I am giving this dealership 2 stars because the manager answered the phone herself and insisted on going to "touch" the car before confirming the availability of the vehicle. She called me back in a timely answered the phone herself and insisted on going to "touch" the car before confirming the availability of the vehicle. She called me back in a timely fashion and confirmed that the car was still on the lot. The car was there when I arrived and they were ready to meet with me. Also because the finance person was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Outside of that, this was an insulting and ridiculous experience. The Sales person was my primary complaint. When I came in, he said, "I know who you are" without asking my name and without introducing himself. He was arrogant and proceeded to talk down to me consistently. I had researched and searched for the vehicle I wanted, so I stuck with the process. The Sales person told me that I was "mature for my age" and when I asked him if he had just told me that I was old for my age, he laughed and said "yeah". I am not young and he is older than I am. He encouraged me to negotiate and said that the worst that could happen was that the manager (the one I spoke with earlier that day) would say no. When I threw out a number, he said, "that's just stupid" and proceeded to tell me that that essentially meant that they would be paying the taxes on the car and they weren't going to do that. "That's just stupid". I decided to purchase the vehicle despite his actions and demeanor, because, as noted, I knew it was the car I wanted and these cars sell quickly. Upon returning to retrieve the car, I was told, "Let's go take a look at the car, I wouldn't want you to get emotional". I was not emotional at any part of the buying process. I was then told how to utilize a number of features on the car, including how to adjust the air conditioner vents. In front of his "floor buddy", a much younger Sales person, I was shown how to adjust air conditioner vents. There were other slights, but I think this establishes the tone of my interaction. Mazda sent me a survey about my experience and I, of course, did not rate them well. I got a call a few days later from the manager. I appreciate it when companies care enough to follow-up if there is a bad survey. The manager lamented my experience and said several times that, this is not how we do business and that she wanted to "make it right". While I appreciate those sentiments, she then told me that negative reviews of Sales people don't hurt the Sales person, but rather the managers. She noted that she had never had any complaints about the Sales person, but if he throws out comments about my age and that I might "get emotional" without pause, this is not an isolated incident. She made it clear that my survey affected her paycheck and asked repeatedly to have me give them a 10, put my comments regarding the Sales person in the comment section and she would help me with some of my vehicle concerns in return. Essentially, "give me a 10 to help my compensation, throw my Sales person under the bus and I'll offer you some help with small blemishes on your car". I realized later, after driving the vehicle for several days, that the "reconditioning" of the car had been done sloppily and there were areas that should have been cleaned with far more care. It would have taken an extra 30-60 minutes to pay attention to these details. This was a big purchase for me, so I also purchased the maintenance package and additional warranty. I was hesitant at first, but got the input of a mechanic, who encouraged me to upgrade the warranty. I will not return to this dealership for any services or for any other reason. I feel that their Finance person was being upfront and realistic when he explained the benefits of the additional coverage and wasn't trying to sell me on things I didn't need. He did not pressure me to finance when I wanted to pay cash. I appreciated a few of the actions taken, but overall, I will NOT recommend this dealership. I have shared my experience with the owner, let's see if he responds. More

I’ve never been so happy about making a transition to Mazda! Reliable engines for a longer experience. If you can, go to Sara Sacks as the salesperson. She made the transition smooth and trustable.
