First, I was stuck in line behind a car in line for service where the service tech and the car owner had a 25-minute discussion. It took that long before another service tech came over to help me. Second, I called before I brought the car in for an oil change (I do not know the name of the person I talked with), I asked specifically what it was going to cost me for the service, as I was comparative shopping. The amount quoted did not include "shop supplies" of $11.43. I would not have gone to Grove Subaru if I had known about the expense. I did know about the shop supply charge until I was paying for the completed work. I was given a written estimate of the cost of the change, which did include the shop supply charge, at the time I was given the actual bill for payment. The work performed was done timely. More
