Set an appointment on Friday for a NEW tire I take time off work on the following Tuesday to get a new tire only to be told they had to order it when I went in for my appointment! Meanwhile I am driving on a donut over the recommended mileage due to their ineptitude! Will not lease or buy again from this dealership EVER! More
STRAIGHT FORWARD COMPETENT HONEST SERVICE AT A FAIR PRICE My wife had an estimate to fix her relatively new Infinityat the Infinity dealership that required new parts regarding a stopped drain on the sun roo My wife had an estimate to fix her relatively new Infinityat the Infinity dealership that required new parts regarding a stopped drain on the sun roof for almost $900.00 that even though she may have been mistaken for just an unknowable woman regarding automobiles , she certainly is not and she sought an opinion from Darrick at the service department at Charles Barker where the car was originally purchased before the dealership changed hands but where we service our Toyota .He consulted with the mechanic Wendall who related they thought it could easily be fixed as opposed to putting in a new drain from the Sun Roof . In a short time it was and at about a $500.00 difference . When it comes to the Charles Barker Toyota dealership regardless of their quoted price for various repairs quoted price we trust what they say . They deal straight and do good work . . More

I work in Portsmouth this so unfair to the consumer. i was unable to get an oil change. This should be advised on the website. More

Not trustworthy! This may or may not be the reasoning for the way this played out but either way, I'm a woman!!! A couple of months ago my Toyota 4 runner just died o This may or may not be the reasoning for the way this played out but either way, I'm a woman!!! A couple of months ago my Toyota 4 runner just died on the side of the road. I had it towed to Charles Barker Toyota where they disagnosed the problem as the alternator and the battery. The charges were a little short of $1000.00 which I paid and left thinking all was well. A couple weeks go by and my truck won't start, completly dead. I lifted the hood to discover that the battery cables on the new battery had never been tightened down and the bracket that holds the battery in place had not been tightened and was now missing. When I went in to tell the dealer there was never an apology offered or any compensation. Fast forward a few more weeks and I need a state inspection and I notice when I brake it pulls to the right. I show for my appointment and am told for it to be looked at it will cost me $125.00. They take it back to have a look and come to me with what my problems are and the cost will be $3683.17 for brake calipers and a long list of things they feel I should do. They rejected it for state inspection also. I demanded my truck be brought around no work done and a made a promise to never return and that includes to purchase another truck which I am in the market for at this time. Buyer beware, its about as dishonest as I've ever been treated. I did get it repaired within 3 hours and state inspected for $349.19 and a local garage! More

Always the correct fix at a reasonable price. I bought my 2001 Toyota Sienna LE at Charles Barker and have had it serviced there consistently. My service advisor is Darrick Williams who I’ve dealt I bought my 2001 Toyota Sienna LE at Charles Barker and have had it serviced there consistently. My service advisor is Darrick Williams who I’ve dealt with for years is outstanding. He has always provided the correct appropriate repair and service to my car and never tries to up sell me on thing I didn’t need. In the parts department I worked with Vicky on numerous occasions and she too has always provided me with the right parts and at appropriate costs. The Service Manage Fred Phillips whom I worked with for years also he provided service to my mom’s Toyota Camry and she would have no other than him do work for her. He now the service manager and is still providing excellent service to our cars, this team is wonderful to work with and a pleasure to see each time I’m there for car service. They all provide excellent service at reasonable costs to my family sense we bought our 2001. Sienna. More

Long Wait Times, Tricky Pricing, and Sub-Par Service This dealer offers nothing exceptional. The customer does not come first. Expect 2+ hour wait times for something as simple as an oil change. The service department seems like they never want to work. Lack of motivation and seemingly extreme displeasure with doing work for you. Give the service desk a call... IF they pick up, use common sense and a little skepticism to determine if you agree with me or not. Complete money-making mentality here. Nothing is for the customer. More
Not Treating People Right One day lately I took my 2016 Toyota Tacoma to have the oil changed. When I purchased the truck I was told that I would get four free oil changes with One day lately I took my 2016 Toyota Tacoma to have the oil changed. When I purchased the truck I was told that I would get four free oil changes with no conditions. Let me make it clear that this is not about the oil changes but of the service that I received when my truck was done. The lady that came and got me after it was done was nice and polite and went through what was done on the truck and told me it would cost $66.00. I informed her that I was to get four changes free and was asked if I had anything saying that. I did not! Then I was told to got find out who sold the truck to me and see if he remembers this transaction from over two years ago. I had to spend 10 minutes finding this person and it was Ray Aiden. He did not remember anything about the four free oil changes and told me I had one left with this the reason way. So I said OK and left. The problem is way did a person that has purchase 5 cars/trucks from this various Charles Barker dealerships have to run around the dealership and find the salesman when there were many people standing around doing nothing. What did I expected 1. The person from the service department could have looked up who sold the truck to me, 2 The lady I asked at the front desk could have done the same. Nomally Charles Barker Lexus and Toyota has the best service aroud but on this day I was very displeased and hope this was a one time deal. Thanks for your time. More
