Bait and switch I made an appointment with their service department to have my trans checked out. I called and said I wanted to make an appointment for my free multi I made an appointment with their service department to have my trans checked out. I called and said I wanted to make an appointment for my free multipoint inspection they advertised. He asked if their was a concern I had, I said yes my trans seems to be slipping, and he booked my appointment. I went there today the service counter man said I don't know why he booked yo an appointment so late yet their hours say open till 8 and it was 5:15 PM. He told me it was going to cost over $200 to inspect. I told him I had coupon and he said it is only good to check my tires, alignment, balancing, This was not acceptable whereas I usually go to Miller Subaru which I highly recommend, but they are far away and this one is down the street. I asked why would it cost so much, he said" I have to pay my employees"( then why advertise free inspection? scam). He then said he has to hook it up to a computer, test the fluid levels and test drive it and he charges $101/ hr and it will take 2 hours. Now I am a female but I'm not dumb. It does not take two hours to hook up computer and get readings, look at fluid and test drive. This is a scam and I NEVER experienced this at other dealership. I told him when I called the other dealer him and another certified shop said the only way to tell is how it rides, yo can't see inside. The desk man is an idiot to take advantage of woman like that and I call that bait and switch. When I asked him to write down what he would do for the 2 hours he refused because he didn't want to be at war with other deer...he means he doesn't want to put it in writing his scam. I am reporting them to State Attorney. More

Can't diagnose and repair my car I brought my car back 4 times for the same problem and they still didn't fix it. I had a burning smell that blew into the cabin, smoke coming from or I brought my car back 4 times for the same problem and they still didn't fix it. I had a burning smell that blew into the cabin, smoke coming from or around the turbo, and the smell of raw fuel in cold weather. They forgot to bolt parts back in that caused damage to the coolant reservoir that wasn't damaged in the first place. They also forgot to put the splash guard that goes underneath the entire engine and had to order another one. They first said it was the head gaskets. Then they said it was the oil pan. Then they said it was the power steering pump (which they lied to me and said the pump was mentioned on day one). I have detailed records of everything. I also had a new fuel filter installed that did not fix the raw fuel smell. I also opted for new brakes, rotors, and timing belt thinking my car would be drivable after the first time. On the phone, they pretended to know what was going on, but the results showed otherwise. They have been playing guessing games and making mistakes at my own expense. I was ripped off for almost $3000 and have a car sitting in the driveway for over two months without being driven. I don't know anybody that would drive a car with a visual of smoke, smell of raw fuel and missing bolts. There is much more that I left out but I think I got the point across. I will never ever recommend their services to anybody. More
This was the absolute worst customer service experience in my entire life. I bought a used Subaru and brought it in to get it tuned up and the timing belt replaced. The day after I got my car back it broke in my entire life. I bought a used Subaru and brought it in to get it tuned up and the timing belt replaced. The day after I got my car back it broke down completely and I had to get it towed back to the service department here. They proceeded to tell me that the damage was my fault and charged me an arm and a leg to fix the problem they caused. Now I find out after this second 'repair' they did, my AC isn't working and my coolant is leaking and they tell me again it's my fault and will charge me for the repairs... I am disgusted with their lack of integrity, horrendous customer service and blatant disregard for the customers safety and well being. I will never support this dealership with my business ever again. This simple repair has costed me double what it should have and these people cheated and lied to me. This place has long lost the ideal of honesty and basic customer service, and thus will lose my customer loyalty. My family has been going to haldeman dealerships for almost 15 years for all of our car needs. They no longer have any of our business and nor should they have anyone else's who values human decency and their money. More
