I decided not to let other people's experiences deter me from checking them out. I looked at cars through the internet purchase program. I called and talked with Tim Kettler. My wife and I decided to go to the dealership after an informative discussion with Tim. He was very knowledgeable and accomodating. We were not rushed and he was patient as we could not decide between an Accord or a Civic. When we decided, the process took a reasonable amount of time and there was no pressure. He gave us a price that was acceptable to us and we bought the car that night. My wife has enjoyed her new car very much now for the last 10 days. We would like to give Tim Kettler credit for doing a good job for us. More
I am a proud new owner on a 2009 Honda CRV. I initially went to Curry Honda, but after talking with the salesman for a bit, he seemed more interested in going home for the evening than helping me purchase went to Curry Honda, but after talking with the salesman for a bit, he seemed more interested in going home for the evening than helping me purchase a new car. Luckily, Gwinnett Place Honda is open late and we decided to head on over and see what they had. I was greeted by Tim Kettler, and had a very pleasant buying experience from there on out. I had a good idea of the model I was looking for and was not pushed into buying something that was more expensive. Tim made sure to show me all the in and outs of the car before the test drive, and I was surprised that the LX model had more features than expected. I got a very good deal on my vehicle and Tim did everything he could to make sure the Finance Department held up their end of the agreement. The only hold up was on my end since I had lost the title of my Jeep a few years prior. Tim said that it would be no problem and he would hold the car till I was able to obtain a new title. After almost two weeks, I finally received my title and later that day I was a new car owner. More
I purchased a new 2009 Honda Accord from Gwinnett Place Honda over the weekend and had an OUTSTANDING experience. I highly recommend Gwinnett Place Honda and my sales person, Tim Kettler; they conducted Honda over the weekend and had an OUTSTANDING experience. I highly recommend Gwinnett Place Honda and my sales person, Tim Kettler; they conducted a very pleasant, honest and fair car buying process. They had the car that I wanted in stock and did not change their price quote when I arrived to purchase the vehicle. I cannot say the same for the rest of the Atlanta area Honda dealers...... I started shopping for a new car a few weeks ago, requesting quotes from several local dealers. I contacted several to narrow down pricing and to verify that the car I wanted was in stock. Every single dealer, with the exception of Gwinnett Place Honda, was dishonest - they either did not have the car in stock and tried to sell me something I did not want, or they drastically increased the previously quoted price through various add-ons and fees. Gwinnett Place Honda is the only dealer that had the car in stock and faithfully honored their internet price quote. Gwinnett Place Honda will be my first stop next time. More
My wife and I went looking for a new car, really looking for a Camry. We weren't happy with the way the Camry looked and decided to check out the Accord. When we showed up at Gwinnett Place Honda, we were i for a Camry. We weren't happy with the way the Camry looked and decided to check out the Accord. When we showed up at Gwinnett Place Honda, we were immediately met by a Sales Manager who then assigned Tim Kettler to assist us. Tim went above and beyond what I felt a Sales Associate should do. He answered my many questions, endured my two test drives of the same car, and then worked with us to get what I thought was the best deal on the car. I am very happy with my Accord, and with the service and assistance I received from Tim Kettler. I would gladly recommend Gwinnett Place Honda to my friends. If my future experience with their service department for periodic maintenance goes as well as the buying experience, I will indeed be a happy camper. More

Within minutes,I got a call back from Tim Kettler to follow up on the specifics of what I wanted (i.e. color, navigation, etc.) and scheduled a time for me to bring our 04 minivan in for a trade appraisal. Tim was excellent at following up with my questions regarding the vehicle, as well as preparing for me to come in to finalize the transaction. When I arrived at the dealer, the experience was one of the most efficient car purchase transactions that I've ever had. I was literally in and out with my new CR V in about 2 hours flat. Reginald Dube, the finance manager, was able to beat out my Cap 1 Blank check interest rate by several points, which was pretty cool. The delivery process was smooth and I really felt like Tim and Reginald went out of their way to ensure that I drove away pleased both with my new truck and my experience with Gwinnett Place Honda. Overall, I would recommend that anyone in the market for a Honda give Gwinnett Place Honda a serious look. It's worth your while. More
