There are two main issues: the mechanical aspect and the way I was treated as a customer. I have summarized the issues below. June14: Purchased Vehicle June 19: I returned the vehicle for service due way I was treated as a customer. I have summarized the issues below. June14: Purchased Vehicle June 19: I returned the vehicle for service due to steering issues that made it unsafe to drive. The steering column locked when placed in reverse, and the car lost all power. The steering wheel and vehicle vibrated above 65 MPH. When I picked up the vehicle, I was told it had not been PDI'd and had been left in transport mode. This was the first instance of the dealership using the "Stupid Girl" technique, hoping I would go away. The vehicle was also scratched deeply during service and had to be fixed by their paint department since it could not be buffed out. This is a Brand New Vehicle! Total days to attempt repairs on this service = 3 June 26: The vehicle was returned for the same problems with steering and shaking. Upon picking up on 07/10, I noticed that the vehicle had been driven 203 miles during service for an issue that was communicated to occur only when placing the car in reverse. The dealership offered me a free oil change for all the miles driven but did not explain why it happened. Steering wheel vibration above 65 MPH was also not corrected. (2nd attempt) Total days to attempt repairs on this service = 15 August 22: I returned the vehicle due to the persistent vibration in the steering wheel at speeds above 65 mph. (This was my third attempt.) When I was told the car was ready for pickup, I requested a ride with a service technician. The technician informed me during the ride that I needed four new tires. Only two back tires were replaced under warranty after 16 days of waiting. Total days to attempt repairs for this service = 16 September 6: 16 days later, the car was returned to me after VW corporate authorized the replacement of 2 tires. The vehicle was returned with scuffed tires and rims covered in grease. It took over 20 minutes of scrubbing to remove MOST of the grease. (I can forward pictures if needed) The steering wheel still vibrates persistently and is scheduled to return for service again this Tuesday, October 1, 2024. (4th attempt) In addition to these mechanical concerns, my experience with the General Sales Manager, Nick Bellefroid, has left me deeply unsettled. When I brought these issues to his attention, he was insulting, condescending, aggressive, and dismissive. He called me “crazy” and stormed back into the dealership while I was trying to explain my concerns. This behavior has made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable returning to the dealership for service. I purchased a brand-new vehicle expecting reliability and quality, but it has spent nearly as much time in the service department as it has with me since I bought it. I have spent hours driving back and forth to the dealership. I would greatly appreciate your help addressing these ongoing issues and ensuring I am treated with the professionalism and respect that any customer deserves. Most disturbing was that I was told that I had to complete three scheduled services at the dealership, or my warranty would be voided. I will contact the FTC to see if this is, in fact, true. I only wanted to enjoy my new car buying experience; I have not received a dependable or quality automobile or a dealership with which I feel safe and confident to repair it. This will be the fourth attempt to fix it and a total of 34 days in the service department to date for a vehicle I bought on June 14th. I am questioning my purchase decision and wondering if I got a lemon or a lousy dealership. More
Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. Service rep Ryan was very nice. He spoke very highly of the service department which gave me confidence when I bought a used car that was serviced, Service rep Ryan was very nice. He spoke very highly of the service department which gave me confidence when I bought a used car that was serviced, updates made and approved to sell by the dealership. On my way home, a sensor for 1 of the tires lit up on the dash. I had air added at my car service provider....all tires were drastically low on air and all rotors and 2 brake pads needed to be replaced immediately for safety. I contacted Ryan and Daniel/Finance and was told this would be escalated. I was also told I would hear back from the GM. It has been over 2 months and no follow-up. Ryan and Daniel were very nice and seemed to be as helpful as possible. The miss seems to be with management and the service department. Please do not rely on a positive service report from this dealership. Get your car(especially used car) checked by a car service provider you trust. More
By far one of the worst experiences trying to buy a car I have ever seen in my life. The salesmen was fine and nice, the sales manager was condensending, tried to belittle us, tried to call us liars and cont have ever seen in my life. The salesmen was fine and nice, the sales manager was condensending, tried to belittle us, tried to call us liars and continued to talk crap to us as we were leaving in disgust. I will never shop at a Gunther dealer ever again. They got me to the dealer by saying they could do the deal then all of a sudden they can’t after driving 45 mins to them. Run far far away! More
