Overbearing, Bulles that Disrespect Customers Unfortunately I cannot list a "zero" star rating. I found the Sales Manager (older, slender man) and Ted to be quite overbearing bullies. I am a no-no Unfortunately I cannot list a "zero" star rating. I found the Sales Manager (older, slender man) and Ted to be quite overbearing bullies. I am a no-nonsense, level headed shopper, I have done my research as well as enlisted the help of a friend who until recently had worked for a local auto sales company for 20 years. The one vehicle I was interested in was filthy, handfuls of sand were in the back area of the car, pine needles were in the sunroof area and leaves were in the engine area, where one would almost never find debris. They claimed it was due to the high winds of a recent storm. My personal vehicles didn't have that kind of debris in them. When I sat down to negotiate the price, Ted wouldn't take my offer to the sales manager until I told him to. Regardless if he didn't think they'd accept Ted should have taken it. The sales manager then came over to negotiate with me. I informed him of the multiple items that I felt devalued the vehicle (2013). The sales manager became overbearing and attempted to become a bully. Frankly he acted like a spoiled child when he came back with a new price. His voice was irate and obviously greatly agitated. When I informed him I would need to think about it, he became angry and nearly insisted on an answer. A vehicle is the second largest purchase you will make besides your home, therefore I would need to think about it. I will never do business with Gwinnett Place Honda. I can find another Honda dealer that will treat me with respect and values my business. GPH may have Hondas but they don't and won't have my hard earned money!! I do not believe I have ever been treated so badly and disrespected as I was by GPH. I am not intimidated nor do I back away from confrontation. The sales manager stated that I (the customer) don't understand how they "do business". I DO understand GPH, you attempt to bully, pressure and berate your customers. Why anyone would do business with them is beyond me. I'd rather spend more money on my vehicle somewhere else than to get a perceived "good" deal and be treated less than a human without any respect. First Time Experience With Gwinnett Place Honda... (AWESOME) My husband and I went in on Saturday the 9th car shopping. I had spoke on the phone days before to Joseph Shin. So I thought we was just car shopping My husband and I went in on Saturday the 9th car shopping. I had spoke on the phone days before to Joseph Shin. So I thought we was just car shopping and had no idea I was gonna leave with a beautiful black Honda Civic Ex. My sales man was Rob Glen and I can't say enough good things about him. He was the best hands down. He took care of us and wasn't pushy. He showed us the car from top to bottom inside and out. We had a great experience with Gwinnett place Honda. Joseph Shin the sales manager came by and made sure we was happy and we was being taken care of properly. He was really nice and polite. When you go to Gwinnett Place Honda make sure to ask for these 2 they are a terrific team who will get the job done and make sure you leave happy. Also Angel Pacheco was great she was the personal accessories specialist. She was really nice and polite. Then my fiance man was Charles Noh. We finished up the night with him he was great and made us comfortable and tried to get us done as quickly as possible. He was also very nice and polite. This was our first experience with Gwinnett Place Honda but hopefully not the last. More
Disappointing experience due to dishonesty Unhappy with my experience, I've bought Hondas from all 3 major Honda dealers in Atlanta, and this was the most disappointing experience. They give th Unhappy with my experience, I've bought Hondas from all 3 major Honda dealers in Atlanta, and this was the most disappointing experience. They give the lowest price over the internet, but then try to add a ridiculous amount of overpriced accessories and a totally fabricated dealer fee when you go to purchase. The worst part of the experience was with the financing. Marquis Taylor handled our purchase and though friendly and outgoing, was ultimately very dishonest and misleading. We had our own financing but because it was 10 at night we planned on changing the approved amount the following day. He led us down a path of financing the vehicle with Honda Financial Services stating that we could just replace the financing with our own bank/rate thereafter. What he didn't mention was that the dealer wouldn't honor this as the original financing, and that doing this would be refinancing (not a new auto loan) and that the interest rate would not be as favorable. Overall he didn't explain this one bit despite the fact that we insisted we had our own financing - and what he omitted to disclose was truly a dishonest practice. It would have been easy enough to wait a day and finish the purchase/financing with the loan for the new approved amount. More

Best Experience in 43 Years!!!! Yesterday my wife and I purchased our 20th vehicle, a 2017 Honda Ridgeline from Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth, GA. I have never written a review for Yesterday my wife and I purchased our 20th vehicle, a 2017 Honda Ridgeline from Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth, GA. I have never written a review for a dealership, but our experience was so special that I wanted to take the time to acknowledge the team that made this the best car buying experience that we have ever had. We had made the decision to trade in our 2008 Jeep for a more versatile mid-size truck. We had been out of the auto market for 9 years, and knew that we had a lot to catch up on. I spent a couple of weeks researching vehicles, dealers and inventories, and started communicating directly with a handful of select dealers based on their in-stock vehicles and the number and quality of their online reviews. One of these dealers was Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth, where we wanted to check out the 2017 Honda Ridgeline. So I contacted Zach Blanchard, one of the dealership’s Internet sales representatives, and set up an appointment to check out the vehicle. In all my communications with Zach on email, phone and text, he was always responsive, courteous and