Excellent service. They worked with us to meet our needs - price, color, amenities. They answered all our questions and if one of them does not know the answer, they always find someone who can answer it. - price, color, amenities. What brought us back to gunn Acura was Peter Eng, he was very accommodating and pleasant when we were there last August. My son test drove the RDX and he was impressed. We have been dealing with Gunn Acura since 2004 (purchase, service, etc..). When the old 2004 TL was totaled, we replaced it with another TL from Gunn. Our sales Rep this was Peter Eng. My experience with Gunn Acura was nothing short of amazing. Years ago, I used to enjoy the car shopping/purchase transaction. However, I’ve also grown tired of the game most dealerships seem to play these days. This was not the case with Peter Eng, nor anyone at Gunn Acura in San Antonio. I sensed a genuine caring and congenial nature from everyone I met, especially Peter Eng. Peter was extremely knowledgeable, open, honest, and fun to work with, as he has a great sense of humor. I plan to recommend Peter to everyone I know who is interested in purchasing a new vehicle. No, I didn’t purchase an Acura, but that isn’t because I didn’t want to buy the MDX. My spouse made it clear that we needed a larger vehicle to replace my totaled Suburban. And so it will be, another Suburban. Regardless, great job Peter…you made our Gunn Acura experience outstanding. More

We drove from the border in south west Texas to do an errand in San Antonio and did not have to buy a vehicle but were interested. A friend had given us a good word on Gunn Honda. We recently bought a new TL from Gunn Acura. Our salesman was David Fanning. HE IS AWESOME! When we bought the car we made a deal to bring it back to get the windows tinted. First time we got the windows tin was David Fanning. HE IS AWESOME! When we bought the car we made a deal to bring it back to get the windows tinted. First time we got the windows tinted the quality was terrible. They did not wash the windows prior to applying the tint and there were small bits of dust in all the air bubbles. Also, they did not cut the tint to fit the window...it was too small and you could see where the tint was not covering the windows from the outside. I brought the car back to have the tint redone a week later. When I picked it up the second time, the tint job was still unacceptable with the same issues as the first time. One of the windows was not retinted....they literally did not retint it. I brought this to the managers attention and he lied saying he personally watched the man take all the tint off the car. I am extremely frustrated with Gunn Acura and the quality of work in regards to the tint job. We will be getting our money back and getting the tint redone (for the THIRD time) elsewhere. David Fanning is amazing. We would love to work with him again...but not at Gunn Acura. Not only will my husband I never buy from Gunn again, we will certainly not be having our car serviced there either. More
We were In the process of purchasing a 2006 Acura RSX and when we were presented with the price breakdown. I questioned the Dealer’s Inventory tax that I was responsible to pay for. Even though it was a mere when we were presented with the price breakdown. I questioned the Dealer’s Inventory tax that I was responsible to pay for. Even though it was a mere $25+ I’m still a man of principle and don’t believe I should pay for something the dealer is responsible for paying himself. This is a great example of how this particular dealer can pass on fees to their customers. I walked away to do more researching on the Internet and came upon this statement, “The Dealer’s inventory tax charge is intended to reimburse the dealer for ad valorem taxes on its motor vehicle inventory. The charge, which is paid by the dealer to the county tax assessor-collector is not a tax imposed on a consumer by the government, and is NOT required to be charged by the dealer to the consumer.” I called GUNN ACURA and asked if they could waive the $25+ fee and I will come in to do up the paperwork. GUNN ACURA did not accept my condition and explained to me that it was a sales tax paid to the county tax assessor and they were not willing to waive the fee. It saddens me that they were not empathetic to customers during these tough economic times and cared only about their “bottom Line.” Well, needless to say I did not do any more business with this dealership and will not recommend them to any of my friends and relatives. I’m a military veteran and hope military folks and veterans alike, closely question this dealership’s core values. Next time you go ahead with a purchase and think they are on your side, closely examine all fees tacked on to your final price and question the ones you aren’t sure about. If they weren’t willing to waive a $25 fee/tax, what other fees can they pass on to you? Or you can just skip this dealer and spend your money with a dealership who’s willing to work with their customers. More
I'm not a very good negotiator and Gunn takes all that worry out of the picture. It is truly a no haggle environment. Once they set the price that's it. I was missing some of the paperwork that I needed to finalize the deal, but they didn't seem to mind and they worked around it so that I could take my car home that night. I had a trade in for my car and I thought they were very generous on what they offered me for it. This is my second car that I've bought from them and after this experience I don't think I'll be going any where else. More
I have yet to purchase, but what an experience. I was greeted by David in sales and I must say this was by far the best experience I have had since I began looking for a used vehicle. David took his time in showing the used Acura's I had requested to look at, it was a little late and we didn't fill rushed at all. The sales manager Ed help out when we had a few questions David was unable to answer about finance, and like David he was very courteous and pleasant to deal with as well. I will definitely be buying from the Gunn group. More
