I highly recommend Gunther Kia of Fort Lauderdale for their exceptional professionalism and transparency showed throughout my leasing experience. Since the very first text message , the sales associate M their exceptional professionalism and transparency showed throughout my leasing experience. Since the very first text message , the sales associate Maylene Nieves stood out by providing clear, straightforward guidance without ever hiding details about pricing or lease terms. I greatly appreciated her honesty and efficiency. A special thanks also goes to the Sales Manager Jorge Zaldivar and the Finance Manager Manny Pulido, who worked with me to secure a deal that satisfied everyone, all while maintaining a positive, respectful and pressure-free attitude. This was, by far, the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. If you value clear communication, serious and direct answers, and a sales process free of sneaky tactics, I strongly encourage you to consider Gunther Kia as your first choice. I really appreciated that the price quoted over the phone was exactly what I signed for—no surprises or hidden fees. Kudos to the entire team for their professionalism and integrity! Thank you again and see you for the next car 😉 More

We had an 11:00 AM appointment and were told it would take 2 hours for a diagnosis. After 2.5 hours I asked the service rep about my car's status and he didn't yet know. I told him that he said it would take 2 hours for the diagnosis and he replied, "I said it would take at least 2 hours," he lied. When I finally got the diagnosis after 4 hours of waiting, I was told that they needed to order a part and couldn't do the repair. So that was that and I drove home angry and wholly unsatisfied with Gunther Kia's service department. You should also know because I was told this: "Your appointment time is with a service advisor." Be prepared to be lied to and worse from this dealer's absolutely horrible service department. More
Simply put: they are a trap. They keep your car hostage with the diagnostic fee, either you do the service when you know they are xx you ou you have to pay the fee. My 79 year old mother and 85 year old father who has dementia were pressured into selling her car and trading it in for a new car lease. Gunther Kia valued their 2019 Final Edition Volkswagen Beetle Con dementia were pressured into selling her car and trading it in for a new car lease. Gunther Kia valued their 2019 Final Edition Volkswagen Beetle Convertible at $20,000 and then immediately listed it for $34,373 which is a 74% increase from the price my mother was paid days earlier. Gunther Kia deserves to make a reasonable profit, but this is manipulation of an elderly woman and her husband who is struggling with dementia and doesn’t have the capacity to understand what they have agreed to. Knowing how undervalued the trade-in was based on KBB, Edmunds, Carfax and a CarMax appraisal I contacted Gunther Kia and Gunther Volkswagen within an hour of my mother signing explaining that they did not understand the contract and asking them to unwind the trade-in and I would pay cash for the $8,177.30 down payment. Gunther Kia refused to consider this request and my repeated attempts over the past week to contact Jake Howard (Sales Manager), Pedro Reyes (Finance Manager) and David Del Pozo (General Manager) have all been unanswered. My parents have been longtime repeat customers of Gunther Motors. They purchased 7 cars from Alan D'Agostino at Gunther Volkswagen over the years and felt comfortable that when he referred them to his partners at Gunther Kia that they would have their best interests and would take care of them. Clearly this was not the case and Gunther Kia seized upon the opportunity to cheat them out of the equity in their trade-in and pressure them into accepting an unscrupulous and unfair deal. More

They said it's Kia's new policy this year that you can only do a lease buy out from the dealer you got the car from. Right after I called Kia directly and they admitted that this dealership lied to me and just didnt want to deal with the buyouy. So Gunther Kia wasted my time by telling me to come in(knowing its for a lease buyout), to turn me away and lie to my face. Save your time and find another dealer that doesn't lie and waste people's time or have shady sales tactics More
Been Kia customer for almost 3 years and our experience at this location is making us think twice if we want to continue being customers. Never had any issues at other locations when it came to having you at this location is making us think twice if we want to continue being customers. Never had any issues at other locations when it came to having your vehicle serviced. Always paid $99 dollar, but for a strange reason this location does things differently. Been at this location for 3 times and paid the $99. Even my spouse was being charged the same amount. The last visit was charged $111 that did not make any sense, when questioning the amount being told that it was a courtesy. That made me more concerned because all of a sudden was a courtesy when we never asked for anything to be discounted. On top of this situation we had service that was not completed 100% a few times being there and being charged for the items. If we didn't notice the other time, they would of kept charging for it not letting us know. The last visit we observed the technician servicing our vehicle, we were surprised what we saw. We asked for the tires to be rotated, he never. He just did the basic service and after noticing this. I went to speak to the service advisor and stated that she was told that the rotation was done. I showed her how the tires are marked because of the experience that we already encountered in the past. She had the technician do the rotation and after the technician was done. He approached us to apologized, states that he was to busy and did not feel like doing the tire rotation. After hearing him speak makes you think how many customers they have done this too. Pay for service not being completed 100% because it was too busy and didn't feel like doing it. The dealership doesn't have a good system in place when it comes for customers that makes appointments, customers that do make appointments end up waiting longer than usual. For a regular service you would be waiting almost 4 hours. More

