Tried to add extra items to contract, hidden in the middle of all the other charges. Tried to up sale me the same thing 3 different times during the deal after I said no the first time. I already had a pre approved loan and the manager would not send the contract to my bank. Reworded everything in order to run my credit again. Told me 2.99% intrest through them was better than 3.10% intrest through my bank. The sales person had already looked me up and down and figured I could not afford the truck. He barely told me 5 things about the truck. He figured I was a tire kicker as they call them. If you do decide to purchase from them keep an eye on everything and pay attention. With everything said above I know they need to make money but if you want return customers may want to step it up. Do not see the people i worked with below so I can't rate them. I went to the dealership and purchased the truck and drove it from there. More

We were excited to see that the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trailboss was in stock at a local dealership. We visited Hampton Chevrolet on Monday and that is when we were greeted by Jordan Kent. He was great to work with, and very knowledgeable about the features of the vehicle. Unfortunately after taking the TrailBoss for a test-drive, and getting a price, our family determined that the leather package would not work for our family (especially with a higher price). We ultimately ended up purchasing from another dealership in Chesapeake. Inventory for vehicles has been low with COVID, so we had to make the decision to travel elsewhere. However our experience was very pleasant, and would definitely consider doing business with Jordan, and the Hampton Chevrolet team again! More

Phil always DO NOT purchase a used car from them!! Single mom with kids. Had been a long time, loyal customer of Phil in the Service Department. Phil always gave honest, quality work, and worked around my schedule (5☆ for Phil). I then paid cash for a car through their used car department which I'd intended to drive for a year before passing it on to my son as his first car. (I advised them of such and that within a year I'd be back for a brand new car for myself.) They didn't want to warranty the used vehicle but I'd insisted. Thank God I did. Two days after purchase the problems started and it spent approximately 5 weeks in their repair shop. Horrible experience! I ended up buying a new car from another dealership who were very happy to obtain a loyal customer. More

Can’t get my oil leak fixed Went in for oil leak and got quoted a little over $1,300 got told it was oil pan gasket, got it back and was told it’s fixed, it was still leaking. Then got told it’s the rear main seal and front timing cover and got charged over $1,500 for that job, was told again it was fixed. Still leaking after that got told oil in starter (which there was none) I replaced the starter myself and it was still leaking. Took it back again and then they replaced the oil pan this time and it’s still leaking. I’m not impressed with the service and to spend around $3,000 and they still haven’t fixed my truck is pretty poor service!!! More

But a few months down the road when the car goes bad ( mind you I’m paying extra a month for a warranty ) I don’t live there so I can’t just walk in and I call and explain how the car is giving out and having issues and I’m told they can’t help & don’t know what warranty I am paying for. So I’m $5000 in debt after repairs on this thing. Don’t go here. More

I scheduled my service request and was never told Hampton Chevrolet Mazda was not doing warranty work for Mazda’s any longer. When I was told my car was ready, I was about to grab my keys, say thank you, and be on my way, but much to my surprise I was told please wait ma’am for your total. I said there should be no total my vehicle is under warranty. It wasn’t until today when I was on their website that I learned they are no longer doing warranty work on Mazda’s. I’m sorry that is just a croc. I just spent a lot of money on a new vehicle and you will not honor my warranty. I signed a contract that I believe you cannot just decide not to honor, but legally I will check into that. Regards, Charlene Stump More
