TWO THUMBS UP!!! Best dealer ever! My brother and I were looking for two Ford F150 super crew pick ups. We contacted Steve Mantilia and gave our "very" specific wish list. The two trucks we were looking for were nowhere to be found, even after doing numerous internet searches of our own. Steve and the folks at Hammonasset did not give up and kept in contact with us through their relentless search. They managed to find two trucks EXACTLY what we were looking for and brought them into their dealership. We took delivery of the vehicles last week and can't say enough good things about Hammonasset Ford, Steve Mantilia and Mike Timmons. Great People, Great Dealership, Great Prices... The salesperson (Mike Timmons) was nice and helpful, and the price the dealership offered was very attractive. However, the finance manager (Rodney Pomerleau) was not friendly. I was told that over the phone by Mike that any additional services ($50 nitrogen in the tires and $200 VIN etching) would be open to discussion before coming in. Little did I know that Rodney had already included these things on the contract because he said they were DONE already, and we had to negotiate for a while before he agreed to take off the VIN etching fee. So I gave away $50 for nitrogen which I don't need and is really there to help the dealership -- that's fine since their price was really strong initially anyway. What really concerned me is when I went back out after signing the paperwork with Mike and asked where I could find the VIN etching, he stumbled and told me that the physical etching on the glass is "not done anymore and instead we have these stickers." I called back the next day and Rodney told me the VIN etching is done inside the doors. Why couldn't they have been up front about that? It did not leave a great impression, and I can only recommend this dealership with caution. Their price may be great, but it does come with some potential hidden fees. Mike - kudos to you for your great customer service, although the VIN etch thing did concern me (more about integrity than the money). Rodney - you tried to rush me through the paperwork process and were not as open about these fees as I had hoped. Hammonasset Ford - your prices are low, but the way the sales process was handled for me, I can only recommend your dealership to others with a warning or two. One last thing -- not sure if other Ford dealerships do the same thing -- please do not present me a copy of the post-sale survey from Ford and ask me to rate all 5's with that column pre-highlighted by you. I would do that regardless if you had conducted the sale the right way and treated the customer with honesty. However, if you do not, and on top of that add insult to injury by asking me to rate all 5's when the customer service has NOT been superb, do you really think I would do that? More

Each time he was respectful and if we asked a question he could not answer - he got back to us with the answer. YEAH NANDO. Then ROB picked us up. Now there's a young man that I would love to have our grand daughter marry. On to ERIN. HIP HIP HOORAY FOR ERIN. Since it was late in the day, we decided to stay over in Conneticut. ERIN made all our arrangements. Hotel and ferry ride back to Long Island. RODNEY explained everything and CHERYLANN gave us her phone number just in case we got stuck on any of the new fangled computer equipment in the car. So here is our review. My experiance with the sales staff was a great experiance. They were straight and upfront. They did everything they could to get me the price I was looking for. I walked in that morning and drove out that afternoon. I did call the service department when I used the heated mirrors for the first time. I had one that cracked. I called the sales staff and they told me to bring it in to the service guys that day. I drove forty minutes to show them the mirror and without even looking at the mirror I was told that I needed to make an appointment and they would need the truck for at least four hours to take pictures and for ford to decide if they would replace it. Still has not been taken care of and that was back in December 2010.That is why I give customer service a 3. Sales staff graet, service department not so much. Steve Sousa More

We are enjoying our Ford Transit, it gets attention whereever we go and we have recommended Hammonasset Ford. My experience with Hammonassset ford was Great but few things did not go too well. #1 i wish i had seen the car in person. even though on the website it said its a focus SE mine did NOT come with USB co things did not go too well. #1 i wish i had seen the car in person. even though on the website it said its a focus SE mine did NOT come with USB connectivity.. the driver information also looked weird.. after doing some research i came to know that i got the MOST basic SE out there :( but that's NOT dealer's fault.. that's my stupid mistake.. #2 i was quoted a certain interest rate over the phone but when i went to pick my car up my interest rate was doubled and when i asked how did it go that high.. the answer was that the rate they gave me at first was a mistake. i wish i had known about my interest rate before i went to pick up the car. i would have probably ended up buying a cruze with 3.29 interest rate. BUT BUT BUT if you like straight forward people and want to do hassle free business cherylAnn is the person to deal with... she is quick and very helpful. thank You cherylAnn for all of your help..
