I have been purchasing vehicles from Matt Ford for at least 15 years. I have always ask for Jerry Snead because my wife and I have always appreciated his honesty and fairness. We have also appreciated the way He looks for the best deals, rebates, discounts, etc. so we are able to get the best for our money. Jerry always spend time explaining how the accessories in the vehicle works prior to leaving the dealership and makes sure we are comfortable with the operation of the entire vehicle. I bought a 2012 Ford Escape from Matt Ford in October, 2012. Derek Fugate was my sales contact. I was in the market for the Escape, but I quickly found that dealing with dealerships online is not always 2012. Derek Fugate was my sales contact. I was in the market for the Escape, but I quickly found that dealing with dealerships online is not always an optimal experience. Matt Ford proved to me that they had the knowledge, the experience, and the fire in the belly to get the deal done. Derek was very responsive throughout the entire process. He is a stand-up guy, and he is very knowledgeable regarding the entire line-up of Ford vehicles. Driving out to Matt Ford from Lenexa was quite a drive, but it was worth it. I highly recommend Matt Ford, and my next Ford purchased will be from this dealership. Derek took the time to explain to me how my new vehicle worked, took the time to set-up my sync account, and took the time to let me evaluate the vehicle to ensure I made the right decision. If you are in the market for a new Ford and you come across this review, please know that it is worth your time to work with Derek and to make the trip to Matt Ford. I purchased a 2012 F250 from Matt For Sales. Gene Wagner the salesperson was honest and very helpful. When I returned for my first oil change on 9/15/2012 I expected the same honesty from the service depar the salesperson was honest and very helpful. When I returned for my first oil change on 9/15/2012 I expected the same honesty from the service department. This was not the case. The service adviser Glenn asked if I wanted them to fill the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). I stated that I had ran out and filled it on the road. He said did you use Motorcraft DEF. I stated that I did not nor did I have to according to the owners manual. I further stated that the owners manual states that I had to use a "API Certified DEF". I said I made certain the DEF I bought was API certified. He said it doesn't matter Ford will void your warranty if you don't use Motorcraft. I said well Ford will have to send me an amendment to my owner's manual, if that is true. He said it don't matter. At this point I quit arguing. I live by the motto don't argue with an idiot, they have more experience and will win. Motorcraft DEF cost 5.00 a gallon compared to Piloit/FlyingJ at 2.79 a gallon both are API Certified. Glenn had such an arrogance to him that I just about asked for a manager while I was there. His customer service skills are far below that of a good service department, and he really should not be allowed to have contact with customers until, he has been fully trained. After leaving Matt Ford I called Ford Customer Care and asked if the statement by Glenn was true. No not at all sir Ford Customer Service stated. As a customer the integrity of Glen is questioned. To me it appears he is trying to take advantage of people by scaring them into Ford will void your warranty. I will no longer have service done here, and take my vehicles back to Bob Site Ford where their service department has integrity. I also will probably not buy another vehicle from Matt Ford because the integrity of a dealership lies in the honesty of the service department. More
We recently had an AWESOME experience with Matt Ford and are thrilled to write a review of our time there. My husband and I have been wanting a 'new-to-us' car and have been searching for the last month and are thrilled to write a review of our time there. My husband and I have been wanting a 'new-to-us' car and have been searching for the last month and a half. The other night we saw exactly what we were looking for on the internet and called up the dealership. Jerry Snead was the salesman we got. He answered all, and I mean EVERY question we had about the vehicle, and, believe me, between my husband and I, there were ALOT of questions. We then decided to make the drive (3 hours one way from where we live!) and we are soooo glad we did! We arrived late saturday afternoon and Jerry not only had the car waiting for us to take a test drive but had driven it himself to make sure everything was running right on it before we arrived. He handed us the keys with a smile and told us to enjoy ourselves. The car ran like a dream and I can hardly believe this as I type it but the car is BETTER than advertised. We drove back to Matt Ford and I think Jerry could tell by the looks on our faces that he had a sale...*smile* He answered MORE questions then led us in to Fred Statham, finance man who made that part easy and fun (yea, you read that right!!!). Our total experience with Matt Ford was sooo positive and wonderful. No pressure, none, zero, zip, nada. Everyone was smiling the whole way through from when we pulled up to when we left. They stayed late to help finish our car buying experience and also went out of the way to give us directions and make sure we had everything we needed. They cooperated with our bank beforehand so that we could drive away with the vehicle. It is soo easy to buy a great car from Matt Ford. Before we left Buffalo saturday someone in our church asked my husband what we were doing that day. He told him we were going to Kansas City to look at a car and he looked at us like we were nuts-"You are going ALL THE WAY to Kansas City to look at a car???" Once he saw the car he understood...*Smile* If you get a chance to buy a car from this dealer and you are lucky enough to work with Jerry and Fred you will know you are truly blessed. I know we were!
