Peter did a great Job of explaining the vehicle and allowing us the time to test out multiple vehicles without hassling us over which vehicle we would purchase. Having just moved to San Antonio from the UK I was in the market for two cars. I hadn't heard of Acura before but so far we have been very pleased with the product. It offers value for money with a great quality and finish. I was obviously new to the Gunn dealership and at first was skeptical about the simple price but I was pleasantly surprised. I found Peter Eng and the Gunn team to be genuine in their efforts to make the experience as best they can. As we were buying second hand we had to source one vehicle from another dealer just because Gunn didn't have the stock we were looking for. It really wasn't a pleasant experience compared to Gunn. I would highly recommend Gunn and in particular Peter Eng. At no time did I feel pressured in the sales process but rather a real focus to meet our requirements. More
I purchased a vehicle back in September and I wanted to ensure I gave the salesman, David Fanning kudos. He did an excellent job helping find a vehicle. He was patient and kept me abreast of any vehicles t ensure I gave the salesman, David Fanning kudos. He did an excellent job helping find a vehicle. He was patient and kept me abreast of any vehicles that fit the Information I gave to him. The managers were ok, however their customer service skills could use some improvement. You could tell the genuineness of their conversation was "just doing their job". I also noticed how they interacted with men versus women, which was not the same across the board. It could be because there are no saleswomen to bring balance to the buying experience. I also had an opportunity to visit their service department where I was taken care of by the Service Advisor, Pat Gonzalez. She did an excellent job of ensuring the issue with the vehicle I bought 2 days prior was taken care of. The sad part about this entire issue was I had to pay the $100 deductible on bushings that I am not sure why were not checked prior to the sale. They did decide to replace my brakes for free but the brakes were a part of the 85 point inspection and should have been replaced during the preparation stage anyway. My point? Do it right the first time! This was my second time purchasing a vehicle from Gunn. This time I loved my salesman and the service advisor however I am not sure everyone is in on Gunn's vision. Areas of improvement? Finding people with the gift of selling as well customer service skills and people who take pride in ensuring the vehicles being sold have been thoroughly checked prior to the sale. I also recommend having more women on staff for balance. I definitley recommend the Salesman, David Fanning, Service Adviosr Pat Gonzalez Advisor in the Service Department and Salesman, Art Miller who if I did not purchase with David's assistance, would have been my next choice. Excellent service. They worked with us to meet our needs - price, color, amenities. They answered all our questions and if one of them does not know the answer, they always find someone who can answer it. - price, color, amenities. What brought us back to gunn Acura was Peter Eng, he was very accommodating and pleasant when we were there last August. My son test drove the RDX and he was impressed. Mr Eng explained every features to him even though he knew that we were not ready to buy at that time. He treated us very well. More
We have been dealing with Gunn Acura since 2004 (purchase, service, etc..). When the old 2004 TL was totaled, we replaced it with another TL from Gunn. Our sales Rep this was Peter Eng. My experience with Gunn Acura was nothing short of amazing. Years ago, I used to enjoy the car shopping/purchase transaction. However, I’ve also grown tired of the game most dealerships seem to play these days. This was not the case with Peter Eng, nor anyone at Gunn Acura in San Antonio. I sensed a genuine caring and congenial nature from everyone I met, especially Peter Eng. Peter was extremely knowledgeable, open, honest, and fun to work with, as he has a great sense of humor. I plan to recommend Peter to everyone I know who is interested in purchasing a new vehicle. No, I didn’t purchase an Acura, but that isn’t because I didn’t want to buy the MDX. My spouse made it clear that we needed a larger vehicle to replace my totaled Suburban. And so it will be, another Suburban. Regardless, great job Peter…you made our Gunn Acura experience outstanding. More
I recently bought a 2006 TSX, took it back about a week ago for a brake job and oil change. Delt with a man named Tomas- who had great customer serivce. We drove from the border in south west Texas to do an errand in San Antonio and did not have to buy a vehicle but were interested. A friend had given us a good word on Gunn Honda. We found Gunn Acura on the way and were so impressed that we pursued a vehicle through them. We are very happy with the vehicle and price and will see them again for our future vehicle needs. More
We recently bought a new TL from Gunn Acura. Our salesman was David Fanning. HE IS AWESOME! When we bought the car we made a deal to bring it back to get the windows tinted. First time we got the windows tin was David Fanning. HE IS AWESOME! When we bought the car we made a deal to bring it back to get the windows tinted. First time we got the windows tinted the quality was terrible. They did not wash the windows prior to applying the tint and there were small bits of dust in all the air bubbles. Also, they did not cut the tint to fit the window...it was too small and you could see where the tint was not covering the windows from the outside. I brought the car back to have the tint redone a week later. When I picked it up the second time, the tint job was still unacceptable with the same issues as the first time. One of the windows was not retinted....they literally did not retint it. I brought this to the managers attention and he lied saying he personally watched the man take all the tint off the car. I am extremely frustrated with Gunn Acura and the quality of work in regards to the tint job. We will be getting our money back and getting the tint redone (for the THIRD time) elsewhere. David Fanning is amazing. We would love to work with him again...but not at Gunn Acura. Not only will my husband I never buy from Gunn again, we will certainly not be having our car serviced there either. More
