Great service. Amazing experience buying a brand new 2022 Honda Civic. I love the car and the Hall Honda is amazing. There was no issues like I have seen at other dealerships or any terrible negotiation misc Honda Civic. I love the car and the Hall Honda is amazing. Adrien, our salesman, was a pleasure to work with. We originally came in to check out a used CRV and ended up leaving with a brand new Insight; and that is after driving the CRV, a newer Honda Civic, and originally came in to check out a used CRV and ended up leaving with a brand new Insight; and that is after driving the CRV, a newer Honda Civic, and finally the Insight. He was very accommodating to our needs and is in no way the reason for my dealership non-recommendation to consumers and poor review. The issues we ran into were with Mike from Sales Department and the Finance Department. First of all, my wife and I clearly stated our budget - $25,000. The price tag on the Insight was $26,600. Mike offered us a "discount" to bring the car down closer to what we were looking to spend only to add the "discount" right back into their asking price by re-writing a few add-ons on the car that we weren't interested in paying for back into the contract then deterred our attention by making small talk about how he and I have long work commutes in common which pushed into our next issue...the "extra benefits" and extended warranty badgering. My wife and I must have said "No thanks", "We're good", and, bluntly, "We don't want the additional coverage(s)" to Brian at least 10 times each before it was finally absorbed into his head that "No", in fact, meant "No" and the deferment page was finally signed. VERY annoying. We were even presented with the question "This coverage carries over to any buyer who may own the car in the future!" I'm not eating a major expense for a potential future car owner who will likely also be badgered into buying a follow-on warranty! I understand that Honda and its employees stand to make money off of the consumers on these extras, but STOP haggling people after they tell you "NO!" over products that end up costing $6,500+ over the course of the loan term and take a lesson from Hyundai/Kia - offer a 10yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty on your cars straight out of the factory like they do from the get go and stop charging your customers an arm and a leg for lesser warranties; stand behind your products! Second big gripe is two parts. 1. A customer should NEVER find out during contract signing that their interest rate is high because "there weren't low interest rate incentives available through American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) for that model year" (AHFC ties into part two of this gripe below)!!! That is something you tell the customer BEFORE trying to get them financing if you TRULY value them as a customer, and even more importantly, a REPEAT customer who tells their friends good things about your business (which we will not be). That is a completely deceptive practice and the lack of clarity surrounding incentives and programs available to the customer was not appreciated. 2. According to Hall Honda, if you ask for the military discount, you MUST finance through AHFC and, point blank, their interest rates are TRASH; not competitive in the slightest! I have an 820 FICO score and AHFC came back with a 4.1% interest rate! GARBAGE! If you are a military member, either completely defer the "military discount" all together, or ask them to give it to you once your credit has already been ran and you have the best possible interest rate sitting in front of you because the additional interest you'll end up paying Honda on a 4.1% interest rate over the loan term vs. a competitive 0.9% or 1.9% APR will FAR exceed that $500 military "discount". I'll be paying my entire loan off immediately with a 1.9% card that I have to save thousands of dollars in interest - not everybody has that option...BE HONEST HONDA! I, unfortunately, cannot recommend Hall Honda for your vehicle needs - inexperienced buyers will be run through the ringer if not careful! More
