Cleared the memory of codes so the check engine light would stay off, put on different rims while we were waiting for a tire to be changed after dark. I recently bought a car from this dealer that I love and I loved the service i received from the salesman and the rest of the people there. Friendly and professional they helped with choosing the right car I loved the service i received from the salesman and the rest of the people there. Friendly and professional they helped with choosing the right car for me; and knowing i was buying a used car my salesman Kal made sure to tell me all the problems i would find in the car. I was impressed with the honesty and anyways the car ( a Lexus ES) was a good deal to pass up. Afterwords I took the car to my mechanic and he told me exactly what Kal told me about the car so i was satisfied with my purchase. More

Absolute WORST experience of my life! POOR customer service, Lies out of all employees mouths, POOR quality of most if not ALL vehicles on the lot. General Manager swore & yelled at me, and then force service, Lies out of all employees mouths, POOR quality of most if not ALL vehicles on the lot. General Manager swore & yelled at me, and then forced me into buying a piece of garbage. From the beginning… I live approx 300 miles away from the dealership and found the vehicle online (keep in mind this is a $14k car). Per several emails and phone calls back and forth- the vehicle was described as being in EXCELLENT, VERY CLEAN condition with no issues what-so-ever. He explained that there was one small door ding that he would have fixed before I arrived. It was also advertised as an SE. Salesman tells me he needs to take $500 over the phone to hold the car and will absolutely give it back if I am not happy with the vehicle in any way. I show up as arranged and the vehicle isn’t even clean. It is an SL, not an SE- so it is immediately worth about $1000 less than what I’m paying. The condition of the car is POOR at best. The rear bumper was missing clips and was almost falling off on one side, it was pressure cracked all over and there was a large area (about the size of a small cellphone) of paint MISSING. The tailpipe was severely dented and smashed in. Scratches all over this car- I mean like it has been in the woods from day one. Paint missing on all of the rounded areas- like someone burned it off while buffing. 2 of the 4 mud flaps were hanging on by one screw, and the other was missing all together. The door ding was STILL in the door. The driver’s side door was dented in the jam and the frame of the door was actually cracked/ broken in half. The windshield was scratched so severely- it was hard to test-drive. One headlight was yellow. Then we opened the doors…. The carpets were filthy. The driver’s seat was broken off the track- to the point my husband had to kneel to test drive it. The interior was in POOR condition- the leather was ripped, the center counsel was broken and wouldn’t close- and it had huge dents all over it. The information screen and gauges were heavily scratched and in terrible condition. And it was just generally FILTHY… I explained that I didn’t want the car. I was told that I would NOT get my $500 back if I walked away. After arguing with 3 salesmen for over 2 hours- they called the general manager. He told me that the car is not in bad condition and I shouldn’t expect it to look new and that he is not giving me my deposit back- and I would have to sue him to get it. He went on yelling and swearing at me in front of my children until I told him I would take the car if he fixed the issues. He told me that he would fix the windshield, tail pipe, mud flaps and seat and drive the car to the hotel we were staying at. The car arrives and the windshield is unimaginably worse, the mud flap is still MIA, the tailpipe is still smashed AND the other mud flap is still hanging on by a screw. Then I get ONE key with no Fob and NO TITLE. He is unreachable, so I drive home (300 miles) with an unregistered vehicle, without a title and with a windshield that I am praying it doesn’t get dark or I won’t be able to see at all. I finally get a hold of him the next day and after arguing with me he says he will pay for the windshield. At this time I had already brought the vehicle to my dealer and they noticed: both front balljoints were bad the cv boot was bad the transmission was leaking fluid the engine splash shield was MISSING severe alignment issue He refused to pay for any of this telling me this should be expected with a vehicle that is a couple years old. I spent $2000 just getting this car drivable. Today (I’ve put about 900 miles on the car) the Check Engine light comes on and the Evap canister is bad. I just got the title today, as well (a month later). These people are absolute CROOKS. Their vehicles are TRASH and they LIE. Do not take their word for anything. While I was there for 4 hours I browsed the vehicles on the lot- there was not ONE that had matching bodylines and most had serious issues. One of them wouldn’t even start when another gentleman got into it. Listen to me when I say this and do yourself a FAVOR- don’t even waste your time!!!! More
Test drove a car and it was clear that the car was in need of service to the 4-wheel drive system. Put blame on the service dept that they did not tell them the drive system was bad....Test drove a secon need of service to the 4-wheel drive system. Put blame on the service dept that they did not tell them the drive system was bad....Test drove a second car (same model) and the next one was even worse. Smoke coming from the engine, airbag light on,rear door would not open more than 3" shake and shimmer. Walked away and bought elsewhere same day. NEVER PUT CARS ON YOUR LOT THAT YOU WOULD NOT SELL TO YOUR MOTHER! Unless you are that kind of person! More
Our experience with H&S has been VERY negative. They are nice people, but the service is abhorrent. Where to begin... The good: (1) nice (in the beginning). No pressure. (2) notwithstanding a few defects (b nice people, but the service is abhorrent. Where to begin... The good: (1) nice (in the beginning). No pressure. (2) notwithstanding a few defects (below) that are relatively minor in the grand scheme of used auto sales, we love the car. We really wanted to love H&S too, but they did virtually everything they could to make that impossible. The bad: (1) the car we bought was sold with a substantial, undisclosed (but almost certainly known to them) strut defect. (2) at test drive, the car had three different kinds tires (the driver-front and passenger-rear matched, the other two tires were different, even from each other). The furthest H&S was willing to go was to put two different kinds of tires on it (front and back are different). (3) the mechanic that inspected the vehicle before our purchase noted another mechanical defect. H&S claimed not to have known about the defect, but also refused to negotiate for repair of that defect prior to purchase. (4) on the day of purchase, H&S backed another car into our car, damaging the front bumper. They promised to repair all damage, but were almost impossible to pin down on a service date. We called four times with no straight answer. (5) the rest of the repair saga gets steadily worse. They promised a 1 or 2 hour repair, which became a 1 day repair when we got to the lot, which turned into a 1 week repair the next day. They blame this on issues with their repairmen, but the delay was incredible and justified swifter outsourcing. Despite their being located out of the way and their responsibility for the damage and the delay, they repeatedly refused to accommodate with rides to the train. (5) because of the bumper damage, the actual purchase was substantially delayed. While waiting for the car, we expressed some dismay over the preceding events. We were met with aggressive and off-putting assertions that they have 100% approval rating on eBay, so any problem must have been with us. (6) on the subject of the much touted unanimous eBay rating, we found this car via eBay, but are unable to leave any feedback there because H&S did not (and will not) acknowledge the purchase through eBay. I imagine we are not the only ones. Anyone that expects to deal with them for anything after the initial sale should be very wary. (7) They quoted us a "drive off the lot" price that included fees for title, tax, documentation, etc. H&S further warranted that we needed to do nothing going forward to be street legal. It has been 60 days and still no information from them about title or plates, and we were recently pulled over for failure to display a city sticker. We are both recent transplants to the city and had no idea we were not legal. I hope that H&S will honor their warranty and pay the ticket, but given the above, even if we eventually get anyone with any authority on the phone, I sincerely doubt they will. The upside: In dealing with H&S's shortcomings, we were lucky enough to stumble upon a very good, honest, and reasonably priced import mechanic. We have been extremely pleased with and highly recommend Foreign Auto Repair at 3635 N Kedzie. More