Caveat Emptor I bought and leased five vehicles from KIA MOTORS since 2015. In 2018 I leased a hybrid Kia Niro from Gunther Kia Fort Lauderdale for 4 years. My first time leasing a car. I returned the KIA MOTORS since 2015. In 2018 I leased a hybrid Kia Niro from Gunther Kia Fort Lauderdale for 4 years. My first time leasing a car. I returned the vehicle at the end of the lease on September 26, 2022, with low mileage, in good condition. The dealership did not have a comparable vehicle at the time. New cars would be arriving starting October 04, 2022 The young salesperson named Miguel and manager Jason Shirley suggested I extend the lease. KIA Motors, which I contacted by phone on September 23,2022 indicated I was not eligible for an extension, to contact dealer. At the dealership, asking if I had equity in my 2018 KIA, the salesperson assured I had equity. He asked if I wanted to buy the car. I was not willing to buy the vehicle for $12,000 and preferred using any equity to start a new lease. My primary concern was not to default on my lease. I asked if my car could be at the dealership until the new car arrived. Jason Shirley, the manager told me, if I chose to leave my car with the dealership, it would be “grounded,” a jargon I did not understand. I asked if the car was safe, the answer was yes. I signed the mileage report, left my car at the dealership that night, and asked them to please call as soon as a new car arrived emphasizing, I wanted the new hybrid Kia Niro. No explanation given that, by leaving my car in their care, I would be losing all equity to begin a new contract. Gunther Kia called me October 04, 2022. A new Kia Niro had arrived. The dealership did not to know the program for the new Kia Niro, the car was for sale, not lease. Upon my return to the dealership, much to my dismay, I was told I could not use the 2018 KIA Niro as a trade in to start a new lease for the 2023 KIA Niro. I pleaded with them to collaborate with me, explained I did not understand what “grounded” meant. Jason Shirley, the manager told me there was nothing he could do and offered to sell me the 2018 Kia Niro as a pre-owned certified KIA vehicle at a much higher price: $19,000.00. Gunther KIA Fort Lauderdale preys on loyal, albeit uneducated customers. To this KIA dealership, my seven years of patronage meant nothing. To them, the only thing that matters is profit. I am very disappointed with Gunther Kia Service Deprtment. I have a 2014 Kia Sportage. I use to go to Hollywood Kia but didn't like the customer service so I switched to Gunther Kia. In June I too Deprtment. I have a 2014 Kia Sportage. I use to go to Hollywood Kia but didn't like the customer service so I switched to Gunther Kia. In June I took my car to Gunther Kia for a chirping noise in my engine. I told them that I was pretty sure it was the AC. When I turned the AC off, the noise stopped and when I turned the AC back on the noise started again. **Side note, i have an extended warrantee.** About 2 hours after I got there they told me that the chirping noise was from my serpentine belt. Now I am not a mechanic so I went with it. I was charged $40 for the belt and $200 to put it in. Absolut robbery! When I went home and my other half drove the car, he still heard the noise. Since I just left Kia, I decided to wait and see if the noise gets worse or stops. Per Hollywood Kia my warrantee was still good through November of 2022. Fast forward to October, I had to do an oil change so I made an appointment with Gunther Kia. When I took my car in, i asked them to check out the chirping again. The mechanic called me 3 hours later and said he didn't hear the chirping. I told him to get back in the car and shut everything off. Driver for a few moments and turn AC on. He will hear it. I also told him that I knew it was the clutch in the compressor for the AC that is going. My man does AC work for a living and already looked at it. But I have a warrantee so I brought it to Kia to fix. Mechanic said I was right and he will take the car out again and get the compressor switched out. Around 4 hours later I get anther call that my warrantee was expired 3 weeks prior. Now Hollywood Kia told me multiple times that my warrantee was expired in November. Now I am irritated. I called the warrantee company to see if they would push the claim through. They asked me to have Kia send the report from June when I first brought the car in for the issue so they could see if this was a prior issue. Gunther sent it in. At around 5pm i went to pick up my car. Had a talk with the service manager, which was very nice but did not want to take responsibility that Gunther's mechanic did not diagnose my car correctly in the first place and that is why Gunther is now trying to charge me $1,000 to change out the compressor. My AC works, its just making a noise. I did not have them do the work. I did go purchase another extended warrantee but with my new one, I can go to any certified mechanic shop. I will not go back to Kia again. They overcharge and when the mechanic misdiagnoses the car, they don't want to admit it. I am done with dealerships service departments. & I read a review about the sales men brushing you off there. I got the same thing when the Service rep. was trying to hook me up with a finance gentleman to get a new extended warrantee... Juan and Wilfredo helped me. Great guys!! Answered all my questions and had great customer service skills! Alex on the other had told the Service Rep. to find someone else to help me. He was sitting in his office leaned back in his chair on a obviously personal call and didn't want to hang up to help a customer. Sad. More
