The first person to greet me at Gurnee Dodge was Brian King. Super nice guy. I told him about a Dodge Caliber that I saw on autotrader.com that they had. One of the first things I said was "I'm not buying a car tonight, this is research", and he said "that's fine. Let's talk a bit about what you are looking for". I had a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 with 216,000 miles on it, and it was time to downsize. No pressure at all. We went for a test drive and went back to the dealer and he showed me some purchasing options, and said the dealer is very generous, and good at working with people to get them what they want. This was a certified used car still under factory warranty. I went back the next day to fine tune my options, but I still didn't know how I was going to come up with a down payment. That's when Tommy Popular, a sales manager joined Brian and I. He very quickly drew out a couple options with no down payment. I found one that I felt really fit my tight budget, and didn't feel at all like they were trying to pull a fast one. I then went and worked with Brian Gifford to put together the financing. Great guy, we had all the paper work done in about 15 minutes, not 2 hours. I got the keys, shook hands with everyone I worked with and drove my new/used car home. The next day, on my way to work on the highway, there was a vibration at 65 mph. I called when I got to work and they said bring it right in. I dropped it off after work, and they gave me a loner. The following day while they had the car to check the vibration, Ray Sovsky, the service manager called me and said "I got bad news... pause... I didn't like the tires that were on your car so I put new ones on... hope you don't mind". I asked who I need to talk to to see about cost and he said "oh no no, it's taken care of. You don't have to pay for them". Dropped the loner off after work that day, said thanks to everyone, and left in my car. It has been 4 days from my first visit to Gurnee Dodge, to coming home and feeling great about my decision to buy from them. Excellent at every step. More

I have been dreaming about purchasing a Ram 1500 Laramie for years. I have been to countless Ram dealerships throughout Illinois. I was very disappointed on how some “salesman” was rude, pushy, or obnoxious for years. I have been to countless Ram dealerships throughout Illinois. I was very disappointed on how some “salesman” was rude, pushy, or obnoxious who only want to get your signature and their commission as fast as possible. In order to get a price from these dealerships, they demanded my phone number and email address, which I told them not to call me until I was ready to buy. Guess what, I’m still getting emails and phone calls from these jerks. Anyway, for about a month I had my eye on a 2014 Ram Laramie at Gurnee Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, driving by every chance I had. Finally I decided to talk to someone. With that said Mr. Mike Ballard step into the picture, from the first handshake to the last one as I pulled out of Gurnee Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram with my “dreams do come true” 2014 Ram Laramie… it was the BEST experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. Mike is an honest tell it like it is, car salesman. Mike’s favorite saying, “'as long as you're honest and straight with me, I can help you.' But he is more than a car salesman. He genuinely likes people and enjoys helping them find what they want. I went to Gurnee Dodge just looking at cars. Hadn't planned on purchasing a vehicle that day but Denny was great about answering questions and showing us several different vehicles. Eric was able to communicate with my whole family of 4 in a way everyone stayed interested through the whole process (2 of them are under 4 years old). We looked at several (Eric would probably say we looked at a lot) of models and trim levels, test drove, had a trade-in appraised, determined a price, went through all paperwork and drove out with a new car in under 3 hours.