I recently purchased a used vehicle from Gwinnett Place Honda. After looking for a used car at several local dealerships, I opted to search online for the perfect used car. I began my search on the Gwi Honda. After looking for a used car at several local dealerships, I opted to search online for the perfect used car. I began my search on the Gwinnett Place Honda website, found a couple of possiblities and completed the online form to begin the process. Someone from the used car department at the dealership called immediately that morning to address my needs and to kindly ask questions to further understand what I wanted in a used car. Tim Kettler, the Online Internet Manager, also responded back immediately to my online request via email and then followed up with a phone call. I was treated with kindness and respect, coupled with professionalism and efficiency beginning with our first phone contact. Tim went "above and beyond" the call of duty to locate a car to fit all of my needs immediately after we got off the phone that morning. He was personable and easy to work with and had me out of the dealership within two hours from start to finish! Tim's professional salesmanship, along with his pleasant manner, was a comfort to me during this process. His expertise and professionalism is an asset to the dealership, but speaks volumes to customers like me who believe in excellency and a job well done. Thank you, Tim! More
Sales rep was very nice. One week after I purchased the car from Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth I noticed the left rear door did not have a vin label and that it appeared to be welded together, the front d car from Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth I noticed the left rear door did not have a vin label and that it appeared to be welded together, the front door does not close properly and the rear door frame was bent, the glove compartment has a gap and was not able to be repaired properly. I went back to the dealer on several occasions. Was informed by Boge that since I signed the carfax disclosure that he was not responsible for any prior damage that was not disclosed thru carfax. Also asked to speak with sales manager Christian and was told he did not have time to speak with me. After several visits to the store I found later that Hendricks Body Shop on site had completed the repairs. I was given a copy of the repair estimate from Mr. Paul Castleberry and found that there was also damage repaired to the front end, front door, rear door was repaired. I have yet to this day to receive a call from Gwinnett Place Honda about my situation. This is the 3rd Honda that I have owned and have never experienced being treated like this before, I am very dissappointed. I was laughed at by Boge (finance manager) who told me "he is sorry I had to use my stimulus check for the $3,000 deposit that I made on the car. His professional skills could use a lot of work. The thing that concerns me is that this is a Honda Certified Vehicle and one of the 150 point inspections stated that the vin label must show in all door jams, on the car I purchased wbich was a 2006 Honda Accord it was not there. I am concerned is this vehicle safe for me and my family and acutally how much more prior damage was there to this vehicle. Claressia Brown 404-227-3679 claressiabrown@comcast.net More
My wife and I first went to Gwinnett Place Honda to look for a new 2009 CR-V. We were first approached by James when we arrived at the dealership. we told him what we were interested in and proceeded to hav for a new 2009 CR-V. We were first approached by James when we arrived at the dealership. we told him what we were interested in and proceeded to have a pretty good experience. after test driving the 2009 Honda CR-V LX and sitting down with him and his manager, Chad, to discuss what we could work out in order for us to purchase the CR-V we came up with a tentative offer. an offer at first i thought was pretty good and would be willing to have accepted it. however, as a first time buyer i wanted someone with more experience to be with me so I told them to leave the offer on the table and i'd be back with my father-in-law. after trying to PUSH ME and PUSH ME and PUSH ME to "buy now and leave the lot with a new car" they had agreed to letting us return with my father-in-law and the tentative deal would still be on the table. When we returned with my father-in-law, James' demeanor totally changed. it was like night and day. he was rude, impatient and showed all types of frustration in front of us when it seemed like the sale wasn't going to happen. REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Wanting to see the difference between the CR-V LX that my wife and i wanted and the CR-V EX, we had asked James if he could pull up an EX for us to look at. the first question out of his mouth was, "can you afford a higher monthly payment?" in a tone that wasn't pleasant. In all honesty, if i had gotten to look at the EX and liked it more than the LX i might have been more willing to pay a higher monthly payment, but since we never got the opportunity to compare... who is to say what could've happened!? there was a chance I'd have left there with a new 2009 CR-V EX. On top of all that, when we all (James, Chad, my wife, father-in-law and myself) finally sat down to talk about the CR-V LX we had planned on getting the deal we had agreed upon earlier in the day was all of a sudden not