I brought my car in for a vibration when I was driving around 50mph. The shop obviously had no Idea what they were doing. They originally told me that it is possible I might need a new engine they said th around 50mph. The shop obviously had no Idea what they were doing. They originally told me that it is possible I might need a new engine they said they are going to try a few things to see if they can fix the vibration. They replaced a Harmonic balancer, fixed the rims and a few other things all costing several thousand dollars. Then after taking a few months to figure out why the car had a vibration; they finally said the car needs a new transmission and that the car has gotten in worse shape from when i initially brought it in. They sent a video showing that the axle going to the transmission was shot and had a lot of play in it. They, however, insisted that the transmission had to be replaced. I saw a YouTube video and found someone in a similar situation so i ordered a new axel on Amazon and had it installed from another mechanic. The Axel fixed the entire problem the car runs like new not sure why they didn't fix the axel seems like they were going after a big fix that didn't need to be done over 20k. While in the shop they damaged my vehicle by dropping tools of some sort on my car. When I got the car back, I noticed there was additional damage on the car. The Wing was chipped, and a part was broken off. I went and bought a replacement Wing and requested that BMW just have it painted and installed. I have sent numerous emails to Pete ( Shop Service Manager) with read receipts, so I know my emails haven't gone to spam and I have received no response, so I don't see how this place cares about their customers. Also its kind of sketchy that myself with no mechanical experience was able to fix my car for a fraction of what they were going to charge for an unnecessary repair. I have been a customer for years and I’m appalled that I have just been completely ignored by a company that I was not only understanding but tried to meet ½ way. More
The Team at Habberstad is great. Communication was consistent and clear. Unfortunately, my parts were not in stock in the US so it took 3 weeks to repair my vehicle. I was happy with the work and felt the price was fair but I was surprised to find my car covered in pollen and debris when I picked it up. I don't park my car outside. After 3 weeks I was expecting to have it at least washed if not lightly detailed. More
kept my car for 2 weeks before fixing it inaccurate communications on what was wrong with my car- was told my parts were on back up order to stall out the fact mechanics couldnt figure my issues- when communications on what was wrong with my car- was told my parts were on back up order to stall out the fact mechanics couldnt figure my issues- when dropping off my car no rep walked around my car with me there to prove I had no scratches or dents before taking it-my car was in excellant shape- told me they fixed my car I took it had to turn around and give back as a warning light they never shut off and kept my car another week before figuring out problem terrible service- all warning lights should be shut off for consumer before taking car away-I feel they pulled a fast one on me but I caught it and brought right back Also car was not washed good- had to go back again as they did terrible job More
