were all right. He could not honor his word and instead of the 4K discount he offered, the best he could do now is a couple of hundreds. Sales Manager doesn't know what he's doing. I had 3 separate offers yesterday from other dealers on my wrangler for 23K... this guy low balled us and offered 17K. It's a shame... This sales manager is losing business and his offer was insulting. KBB on my jeep is 23-25K on a trade...29K private party sale and this guy insults us with a 17K offer. Hampton Hyundai.. do better! Offered cash (Cashiers Check) for the asking price for a Kia Optima $8500. The manager refused the offer because he said he wants to make money off the car ($10,000-12,000). Why tell a customer your asking price, let them test drive the car, get offered cash of your asking price to turn wrens and say No???? This dealership is a ripoff. Save your time and go elsewhere!!! Hyundai is dishonest. Hyundai plays a game with you to get you in the service garage by sending you a recall notice. Mine says “your car may catch on fire weather you are Hyundai plays a game with you to get you in the service garage by sending you a recall notice. Once they get you in they come up with a list of other repairs that should be done and then tell you they don’t have the part for the recall. The individuals you deal with are paid commission on how much they can get you to spend for service that you most likely don’t even need. Examples include the following: I just waited over an hour at Hampton Hyundai (11/14/2022) for an appointment, that I have had scheduled for over a month, to have a recall item fixed on my 2014 Tucson. After waiting over an hour, I was informed that they didn’t have the part in stock! Why didn’t they tell me that right away instead of wasting my time. The answer is they did their usual upsell routine where they “inspected” my vehicle and had a handful of other items they wanted me to pay for. They did the same upsell thing to me at Allen Turner Hyundai telling me I needed an alignment and back breaks. That was six months ago. Needless to say, I didn’t need the repairs. What a dishonest business. Don’t ever buy a Hyundai. More