applicable. Both Chad and James were rude during this entire process and made us feel uncomfortable. In the end we left that dealership and all agreed this was a TOTAL waste of our time. Not wanting to give up on purchasing a new car, we decided to go back to Gwinnett Place Honda but this time work with a different sales person with the thought that maybe we'd have a better experience. I dealt with Daniel but wanted to deal only through email and phone conversations. He seemed like a better person to work with than James so I wanted to see what he could do. i told him what i wanted and what i was working with. he came with an offer that i couldn't really see myself agreeing to. as a result, he said my best bet would be to look into a certified pre-owned vehicle. I spoke with my wife and gave it some thought and agreed with his assessment. i looked at the certified preowned inventory at Gwinnett Place and told Daniel if we could work something out. Instead of working with me to get a certified pre-owned vehicle, he proceeded to push me back into buying the new 2009 CR-V. Weren't you the one who just told me to check into buying a pre-owned car. Well... days have past and i haven't heard back from Daniel about the helping me with a pre-owned vehicle. In the end, my wife and i got our certified pre-owned Honda 2008 CR-V EX L with leather from another Honda dealership with only 20,000 miles for less than what Gwinnett Place Honda was asking us to pay for the 2009 CR-V LX. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone!! they have poor customer service and they are extremely pushy. i'm not an expert but their prices don't seem to be fair at all. Don't waste your time with this dealership!! More
My experience was pretty good although I believe they could come down on the price a bit . Also I did not like the fact that after the sale they said it was OK to drive out without insurance for a li could come down on the price a bit . Also I did not like the fact that after the sale they said it was OK to drive out without insurance for a little while . A more alert salesperson should insist that the car be insured as any damage would be liable to the owner . On my second visit , because the first purchase was totaled after only 2 months , Norm took my advice and stood by while I added the accord to my insurance . Unfortunately I had to give Norm a 4 out of 5 rating as either he was playing deaf or just not focused on the specific car I had wanted from the lot , mileage color etc. I had to send him back 3 times . Heard he lost a couple of grand on his bonus for this , had I known I would not even bothered. Sorry This experience taught me that the power of an educated consumer . Had I not armed with info on the spot on my laptop my sales experience could have been different . More
i purchased a 2008 civic 4 dr. in october of 2008 and had no complaints except they were very pushy. then i came back in to trade my 2008 civic for anything that had 2 doors and had less miles and had never no complaints except they were very pushy. then i came back in to trade my 2008 civic for anything that had 2 doors and had less miles and had never been wrecked. i told them my car had front end damage but since it was not on carfax they said they would not disclose that information to anyone who bought it in the future. i then was TRICKED into trading my 2008 civic for a 2007 with less miles and was TOLD there was no damage because of what was on the carfax. well i left and brought my car home for eveyone to see and then realized it had been repainted and had body damage on the side. so i bring the car back in the next day and point this out where RAMON came out and said it had not been damaged or repainted and interupted us and yelled, he was very indirect about his answers he kept contradicting himself and was EXTREMELY unknowledgeable about the vehicle. he said if the car had been totaled and was not on carfax they would not tell customers. he then says he will tint my windows for free and "atempt" to line the door up because it was slightly off (from the body damage). i wanted to just have my 2008 back but the refused and said it was not there fault the car was wrecked and that they had not told me. ALSO my grandfathers name was also on the title for the 2008 and he had not even submitted his drivers license. they allowed me to take the paper work to him to have him sign it but he did not turn in his drivers license. even without all documentation they refused to give me my car back. then when i said well you have to give me the 2008 because you do not have my grandfathers drivers license. he said he was going to just pull his copy of his license from the previous vehicle that was bought. then i came back with the police and they still said they could make a copy of a copy and use that to sign MY title over. DO NOT GO TO GWINNETT PLACE HONDA. they are liars and will cheat you out of your money. after all this i went to conyers honda and explained the entire story to them and they were in complete shock and ended up giving me a GREAT deal. i also had decent experience with carey paul honda. BUT DO NOT GO TO GWINNETT PLACE HONDA. according to all the other reviews, i am not the only one who had TERRIBLE experience at gwinnett place honda. More
