Buying this 2014 Subaru Forester was the best car buying experience I've had. The dealership seems incredibly well run and customer friendly. My sales person, Danielle Delaney, was the best. I didn't have a good scenario going into this experience as I was asking for an early lease buy out with my Elantra being very dissatisfied with how poorly it handles in the winter and knew I was asking alot but since I've been so loyal to the Haddad dealerships with 3 vehicles being purchased between me, my husband & son over the last 5 years that I thought they could help me out in providing me with the peace-of-mind of driving a safe vehicle this winter. Lo & behold over the next few weeks, we kept working the #'s and as of today, I'm the proud & happy owner of a new awd Impreza which will literally change my life this winter being able to venture out instead of being fearful of driving. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I had been shopping for a car for about a week. I started on a Wednesday morning by emailing the requirements for my new Subaru forester to 12 different dealers to solicit offers for about a week. I started on a Wednesday morning by emailing the requirements for my new Subaru forester to 12 different dealers to solicit offers. Danielle answered immediately. Like 2 minutes after I sent the email. Unfortunately the color she had was not to my liking but she informed me that the Black one that I wanted was coming in shortly. I told her that when the car came in and it was physically on the lot then she could give me another quote. She called back one week later with the offer. I got a bank check and picked it up that afternoon. As far as price goes, you know how every dealer says they have the best price then they try to get you in the door and wear you out and sell you a bunch of nonsense, well this dealer really is different. No games, no up-sell, no nonsense. The price quoted on the phone and email was the exact amount I showed up with. To get an understanding of the competitiveness of the offers, I used the price of MSRP on the various car offers I got and then figured out the percentage from the MSRP of the offer. Lets just say that Haddad's offer was a full 3% lower of the MSRP than any other offer I got from 12 different dealers. You can do the math, that ends up being real money. The dealership was spotless, I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door, the paperwork was completed and waiting for my signature after I drove the hour and a half to the dealership. No lie, I spent a total of 7 minutes on the phone (I was going to write negotiating on the phone but the price was so good compared to others no negotiating was needed) and 16 minutes to close the deal. I went in to Haddad Subaru on a Sunday to look at a 2006 used BMW that Haddad advertised to replace my LandRover. Reliability, comfort (I'm 67), able to get up my steep drive in winter, good mileage, room to haul the displays when my non profit puts on an event, easy access back seats for when transporting speakers and staff, affordability. He showed me "pre-owned" Subarus, but then pointed out that financing for new cars was good, that the resale of the Subaru was good, and that the warranty would mean I wasn't worrying about paying for repairs. Within a couple of hours I had signed for a 2014 Forester. I needed it in two days to go to an event in NYCity loaded with books and registration material. He turned the paperwork and cleaning of the car around within that time. Then even though I thought it was not necessary -- he gently recommended that he go through all the features with me. He was right. Now when I wonder what that light was for -- I remember Rob saying it was fog lights. Lots of features that I would not have used if not explained to me. This Subaru is the first new car I've had in my life. As someone on a non profit salary -- I thought it wouldn't be possible. A good feeling to have the security of a new car. Thanks Rob. More
