They took longer than expected. I dropped my car off at 7am and they said it wouldn’t be done until 5:30pm when I was told it would be done by 11am-12noon, which forced me to call o I dropped my car off at 7am and they said it wouldn’t be done until 5:30pm when I was told it would be done by 11am-12noon, which forced me to call out to work because I don’t have any other transportation. The price for the service kept changing starting from $2,600, to $3,000, then $900. At the end I paid $799. I was told my engine light and all other concerning lights were off, but when I got in my car the engine light was still on. Nobody could help me because most service help went home at 4pm. So I came back the following morning and after 3 hours more of work, they discovered it was an oil change required that caused the engine light. Finally all the concerning lights were off. I have had nothing but positive experiences here at Griffin Chevrolet. I was initially in for a check engine light, which was fixed fast and at a much smaller rate than I thought it would. We had a car with a blown engine-completely unrelated to Griffin. We wanted to have a dealer replace it for future warranty purposes. They quoted $7k, we knew it would be expensive. They did the work in abo Griffin. We wanted to have a dealer replace it for future warranty purposes. They quoted $7k, we knew it would be expensive. They did the work in about a week. When we went to pick it up they walked us to another room and told us they misquoted, it would actually be over $10k! We argued and eventually they "went to see the manager and would honor the original quote". Along the way they made a comment about "already not making any commission on this" -wait what? Your service dept desk works on commission??? Sounds like a great way to over spec repairs. Couldn't be done with them fast enough. More
