He was professional, knowledgeable, personable and patient!!! We had lost our car in the flood a couple of weeks ago and the thought of purchasing another car was daunting. We did our car lot cruising, looking for the perfect car, and found it. Steven was not pushy and answered all of our questions. We felt comfortable working with him and the Sales Manager Jesse Cook. State Inspection Winded review beware... We are new to the area and had to have our state inspections done on our cars so we called around to multiple places, Charles Winded review beware... We are new to the area and had to have our state inspections done on our cars so we called around to multiple places, Charles Barker included and I asked how it works whether the inspection is something that take a while and if I would need to drop off my car and then if I needed an appt. I was told that I can make an appt and that it take roughly 45 minutes and hour at most. So after calling around this place sounded like the place to go since I could wait for my car, so I called back and made appt for both of our cars (a Toyota and a Jeep). Fast forward 5-ish days and I show up at my appt on time (even a few minutes early), I checked in with a rep who was nice and told me all about where my son and I could hang out while we wait and said it should be about 1 hour- 1 1/2 hrs at most (wait what... what happened to 45-60 minutes). So we went to the lobby to wait. After a little after 1 1/2 hrs I went to ask the clerk about my car, I was told it would be just a few minutes. So we went back to waiting... 30 minutes later (you do the math.... that's 2 HOURS) I went to the same clerk/cashier to ask AGAIN and she looked dumb founded at me that I was back and asked has no one come to get you yet... Mind you I have to check out with her... "Nope". So she called back to check on my car at the service counter and was told they were coming up with the keys. So after 2 hours of waiting for a state inspection (that takes 20 minutes from start to finish in Texas which is apparently normal around here) I have since taken my husbands car else where to have his inspection done. Not as convenient as waiting since I had to drop it off but sure beats waiting around 2 hours for something I was told would take about 45 minutes. I will not be going back to this dealership again. More

Will NEVER, EVER deal with these people again! VIN: 4T1BK1FK4CU523094 2012 CERTIFIED USED Camry After a four month BATTLE involving Toyota Corporate (case number 1603010959), field techs and m VIN: 4T1BK1FK4CU523094 2012 CERTIFIED USED Camry After a four month BATTLE involving Toyota Corporate (case number 1603010959), field techs and multiple dealerships, Charles Barker had to end up buying back this car from me. To make this very lengthy story short, I took it into a dealer local to me for repairs under warranty--within just a few days of purchase. The seat heater did not function and door locks did not function correctly. That was problem 1 (these should have been caught in the certification inspection). Problem 2, Charles Barker was contacted about helping me resolve this issue and only opened a Toyota case. They NEVER offered to fix the car themselves. Three dealers and four months later, Toyota tows it back to Charles Barker and has a Toyota Field Technician look at it, along with multiple District Sales and Parts Managers from the various Toyota regions involved. While Charles Barker had the car, they did approximately $1200 worth of damage to the rocker panel and the bumper (from improper lifting of the vehicle during the inspection). Problem 3: They would not admit that they did the damage. We were told that they could (all of a sudden) fix the car in 2 hours while we waited--after 2 other dealers telling us that it would cost close to $10K to replace the seat and the wiring the way it SHOULD BE done. They wanted to put a junk yard seat in it to "repair" it--under warranty. Problem 4: They were willing to violate TOYOTA's own warranty policy by repairing the car with junk yard parts It is sad to say that this dealership can be allowed to operate under the Toyota franchise name. I hope and pray that they get their act together and don't treat other customers the same way that they did me. I cannot fathom how the Vice President of Charles Barker automotive and the General Manager of Charles Barker could sit there and lie to my face about damaging my car, and then expect me to accept junk yard parts to repair the seat. Putting it bluntly, I wonder how Greg Shank (VP) and Curt Carter (GM, CB Toyota) sleep at night. More
