Oil leak not found during oil change I brought my car in on a Saturday for an oil change as well as some other work (transmission flush and a broken seat panel). They were able to do the I brought my car in on a Saturday for an oil change as well as some other work (transmission flush and a broken seat panel). They were able to do the oil change but the other two items would require me to bring the car back on the following Monday and leave it. The oil change was completed and I took the car home. Monday I dropped it off for the rest of the work. On Tuesday I received a call that they found an oil leak under the car and probably had been leaking for sometime. It was repairable and covered under warranty. Now why was the oil leak NOT found during the oil change a few days before???? Are they not supposed to perform an inspection of the car as part of the service??? The service advisor who was handling the rest of my service when I brought the car back showed me photos of the leak which was easy to spot. This is a clear sign of either laziness on the part of the tech who did the oil change or just incompetence. More
