I brought my WRX in to find out why my right front tire was wearing different than the other tires and a noise was coming from that tire/wheel. I was told my 2010 WRX needed over 1800.00 in front end repa was wearing different than the other tires and a noise was coming from that tire/wheel. I decided to get a second opinion and when I took it to a local repair shop (Ralphs) they informed me that the problem was that the tire in question was flat. I couldn't tell because they are blizzak run flat tires and you can't tell by looking at them and for the most part the car handles fine. I was charged $158.00 for repair, rotation and alignment..Thank you Ralph's for being an outstanding service shop. Hard to believe, car is working great and I will bad mouth this place every chance I get. I own a large company in the area and I amazed that places like this still exist..hopefully not for long. More

Still Bitter after all these years......I purchased my used Subaru from this dealership back in 2003 when it was Burt Subaru. I was then a struggling nursing student, commuting all over the city for clinicals. My car had died so I was under pressure to purchase a used car fast. I was taken in by salesperson Kristian Lee, who verbally spoke about throwing in extras-like a dog divider for the back. After putting my entire meager savings down on the car and being worked through the finance department I felt a little pushed into taking the car off the lot. I did think the finance kinks were worked out, and I took the car home. A day later, while at my weekend job I received a call from Kristian that my warranty could not be financed and he asked that I put down some additional money. What???? After conferring with my workmates, I decided I ought to take the car back to him and told him just that. I said I'd bring the car back to him at the end of my workday. Lo and behold he calls me back to let me know the news that not only was the warranty financed, but my payments would be $40.00 less per month. I found that exchange to be strange. Now that I'm older, as is my car, I look back at my file folder of car upkeep, and I see that I was young and naive, and I'd been "had" by Burt Subaru. Over the years this company sent out "recall" notices as "precautionary measures" in order to generate business. One in particular was notice #WWP-99, recommending that a special conditioner be added to the engine cooling system. As a young car owner I fell for it, but looking back at the paperwork now, I see it as a ploy to get car owners in to the service station. Most recalls are covered at no charge-this one required a $100.00 payment to flush the system. I see now that it was worded to scare the consumer into thinking if action was taken it would extend the warranty coverage for 8 years. They didn't extend my warranty!!!! I was once having my oil changed there (before I caught on to the inflated price of service), and one of their service team members told me that most of the guys that work there would sell their own mothers down the river. I believed that. I quit taking my car in for service after I found a decent & honest Subaru mechanic. I would recommend calling around to price shop before you take your Subaru into this service department at Groove. The same managers are still employed there-same people-different name. Due to my lack of car buying knowledge, my desperation, and lack of time to check things out, I was taken advantage of by this dealership. I paid $2000.00 more than the Kelly blue book price, and the finance charges were over $4000.00. In essence I paid 6K more than the car was worth, and I didn't get full disclosure of the car's previous body damage. There was no transparency, and I was promised small things that were never delivered. If you're buying a car and you must finance it I would try a credit union or a family friend before you deal with this finance department. Seek repairs elsewhere. I should have strong-armed Kristian Lee into giving me the dog divider that he promised. Back then I was preoccupied and uninformed, but I'm a lot wiser now. I serve as a warning to help others avoid the financial misfortune I've encountered at Burt-which is now Groove. More

I had a terrible experience with Groove Subaru when trying to purchase a new vehicle. From the beginning it was hard to listen to my sales man blatantly lie to me about what car he drives and even sayi trying to purchase a new vehicle. From the beginning it was hard to listen to my sales man blatantly lie to me about what car he drives and even saying that his best mans name was my own but then writing my name down incorrectly later on in the process. His terrible one liners and awkward courtesy check ins on whether or not I was comfortable made me wonder if I still needed formula for dinner or to hurry home to take a shower. He was so aggressive that when I realized that a deal was not going to be able to be made that day it was pathetic the way he kept begging me to help him. At one point in time the thought of threatening him with the police in order to receive my trade in keys back from "his manager" came into my head. Even if a deal were to be made I would never have given this guy the satisfaction of knowing he was part of the deal and am glad i will not be giving my business to Groove Auto. Thanks guy that rhymes with Karen and starts with a D. More

