It's was an easy and pleasant sale experience. However the service center is the worst I have ever experienced. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had for service at a VW dealership. I was quoted the same job at another dealership as 5 hours of work, and Gurnee was able to do the same job in 2 hours, re service at a VW dealership. The lady in the service department was nice, straightforward and followed through on everything she told me. Their shuttle drove me to my home in Buffalo Grove and drove me back when the service was complete. I will never, ever go to another VW dealership for service going forward. This place is the best! I wasted my entire evening discussing costs, prices, and payments with them. They even had me convinced to come back with the guarantee of securing a loan at a similar price. But as soon as I agreed and got everything in writing, they pulled a fast one on me. They ran my credit, everything checked out, they handed me the keys to what was supposed to be my new car, and even got me set up with the phone app. But just when I thought things were finally falling into place, the finance manager dropped a bombshell. He had the audacity to tell me that the numbers the general manager gave me were bogus and they couldn't honor the agreement we had. I specifically asked them to confirm with the finance team before running my credit, but they went ahead anyway, fully aware that the deal wasn't going to work out. Now, thanks to their lies and incompetence, I have a pointless hard inquiry on my credit score. They practically begged me to come back, only to pull the rug out from under me once I had the keys in hand. This place is a joke, run by fools who lack any sense of professionalism or honesty. Save yourself the headache and avoid this establishment in Gurnee like the plague! Zero STARS if I could ! More
