The paperwork was a breeze because he was totally prepared for us by the time we got there. We could not have asked for a better salesman. Josh was more than competent and professional. I went in to test drive the 2014 Kia Optima SX Turbo with my partner. After the test drive, I fell in love with the car. Unfortunately, while walking back towards the showroom the salesman felt comfortable e my partner. After the test drive, I fell in love with the car. Unfortunately, while walking back towards the showroom the salesman felt comfortable enough to say to me during conversation, "Oh you're a smart a$$ too." I was completely offended. Even worse, he didn't apologize to correct the situation until I asked him to do so. I then asked to speak with his manager. Instead of getting his manager right away so we didn't have to wait, he decided to pull his manager outside and talk to him alone on our time instead. We then had to walk outside and meet the manager ourselves. The sales manager showed no remorse to the situation what so ever. It showed in his actions that he finds this type of behavior to disrespect customer's as acceptable. The manager told us we have two options, "Brush it off and continue working with the salesman or to work with another salesman." Unbelievable. I told them I will take my $35,000 elsewhere where I am respected. I don't think the owner of Gunther Kia would be happy with these two employees. More
The last time I had my vehicle serviced here, Orlando convinced me that my alignment was off and sold me a lifetime alignment package for $204. He said because of the uneven wear pattern on the tire it n convinced me that my alignment was off and sold me a lifetime alignment package for $204. Because I was leaving town that weekend with my 2 small children and wife, I did not want to take any chances so I had it done. Well, apparently they did not mind taking chances with the lives of my family because after I left that place, the car became increasingly shaky over the next few weeks. The car got so bad that it started creaking like an old wooden ship when we backed the car up, it was shaking hard at 30 MPH and higher, and we had to turn the wheel an 1/8th of a turn to the left to keep the car straight. It got so bad, I had to check the tires to see what was happening and luckily so because there was practically a strip of tire missing from the inside tread of the driver side rear tire. At one spot, there was an oval shaped wear pattern which exposed and wore away the steel belt, leaving the final soft layer of tire exposed. My family could have died as a result of this dealership's negligence. Maybe that is the sales tactic for the "lifetime alignments", kill the family so they don't return to collect on further alignment services. I immediately called and left a message for Orlando to have it either corrected or my money refunded at the very least; however it has been almost two (2) weeks and no call back. The very next day, I took my Kia Sorento to a real tire and alignment shop and had the damaged tire replaced and the piece they forgot to tighten repaired. I tried to dispute the charge on my card but they would no let me. Do not, I mean do not go here for service, besides waiting until you are old and gray for your car to get an oil change, you may also be risking your life by doing so. More
I was first contacted by Joshua Clinton way before I was contemplating whether I should try to buy a new car. All I did was look at the price of a Sportage on a Kia website. Joshua called me within minutes of my inquiry asking about my interest in a new car. I explained to him my circumstances; that I wasn't quite ready to buy. His demeanor was so courteous and professional, it really blew me away. I gave him my email information, and he kept in touch with me monthly until I told him I was finally ready to look at a new Sportage. That was the only car I was really interested in but had doubts whether I could qualify for a loan. In early February, when I came in, I had gotten there by taxi because the car I was driving (a 2002 Sportage) had broken down and was not in running condition. Joshua made me feel extremely comfortable in his office. He explained that my circumstances weren't all that dire and he would do what he could to help me get the Sportage I so wanted. He wrote down some numbers on a piece of paper, went off to the finance office and came back in telling me that I would need more of a down payment. I told him that wasn't a problem, but I'd have to come back in a couple of months when I had saved more. But then he asked what my top number could be for a down payment, and when I told him, he went back to the finance guy. Within 10 minutes, he came back in and told me I would be able to get the Sportage I wanted!!! Wow!!! I was in tears. No one has ever treated me the way Joshua did. For the first time ever, I did not once feel intimidated like I had every other place I had ever been because of my credit score. He treated me with the utmost respect. Words really cannot express how grateful I am to Joshua for helping me get into a new car that I really needed. I love my new car and I have Joshua to thank for driving it. It was the absolute most pleasant experience I ever had buying a new car. Even when I go back to Gunther for service, they go out of their way to make my time there as pleasant as possible. I will never forget that and would recommend anyone I know buying a car to go to Gunther and especially to Joshua. More
When I purchase a vehicle, I do extensive research. I visit dealership websites to see if they have specials, online applications, chat, inventory listed, etc. I zeroed in on the Kia Cadenza, first becau visit dealership websites to see if they have specials, online applications, chat, inventory listed, etc. I zeroed in on the Kia Cadenza, first because of the looks and size, but after I really educated myself, I found a vehicle that every feature I wanted PLUS some that I didn't know I wanted but now can't live without. I traded my Jaguar in which I loved. After almost three months the Jag is just a fond memory. No buyer remorse here! This car is fast, sleek, technology PACKED, and Joshua Clinton made the buying process so easy. At first it seemed so easy that I doubted him. I even went to another dealership, and there was simply no comparison. It was old school, "Hey, what can I do to put you in a new car today?" garbage. I did everything online at Gunther Kia's website. When Josh called me, he simply asked me to fax some documents, ID, proof of insurance, etc. I had already driven the car prior to my looking at leasing one, my friend in California got one. So when Josh called me and asked what color I'd like to drive away with and can I be there in 45 minutes so he can get me out of there to make it on time to the Miami Dolphin game, I was all smiles. You have to understand, my previous cars were two Jaguars, three Mercedes, and a Lexus SC400. This car, this Sales Director, and this process were superior. What else can I say? More
when we bought our kia sorento in 2012, my wife bought the service package. BIG MISTAKE! DO NOT PURCHASE THE SERVICE PACKAGE!! *warning*. every time i came here to have the car serviced, they told me it would be fast. i have been here since 0815 today waiting for a simple oil change. it is now 1100 and i am still waiting. take your kia anywhere else for service or do it yourself. do not pre pay for service, you lose out with the lost time alone. i have maybe 5 scheduled services left and i refuse to come back, they can keep that money! this is the third car I bought from Gunther kia, they are the best dealership I have ever bought a car from. I did visit another dealership and walked out angry, but the Kia experience rivaled and bested my other car buying dealerships experiences like Acura, Mercedes Benz, Lexus and Infiniti. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. They were outstanding! I never felt pressured, or were asked to do anything that would make me feel uncomfortable. Josh was thorough in demonstrating the technology (AMAZING) of my new vehicle, and it is said that really great technology seems like magic! Well the Cadenza has a magical feel about it, you have to see it to believe it! My previous car was a Jaguar, and I really was shocked to feel like the Kia was a step up. More
Mr. Cody Clinton is a true salesperson, willing to help and make the customer feel comfortable. He even took the extra time to locate a vehicle and allow me to drive it back. Their Manager got too greedy and would not honor what my trade was actually worth. The verdict - Mr Cody great individual, honest and transparent. Their managers not so pleasing. When other dealers offered me $18,000 for my trade, Gunther offered me $13,000. After Cody got involved he was able to get 17,000 for the trade; however the manager refused to give 18,000 not even after being a repeat customer many times over. On a prior transaction I was given $3,700 for a PERFECT Clean trade with high Mileage only to be sold in 6 days for $8900. Great place to do a straight purchase; however if a trade is involved, I would not recommend since they under value trades. More