We went in and were greeted by a man named Dan. He was so informative and helpful throughout the process of buying our new Subaru. I went in to buy a used car. I thought I was getting a great deal. I was wrong. I learned shortly after my visit that I was lied to by the salesman about window coating that was required for cars being so great deal. I was wrong. I had never owned a Suburu before and if it was something that their company required ok I was good with that. I found out a few weeks later it was NOT required but only suggested. Then I tried to bring it in for service on stuff the salesman said they would fix for me. I dropped the car off for the day. Wasn't called to tell me my car was ready. I called them towards the end of the day and they said they had to order parts for it. I went to get my car and the service guy was no where to be found. 3 weeks later I called to see if parts were in. They had been there so long they had been restocked. Then Joe Sparks, the service person over my vehicle said that it was a lot of compensated work and I needed to go back to my salesman to make sure all of this was to be done. I tried, and it took over a week and I had no reponse. I finally got ahold of the sales manager to get it looked in to. Then I get an email from the sales man. I called the Service Manager as well and complained. They finally got my case moved over to Dave who was more responsive. However, when I finally brought my car in for service Dave wasn't there and Mr. Sparks took in my car and checked me back out when it was done. I honestly don't believe that they did everything they were supposed to. On top of all of that a month in the strut started squeaking. I bought the car at the end of June. All of this wasn't resolved until the end of September. Now, it is January and my serpentine belt broke on the way home from work. The tensioner was messed up and needed replacement. It had chewed up the belt. I called on the extended warranty I had purchased. I was told that it covered the car 3 years, 36,000miles and was bumper to bumper. Now I am being told it is only power train that is covered. I called to talk to the finance guy, David, who sold me the policy. Of course he was not at work. I talked to Steve, the Finance Manager who said he would get with Dave and have Dave get back with me. It has been almost a week and nothing. Not to mention the warranty was issued in the wrong name. When I called to make sure they had the right spelling of my name he said he did and noted it in my account but nothing had changed. Maybe I am spoiled, the service and sales team when I bought my last car at Mountain States Toyota was great. This whole situation leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. When I was given a survey after my last visit to the service station there I told them exactly what happened and how I felt. NO ONE followed up with me. Stay away from this dealership! I wished I had! More

We test drove a couple of cars and agreed to purchase a used Saab they had on the lot. We went through my least favorite part of buying a car, sitting down at the table and agreeing on a price and filling out all of the paper work. Yes! We were the excited new owners of a shiny sweet car. Then we see a woman drive off the lot in the car we just agreed to purchase! Apparently the car was also being looked at by one of "the owner's friends", and they let her take it home for the weekend (after we agreed to buy it). We were quite upset and collected our items and left. Our salesman said that they would get back to me the following Monday and let me know what was going on with the car. Have I heard from them a week later? NO. The day after this incident I did get a standard courtesy call from the dealership, when I told him what happened he said "let me look into this and get back to you". Did I ever get a call back? NO. No apologies, no attempts to fix the situation, no response at all. Summarily, this dealership may be fine until there is any kind of a problem. Then they will ignore and alienate you. More

I would NEVER recommend this dealership. When I decided to buy a new vehicle, they ran my credit to approve me for a loan of $11K since I was paying cash for the rest. They told me they could only get me a to buy a new vehicle, they ran my credit to approve me for a loan of $11K since I was paying cash for the rest. They told me they could only get me a 21% interest rate!! When I objected that it was astronomically high, they patronized me and tried to say it was because of my credit rating and they did the best they could. I immediately called my bank and was approved at 2% over the phone for three times the amount I needed. When I brought that to their attention, they continued to blame my credit for their high rate. When I pointed out it was higher than a credit card, they continued to say there was nothing the could do. By that time, I had lost all confidence so I left. I went to Shortline Subaru and got a better car with more features for LESS! They immediately qualified me for an interest rate of 5% and could not figure out how Groove got to 21% since all Subaru dealerships use the same finance company. Oddly, after I left Groove and after I had already bought the new car from Shortline, Groove called me back and magically had reduced my interest rate - did I want to come back? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! More