Very accommodating, welcoming and clean! Made an appointment for regular service via email, arrived 15 minutes prior, taken in and was told it would be an hour. On time, my car is serviced Made an appointment for regular service via email, arrived 15 minutes prior, taken in and was told it would be an hour. On time, my car is serviced, washed and ready to roll. I had a couple of questions afterwards and Kevin was courteous and insightful. Really appreciate being treated as a valued customer. More

From Jarrod the salesman all the way to the finance manager. not only will they mark a car up 10k over msrp and not tell you before running your cred From Jarrod the salesman all the way to the finance manager. not only will they mark a car up 10k over msrp and not tell you before running your credit. They will waste your time have you come to the dealership to tell you that found a sucker who will pay more then you. BUYER BEWARE don't waste your time. GO TO TOM BUSH VW in Jacksonville, they won't mark your car over MSRP and won't waste your time. Stay away from ALL GUNTHER owned dealerships. https://www.tombushvw.com/ More
I went in because I saw an ad for a pre-owned Tiguan SEL in the color I was looking for. I met with Big Al who was a great guy. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. I found out that he was re in the color I was looking for. I met with Big Al who was a great guy. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. I found out that he was relatively new to the car sales business. He had the vehicle ready for me to test drive. Once I test drove the car, I went inside to discuss everything with him. He tried to get me the deal in the budget I needed but since he was new he brought me to one of the finance managers Dan. Dan was just as great to deal with. He did everything he could to make a deal in my budget. I ended up buying the car. Now for the parts that I didn't find so great. For starters, no one ever told me that the car only had one key fob until after I was ready to take delivery. These fobs are expensive and I wish I would have known that beforehand. Also, I didn't get to see the Carfax until after I signed all the paperwork and the Carfax stated that the car had previous minor damage to the front. Again, I wish I was told this before I signed the paperwork. Next, in inspecting the car at delivery, I noticed the power liftgate wasn't closing properly. I mention this with Big Al and he said he would get it taken care of as well as try and call the previous owner to see if they had the other key fob. I also felt that even though this car was out of the manufacturers warranty, a warranty should have been offered to me regardless. Now I have have to buy an extended warranty from another dealer for 3 grand. Not fair but it is what happens when you buy a used car. As far as the power liftgate is concerned, I brought it back and Big Al had Mike in the service department take a look at it and he is ordering new parts for it to be fixed. Because Big Al said that he would take care of it before I bought the car, I don't have to pay for it which is a relief. All in all, did I have a fantastic experience with this dealer? No. But I didn't have a bad experience. I just wish Al and Dan would have been more forthright and transparent with the information about offering me a bumper to bumper car warranty and key fob. In fairness to them, I don't think they were doing anything underhanded though, I just wish these things would have been told to me before I signed any paperwork. Key Fobs are not cheap and now with a baby on the way, I have to figure out a way to fit another large purchase such as a $150 key fob into my budget. As far as the service department is concerned, you can't find any two service writers better than Jermaine and Mike. They are honest and will tell you the truth without trying to sell you anything. They are also two great guys! I recommend Gunther VW/Volvo to purchase and service your car but just make sure you get all the information about whatever car you're planning on buying from the sales department before you sign on the dotted line. Went there to buy, found the car we liked and they gave me a value for my trade. So we agreed and went to the closing table and they offered $0 for out trade and insisted that this was the deal. What a b me a value for my trade. So we agreed and went to the closing table and they offered $0 for out trade and insisted that this was the deal. What a bunch of unethical liars. More
Avoid this dealership! They contacted me to confirm my appointment. I confirmed, told them I was on my way and driving from Melbourne to Daytona. I arrived 30 minutes early only to be told my salesman was tied up and the car sold that morning. My appointment wasn't until 2:30, they had plenty of time to let me know. When I texted the salesman, he tried to blame me for not communicating yet, I had responded to his email and texts which he had acknowledged and I even let him know when I was on my way. Drove over 120 miles for nothing. Shady tactics, dirty bathrooms, unprofessional personnel. Go somewhere else. More
