But I am sad to say that the service (or more properly, the lack of service) I've received from Gunther VW of Coconut Creek and Volkswagen of America on my current vehicle has been entirely unsatisfactory. My Tiguan had functional issues with its Trailer Controller Module while I was towing a tiny camper trailer across the Texas desert in the summer heat, being unable to properly charge the trailer's battery while driving. I contacted an authorized VW dealer (VW of Abilene, TX) about this issue while it was under warranty but they were unable to diagnose the problem. When I returned to South Florida I went to my dealer (Gunther) for service on this problem and they were unable to diagnose it with their standard test procedure. I requested that they replace the Trailer Controller Module because it was not working correctly and they refused, saying that their test showed no problem. So I went to another VW dealer (Schumacher VW in West Palm Beach) and paid them $642 to swap out the Trailer Controller and presto, the problem went away. I went back to Gunther and asked for a reimbursement under the Warranty Contract and they declined, stating that I has to contact Volkswagen of America with my claim. After a long song-and-dance VWoA declined to reimburse my expense even though we had shown empirically that the Module was faulty, stating that "the dealer tells us they ran the standard test and there is nothing wrong with your vehicle". It is a sad day when a major company stands behind an incompetent dealer that does not understand modern computerized vehicle technology and refuses to honor their Warranty with a customer. I am sad to say that there will be no more new Volkswagens in my garage in the future. More
Great customer service. Tony Quercia was my salesman back in. October 2016. And even up until yesterday when I was in for service he was as attentive and interested in my ex Tony Quercia was my salesman back in. October 2016. And even up until yesterday when I was in for service he was as attentive and interested in my experience as ever. Just an extremely super salesman without the salesman’s usual pressure. I have often told people about this dealership and Tony. And I will continue to brag about my experience’s at Gunther and with Tony Quercia. Roseanna Russo More
Used to be great. I went in for an oil change and I noticed a tear in my drivers side window tint. I've used the chat on the website, called and left message with a manager, and told the person who calls to check how your visit was. 3 different communications and zero results or call backs. I usually have a great experience at Gunther but this is disappointing. My husband won't be taking his car there anymore either. More

RIPOFF in service department Beware of servicing your Volvo at this dealership! I'd been using Gunther's service department for VW for the past eight years and was always happy w Beware of servicing your Volvo at this dealership! I'd been using Gunther's service department for VW for the past eight years and was always happy with their service, transparency and rates. Now that they've bought the Volvo franchise things have changed. They charge a $177 diagnostic fee ON TOP of $177 per hour when you do the work. NO OTHER Volvo dealer charges that hourly rate and ALL THE OTHER DEALERS WAIVE the diagnostic fee when you do the work with them (and this fee was always waived when they only have VW)! I wasn't even told about the EXTRA $177 fee until two hours after I agreed to do the recommended work. I wrote to the GM on Monday and didn't even get the courtesy of a return call or email. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. RIPOFF RATES! Hold tight to your wallet. More
GUNTHER VW Put my daughter in an UNSAFE CAR!! Took my car in for a regular oil change, Gunther decides to update the computer on my car which cause all the dash light to start flashing. Was told that the car need to have a ABS module changed however they did not have the part in stock so they told me it was safe to drive even with all the lights flashing. I talked to another VW dealer and told him about my situation and he informed me it was unsafe to drive that car..... More

Ten minutes later a nice young lady asked if anyone helped me and I said well I nocked for help but he ignored me completely. She then asked me to drive my car up and stand by my car and another ten minutes later the gentleman that ignored me came to help me, at this point I was already upset because I felt like I was being treated indeferently. Finally I sign the paper work I ask how long, he replied, "I have no idea how long" Really!! I asked about a loaner he said only for overnight cars perfect!! He says then wait for the shuttle and we really don't know how long everyone is out to lunch😡 I doubt VW would send all techs/mechanics out to lunch. 45 minutes later he knew I was upset and he came to advise that the mechanic is looking at the car. I guess it took me to tell him that VW always gives a approximate time for him to know that I was not happy!!! I'm not a complainer but this man, was rude from the begeaning, no customer service skills, not even A 😏 smirk. This is my third VW and the worst experience ever. Honestly I don't need the aggravation next lease will not be here at VW of Coconut Creek I'll go back and drive to Miami that's where they have the best customer service!! I'm really pissed right now😡 Can't stand nasty, rude people. The best thing to the story no managers available for me to speak to. Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow 😳 More

Their customer service has been known as abysmal. Not one person picks up the phone courteously, and they tend to cut you off. One of the managers, Dave Klaus (Fixed Operations Director), provided a terrible customer service with the utmost arrogance, and showed no concern. Why give such people a director position? They seem to avoid any warranty requests, and when they do, they don’t provide a quality service and try to scam you. Their service center cannot keep up with the amount of cars so they often refuse services. Also they always seem to be out of loaner cars. At Gunther VW of Coconut Creek, you are a customer only on the first day…when you buy your car from them. VW’s require high maintenance, therefore, you will be looking for a reliable and friendly service; you won’t be able to count on them. I now have to contact VW Customer Service before I drop off my car there. After all the hard time they’ve given me, I am reporting them to FTC and BBB. More

After a near death experience with my Volkswagen, my wife came to the dealership in tears. Can you imagine, this was the response. If anybody would like to hear (yes hear) a sales representative saying "we just sell the cars, we don't make the cars" let me know. I tried to give a heads up to the GM Rob Klein and employee Carlos J (who made the statement). Can you imagine, a company that is willing to say out loud....we sell the cars, we don't make the cars" This will be the first in a series of posts demonstrating the lack of care and regard for their customers. Keep an eye out for the audio. More
