I started the process of buying a vehicle from Hampstead Preowned over the phone as I live about an hour and a half away. I arrived at the dealership to test drive the car and was immediately taken aback by how unprofessional the sales staff was. There was nobody there to greet you when you walk in, they were all yelling to each other about what they were ordering for lunch and just overall felt very unprofessional. Honestly, I became anxious about purchasing a car from this dealership so I started looking up reviews on all sorts of websites and saw that they had a bunch of good reviews, so I ignored my gut instinct. Knowing what I know now, this makes total sense. After driving the vehicle, I noticed that the inside was still dirty, so I asked if they would have it detailed before the sale was final and the car was brought to me (they did deliver the vehicle for me, which is about the only positive). They also charge an additional $1295 fee on top of the price of the vehicle that is listed online and they state that this is “to make the vehicle as good as new”, including an interior and exterior detail. I was told it would be detailed, when it arrived at my house it was still in the same condition that it was previously - not clean. I texted the sales person to ask about this, and she responded with some attitude stating that “she drove the vehicle 2 hours for me and if I wanted it detailed I could bring it back”. The next day, after only driving it a few miles, the check engine light came on. I called to speak with a manager about this and was told to take it to Advance Auto to get the code read, which I did. I called back and told them what the code was and they said to bring the vehicle in. I purchased this vehicle for my dad, who flew to PA from Florida to bring the vehicle home. When he called to schedule it for service, they agreed on Monday. My dad showed up on Monday morning and had to remind the service department what he was there for and they said they didn’t have the appointment in the books. He had to wait around for a while before they let him know they would take the car to fix it. A few minutes after he left the dealership, I received a phone call from the service manager stating that he couldn’t remember which car my dad dropped off and why it was there. They also called my dad three additional times to find out what it was there for because they couldn’t remember. When we called for a follow up to check on the status, we were told that the check engine light had nothing to do with the code that Advance Auto said and it was something entirely different so they had to order different parts. 2 days later, my dad went to pick up the car to drive it back to Florida and a couple hours later the check engine light came back on. Updated to add: someone did reach out to me after this review was left and was very friendly and helpful. The check engine light has gone on and off numerous times and a few different shops told my dad a few different things about what could be wrong with it - he bought new parts and we were asked to send a receipt showing the purchase (we assumed we'd be reimbursed for this). We didn't hear back after sending the receipt. After the review had been up for a few days, I was asked if I would consider taking the review down in exchange for half of our first car payment being paid by the dealership. I agreed. A week later, I asked about the status of the check being sent and I was told that the check wasn't going to be sent until we deleted the review, which is not what I was told initially. More

So he either had no idea, or he was playing me that you would like to just know the price of the car. From my previous experience I knew advertising price is never what you will end it up paying. The car was for my daughter and of course have Audi car she was very happy till we drove car when we got it back home. You have 3 days for any issues to be either fixed or returned. There still is issue with some sensor. Back and forth they supposed to fixed a car and of course they said they did. But they didn’t. Service for fixing s car was absolutely awful. Sadly I thought I would be coming back to the dealership for buying car for my another daughter, but after this experience I won’t…. More

The staff was very helpful and they have tons of great options on their lot. You can tell they really hand-pick what they put on their lot, and the majority have super low miles.
