About two weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing business with a team of sales representatives from Gurnee Dodge. But before I explain my experience let me give you some background. I turn 40 in another month and am a bit of a car nut (much to my wife's dismay). I have purchased and owned almost 20 vehicles in the last 23 years. I have purchased cars new and used, from dealerships across Lake County, Carmax (Kenosha), and even Iowa and Indiana. Other than Carmax most of my car buying experiences with Dealerships have been frustrating, disappointing, and not memorable to say the least. Carmax was always enjoyable and extremely easy while giving you a competitive price (not the best, but competitive). Because of our previous car buying experiences my wife and I were apprehensive about going back to a Dealership. We originally had three vehicles in mind: Infinity G37, Nissan Maxima and following in at a distant third was the Dodge Charger (my choice of course). Our plan was to test drive all three vehicles and narrow down to one. I have two separate friends in the car business that I could have placed an order with and had my vehicle at just over dealer cost. However, after two visits with Gurnee Dodge my wife and I decided we had finally found a Dealership that didn't play so many shell games just to make a profit and get you out the door as a number. We had the pleasure of dealing with Eric, Mitch and Nick throughout our experience, and all three were top notch in the industry. We didn't want to play any games, we wanted a good car buying experience with a great price, and we didn't want to walk out feeling like we just got the shirts taken off our backs. Gurnee Dodge provided us with all three!! Yes, we could have walked away from Mitch and the team and went down to my buddies Dealership and possibly saved a couple hundred bucks but we are glad we didn't. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our car buying experience with Gurnee Dodge and I would highly recommend them to any friend or family member of mine. Already looking forward to my next purchase, my new Dodge Ram Crew Cab (wife cringes). Thanks again guys Michael Reed More

He worked with us with our trade in, was very reasonable with the things we were asking for, and gave us an outstanding price for what we drove home. Overall a wonderful experience. We were in and out in less than 2 hours. Our paperwork was complete and thorough. He spent extra time showing us the features of the vehicle before we drove away, connecting the blue tooth, sound system, etc. More
We came in looking for a Chrysler Town and Country Van and were greeted by Ernesto Lopez.-from the minute he approached, his infectious smile and welcoming tone started us in the direction of the most rew and were greeted by Ernesto Lopez.-from the minute he approached, his infectious smile and welcoming tone started us in the direction of the most rewarding car purchase we have ever had.He knew his product line ,he asked us many questions,then pointed out the features that would benefit us and their advantages.He was very patient as he went over the many complicated electronic features that we were unfamiliar with. Our older car had none of these new upgrades.Now we feel ,due to Ernesto,that it all made sense.We had done our research and had been to many "top dealers". None of whom came even close to the level of service and expertise we found at Gurnee dodge.TO MAKE THINGS EVEN BETTER! We were able to come to an easy aggreement on our purchase price after very little fanfair-they dealt with us as valued customers right from the start ,something we did not find at many other dealerships and without hesitation would recommend them for anyone auto needs.While young,Ernesto will go a long way in the sales field.Stop in and seek him out for your next purchase,I think you will agree,this dealership knows how to treat there customers. sincerely Sharon Wilson & family More

First and foremost, the staff at Gurnee Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram are by far the best team of people that I have EVER had the pleasure of dealing with! Now that I've made that clear, the selection of cars Dodge, Ram are by far the best team of people that I have EVER had the pleasure of dealing with! Now that I've made that clear, the selection of cars/trucks (old and new) are awesome! Manny, my salesman and Tommy, the finance manager, worked painstakingly to make sure that I found the right fit vehicle for me :) Just so you know, I'm NOT an easy sell! The deal that I received was definitely ALL for me! Low monthly pmts and top dollar for my trade too! :) So, if you're in the market for a new/used car/truck or jeep, or for any other make and model for that matter, stop by and see "my guys and girls" at Gurnee Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram!! :D D. I prefer to get straight forward answers. You don't get that here until your there for 3-4 hrs. Rather be in and out with an easy transaction, not a headache. I went to the dealership to buy a new Dodge Dart. I showed up to the dealership at 8:00 AM and even though the salesmen where not supposed to show up until 9, Denny was there and helped me. He walked me through the different types of Dart and found the features that worked the best for me with my budget constraints. He was very helpful. I few days after I bought my car, I had some questions and Denny called me right away to answer them. More
The service was very helpful; I called ahead and Many had a few vehicles lined up for me to look at. He noticed that the demonstration RAM truck was the same as mine, except it was an 8 speed which would sa a few vehicles lined up for me to look at. The purchasing and the financing was quick and Many was very helpful throughout the process, including getting me the recent college graduate deal. Nick was able to explain and recommend the ultimate protection warranty for the interior and exterior of the truck. When I left Many was able to quickly explain the features of the truck for me to use. More
As any price conscience consumer can understand, shopping for a vehicle at more than one location benefits the consumer; increases the competition for your business. Apparently this type of shopping does not sit well with this dealer. I spent hours in the dealership working with the sales manager, and was near a deal. Decided to sleep on it, and ended up going with a vehicle at a different dealership. Drove in that day to let them know and thank them for their time since I am always uncomfortable with wasting someones time. I was interrupted after saying i purchased a vehicle from another dealer, the manager said "get the F*** out of my store before I beat your A**," shocked by this i gave him a chance to recant his statement and he proceeded to threaten me and threw me out of the store. He even went farther to threaten me by ruining my credit. This is the most brief overview I can give about what actually happened, but I can promise you I acted fair and reasonably throughout the entire process and they had no grounds for acting the way they did. It's a surprising fact that some people can act in this manner and feel ok with themselves. I hope no one ever has to experience what I went through, but consider this a fair warning that when dealing with this dealership to tread carefully. Best of luck. More
