Took my car in for service, paid for oil change and tire rotation. There was a nail in one tire, it did not move when the car was returned to me. No tire pressure listed and no tires rotated. Very Bad Experience. Will never return to Gregg Young of Columbus. The finance person we had to deal with is incompetent at best. Tried to have us sign a contract with price printed over $1000 of agreed upon price. Attempted a bait and switch a couple of times also. We bought a brand new 2024 Toyota. You would think that when a customer spends that kind of money, they could at least expect a competent finance person to deal with. I found out 3 weeks later this incompetent finance person screwed up our loan papers with the finance company. Then a few days after that I found out in addition to this, he never had us sign the actual credit application. This has delayed us getting the paperwork needed to register and license the car before the in-transits expire. The Sales manager at Gregg Young made the excuse that this finance person is young, inexperienced and needs more training. Again, why did they assign him to someone spending a substantial amount on a brand new car? I can't even begin to quantify the amount of stress and anxiety that my experience with this dealership has caused. My advice is shop somewhere else, you will be much happier. More

We knew we wanted to trade our BMW for a Toyota and I had been looking for several months. Finally found a 4RUNNER that fit what we were looking for at Gregg Young Toyota in Columbus, NE. Things started out ok until we went for our “test drive.” We had gone no further than about two miles outside the city limits of Columbus when the salesman said we should probably turn back. The wife had been driving and pulled off to turn around. I got to drive the 3 plus miles back to the dealership. Pretty tough to rate any vehicle on such a short trip. The wife immediately said it wouldn’t work for her because she had a tough time getting in and out. Running boards would probably fixed that. So we decided to look at the RAV4. Without any investigation into ratings or available options we got to test two different units around the parking lot. The initial offer on our trade was for a rough trade. We never did get the offer we needed..the Sales Manager “sweetened” the deal by offering the same deal that Corporate was offering. 4,75% interest & $1000 off. I didn’t find out until later that was the Toyota offer. We came back the next day to drive further and possibly look at higher options. We did go out again for about 2 miles and back. The original sales person was called away for a family illness so we were introduced to a second salesman. We asked several times about different vehicles to drive but never got the opportunity. We made basically a blind choice of the EXL HYBRID. In its own right, it’s a nice car, however because our test drives were cut short, we didn’t realize that only the driver’s seat was power adjustable. The wife made the statement that the passenger seat seemed awfully short front to back and by the time we returned 60+ miles to home she was awfully uncomfortable. We also found out there was no remote garage door opener. We asked both the sales manager and the salesman if there was anything they could do to rectify or at least help us out. The sales manager said only a few select units had those options the salesman said he would check with the manager to see if we had any other options and call us back. That was last week & we have yet to hear anything. Although it has been many years since I have been able to purchase a new car those sales people and dealerships went out of there way to make certain we were happy and satisfied with our purchase. Our RAV4 is a decent car and I’m sure we’ll get many carefree miles from it but I won’t be back to Gregg Young Toyota, nor will I refer any friends or family. My response will be either shop in Grand Island or make the trip to Lincoln or Omaha. More

Shop around… they offered me over 20% less for my trade than other dealers. That’s a huge amount. Financing that they offered wasn’t competitive either. They were fair, transparent, and straight-forward. Both Mike Backstrom (the sales manager) and Steve McClelland (my sales consultant) were extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and great to work with. They gave me a great price for my trade-in and even gave me my Pro at MSRP. While they did present me with some add-ons, I didn't feel obligated or pressured to buy, which I greatly appreciated. Ernst Auto Group is, without question, the best experience I've ever had at a dealership. You've earned a customer for life! More
