Pleasantly Surprised I walked into the dealership expecting an all out war, but i was totally wrong. I've heard from friends what a nightmare buying a car can be, but that I walked into the dealership expecting an all out war, but i was totally wrong. I've heard from friends what a nightmare buying a car can be, but that wasn't the case for me. As soon as i walked toward the front door, my salesperson Joseph Shin greeted me. He was very courteous and polite, and did not pressure me at all. He explained the whole car buying process to me so that i would know what to expect. Joseph, showed me features on my 2014 Pilot that i had no idea that even existed. I was pleasantly surprised by my car buying experience at Gwinnett Place Honda and my salesperson. I have no doubt that next time i need to purchase a car, that this is the dealership and salesperson that i want to do business with. More

No high-pressure sales tactics – he showed us what we asked to see and answered all our questions; then stayed late to ensure that we got what we needed. When we stopped by the next day to pick up the cargo mat, Mike Crouch in service volunteered to help install our pet barrier in the cargo area, making a difficult task on a hot day much quicker and easier. He answered all my questions politely and showed me all of the cool features of the car. I would recommend Joseph to anyone who's looking to buy a Honda. The finance managers were also very helpful and guided me step by step through the whole process. This being my first time buying a car, I was pretty clueless but they got me everything I needed. I've had better car buying experiences. Much better. I went to this dealership because it is a reasonable distance from where I live and they have a large selection of the car I was in the market for. Upon arrival, there were several salespeople (I guess) standing around outside. The salesman rushed up to me right away. Sometimes, it would be nice for them to give you a chance to look before they descend on your like vultures on roadkill. I looked at several cars, drove a few, then decided on one. The salesman was reasonably friendly, making small talk and such. When we went inside and began the paperwork on the purchase and my trade, the friendliness all but disappeared. It was almost like a police interrogation when he was asking me about my trade in. His attitude was really off putting and I nearly asked for another salesman. I have NEVER visited a dealership and not been offered snacks, water, coffee, etc. I was offered nothing, only told that the vending machines were "over there" in an offhand comment as the salesman was walking away. In fact, the overall attitude of the entire dealership was unfriendly. Besides the salesman and the fiance guy, NO ONE greeted us or anything. Everyone was just standing around gossiping. I also had a ridiculously long wait to get in to see the finance manager, even though they were sitting in their offices talking and eating. I probably will not visit this dealership again based on this experience. I've had much better experiences at other area dealerships. Other dealerships probably have better prices too, along with no dealer fees. This dealer does charge fees. More

He didn't try selling me - My first impression with GPH was with Bruce Rosario, who went above and beyond giving me a non-typical salesman approach. He didn't try selling me - instead, he let me tell him what I was looking for and showed me what my options were based on what I really wanted. He did EVERYTHING right and this was my fourth dealership. Bruce gave me a tour of the service department, which was very impressive and introduced me to Ronnie Butler. Bruce was very personable, down-to-earth, and I felt truly honest and on my side. Then the tough part came. . . the numbers, that's when Chad Mills step in and together with Bruce, I felt like they were really trying to get me the CRV that I had my heart set on. They didn't give up, they stayed with me through my back and forth indecisiveness (even when I was worn out) - they "wanted me to drive away with the new CRV". I felt if they weren't ready to go home, then I had to stay right with them. Fortunately, everything worked out and then I was sent to talk to Jamal Gunn, who was just as personable as Bruce and Chad. I felt like I had the three BEST people on my side - all working with me to get this CRV. That was Friday night and 3 days later, I couldn't be happier!!! Thanks to all of them for everything! More