helpful. When we arrived at the dealership for our session, Zach immediately met us. We did not have to go find him or ask for him – he was outside waiting for us. We spent the next hour or so with Zach learning about the Ridgeline and test-driving it. Zach was just the right kind of professional you hope to get. He knew everything there was to know about the Ridgeline RTL-T and was clearly excited to share that knowledge and excitement with us. He walked us through all the new technologies and features that had been incorporated into the vehicle and patiently explained everything clearly to us. We were very impressed with his respectful approach, friendliness, enthusiasm for the products he was representing, complete professionalism, and above all, the fact that he did not pressure us at any point in our meeting. We had no intention of purchasing a vehicle that day. But as we talked about the various levels of trim, options, capabilities and price points, it became clear that the vehicle he showed us was actually a near perfect fit for what we wanted, a great balance between features and cost. Zach worked the appraisal of our trade in, and worked with his management team to create a deal that was a win-win for all of us. Based on his work, we made the buy decision, then, we spent time with Angele Pacheco who walked us through all the additional options we could consider before handing us off to Marquis Taylor, the finance manager who finished the purchase process. These three made it as easy as buying any vehicle can ever be! Buying a car can be a very daunting experience. It takes a lot of time even if you are prepared, and it matters how the dealership treats you during the lengthy process. Gwinnett Place Honda “gets it!” The showroom floor is spotless, the restrooms are clean, Starbuck’s Coffee is provided free of charge, and customers are treated as guests. It’s just a nice place to do business. So I will end where I began by stating that this 20th vehicle purchase was our best experience ever at any dealership, and that is a tribute to the management and the employees who work there. These days, customers are better prepared than ever, and they have more options to consider. Our business must be earned, and that is exactly what Zach and the Gwinnett Place Honda team did - they earned our trust and respect, and ultimately, our business. This is a five star dealership, and worth your consideration if you are ever in the market for a new quality vehicle! And if you go there, ask for Zach! More

Broken Promises - Constantly told to Return for Follow up This has been a frustrating experience. They were unable to deliver on promises made which required my 8 month pregnant wife (who works and takes care This has been a frustrating experience. They were unable to deliver on promises made which required my 8 month pregnant wife (who works and takes care of our toddler) to make multiple trips to the dealership because they didn't do what they had stated. We bought a used car from the dealership (Honda Odyssey). The vehicle was overall in okay shape with some scratches outside. The problem was the inside had claw marks going through the door linings from the previous owner's dog. We negotiated to have them fixed by the dealer and agreed to buy the vehicle. We made an agreement for my wife to bring back the vehicle to have it detailed, some touch up paint, and to have the front driver and passenger doors repaired from the claw marks. We were told it would take around 20-30 minutes to detail and do the minor repairs. My pregnant wife and our year and half old went back on the specified day after leaving a message and not having anyone return her call. She waited around around 3 hrs before being told that they could not complete everything. Manager Curtis Simmons then said that he had misunderstood what kind of interior the vehicle had and that contrary to what was discussed in the sales negotiations, he could not patch it up and the interior door panels would have to be replaced. He said the shop could cover some of it but we would have to pay another $150. My wife said that was unacceptable and that I wouldn't agree to it either. At this point she said Simmons gave her a "there there little wifey" type look and told her again to talk it over with her husband and see what I wanted to do. She was told to come back on yet another day (3rd trip after buying the vehicle). Hearing that my wife somehow wasn't capable of making a decision was pretty frustrating to me. My wife is very smart and hard working. I think she was unfairly judged as being incapable of making a decision on her own without her husband there because she is pregnant and was taking care of another child while at the store. I called and left a message for Mr. Simmons explaining that the situation was ridiculous and they could either readjust the cost of the vehicle, or fix it, but I wasn't going to pay for repairs which were supposed to be done earlier. I also let him know that I didn't appreciate the dealership trying to yank my wife around like she didn't have anything better to do than it for hours in a car dealership trying to keep a toddler reasonably happy. Simmons responded that he talked to service and they would take care of it. My wife makes her 3rd trip to the dealership and drops off the van. She picks it up a couple days later (4th trip) and drives off only to look to the passenger side and see that they didn't repair the claw marks on the passenger side. Now we simply don't have time to go back again and deal with a dealership in too big of a hurry to take care of details or be concerned with providing customer service. Simmons is clearly too busy because he agreed to fix it, leading us to purchase the vehicle, before he looked inside at the interior and that he wasn't able to make sure the vehicle had been properly fixed before telling us it was ready to be picked up. The finance department was also very pushy about their in-home extended warranty. It is a bit sad because we purchased our vehicle on our second visit because Patrick, our salesperson, was so friendly with us and was not at all pushy. He seems like a genuinely nice person and I'd be happy to have him show me vehicles again, but I don't think I'd bother dealing with Gwinnett Place Honda again. There are lots of dealerships that can immediately take care of issues and respect their customer's time. More
