Service department is rather poor. Took my 2020 4runner in for it’s 5k service and the stupid (money making for repair shops) VA inspection. Haley found a nail in one tire and told me they would perform a repair for $40.00 which I thought was rather high. I told them no. They finally came back and told me they would have to fail the vehicle inspection due to the nail (no leaks in the tire). Told them to fail it so they did. I’m not paying $40.00 for a simple tire repair as that’s close to 1/2 the price of a new tire. They must really believe people are idiots. Took it home and plugged the tire (had the items on hand since I restore vehicles) then took it to a friends shop and had it inspected. Friend was at a total loss as to why they would have failed the vehicle for a nail in a tire which wasn’t leaking air; in fact he said it was stupid. I’d have to agree and it will be my last trip there. BTW I’ve never been impressed with Haley overall. More
I scheduled a service appointment last week. I understand about temperature changes and asked if there was anything I could do as I have a newer RAV4 2019. He said this is a common issue, he had pulled up my car being I had prior service with them before. He said they can increase the tide pressure to 35 and it should help, also suggested I can get my tires rotated for $20. I said sure and scheduled the service. Then I come into day and it goes all down hill from once I speak at the service desk. The guy says “oh for your warranty you should get a full services to clean out your fuel lines and what not. I said, I hadn’t really come in for this, but he pressed on. I got annoyed and my tone was evident I didn’t want the service if it was not required. I had a recent service and had the full service treatment not even 5000 miles ago, less than 4 months. The service manager came over and explained it was not required and I could take care of the initial service. I asked to make sure about the increase in tire pressure to 35 as requested. Soon it was told to me there was no mention of this in the notes. Then the service person said I will do only what is listed in your request. I came early in the morning to get out sooner. I even went home as a friend was heading by and I loved not even 3 miles away. I had called asked about a shuttle to retrieve me and they said no problem once they let you know your vehicle is ready. 3 and half hours later after 2 and half hours for waiting they inform me of the vehicle being ready. It took over an hour to have a shuttle pick me up even though they said it was 30 minutes or less away both times I called. I come into pick up. Then I get in my car the light is off and I drive it off and it starts flickering, then it stays on. I call back and speak with the service guy whose been working with me. We go back and forth, as he doesn’t even listen to my request. I said reviewing the notes it doesn’t show the tire pressure, did they increase it as you guys stated. He said I’m not sure but you can bring it back. What after waiting for over 3 hours they didn’t even do what I needed them to do. And only after asking him 4 times to ask the service technician if they did would he actually go check. Which he called me back 30 minutes later saying they had not checked and all they did was reset the indicator. So frustrating and I asked if the service manager would give me a call. No cal yet but the service coordinator said I could bring it back and be charged $99 to hook it up to the computer to see if it needs to be replaced. I had great service the first time but this other guy and the service provided was frustrating and not at all helpful. If you call and they make suggestions to help it shouldn’t be so hard to get the service they suggest! More

After I got to test drive the car, I knew I wanted to purchase it, but I had an outside commitment and was unable to take the time to sign all the paperwork that day. Trey was going to be out of the office for a few days but I was so impressed with my experience with Trey that I arranged to come back when he was back from his vacation. The transaction went smoothly and I am very pleased with my purchase. It has been 4 months since I bought my car, and I had some questions about my warranty and tire care coverage. I reached out and he called me back within minutes, on his day off! I look forward to doing business with Haley, and specifically Trey Paige again. I highly recommend working with him! More

Where do I begin. I have purchased a total of 3 vehicles from Haley but my last purchase has become a nightmare. The finance manager Mr. Campbell was extremely unprofessional. First, I had went with a new b from Haley but my last purchase has become a nightmare. The finance manager Mr. Campbell was extremely unprofessional. First, I had went with a new bank for my vehicle loan and was told I had to contact the dealership to get a refund on my gap insurance. Contacted Mr. Campbell for about 2 weeks without any response to my messages. It wasn’t until I contacted his director, that I got a response. His email correspondence were rude and unprofessional. Never addressing me in the same manner that I addressed him. Months later I finally got my refund. Once I had to get the vehicle service I found out that Mr. Campbell misinformed me on what was included with my purchase. He told me state inspection, tire rotations, and oil change were covered for 2 years, which I had it in writing so Haley should’ve honored it. They honored 2 oil changes which the first oil change was free but when I went back today before the 2 years I get the same bs of why do I expect these services for free. The general manager Julius Smith tells me why should I give you anything or free since it was his mistake and I don’t plan to buy another vehicle from them?? What kind of a business do you expect to continue to have when you lack integrity. Haley told me those services were included. I have been a loyal customer and it was not my fault you have incompetent employees and that’s including the general manager. Never again will I purchase a vehicle from Haley, so thank you for losing a customer for life. I was thinking of getting a Highlander from you but I will go to loyalty instead. More

When he did, the gentleman I was working with was nice, but not very knowledgeable about the vehicle. I told them what I could pay, and yes, they were willing to work with me on pricing. However, after we couldn't come to an agreement, the sales guy had the gull to call me and almost seems like rubbing it in my face "oh that vehicle sold". Okay, dude, so why do you need to call and tell me that...petty and almost unprofessional. Sorry Durell Valentine, I wanted to do business with you and now, not feeling so great about it. More

I tried to order a RAV4, but salesman and sales manager just failed. Ordered in early March. Coming on the boat April 27. Called and told Toyota has one at Richmond race on the 13th. You can have it. Called on the 22nd, sorry, Toyota is taking it to another show, now May 3. What about the one on the boat? Oh, that one was sold. Found same RAV4 at Mechanicsville Toyota. OMG, what a difference. Professional, friendly, better deal. I was actually told by the sales manager at Haley that he could not get me that deal, so I should probably buy it from the other dealer. Haley may sell a lot of cars, but that does not mean that they are a good car dealer. Try elsewhere folks. More

I had issues starting with the email exchanged, when the seller obviously didn’t like my way of communicating (I guess he realized I am Spanish). When I took the car to end our leasing he told me to do an State inspection even though I did it a few days ago. He did it (now I know this after how the events took place) because he wanted to sell me the car. He then told me the monthly payment to buy the car, and when I told him that I just came to drop the car to end the lease ( as I told him repeatedly in my emails), he just ask me for the odometer paper, took it and left the desk without saying anything. I was just left there, waiting to see if that was all. Horrible experience, that I will never forget and I will make sure I will share with all wools I know. More
