I came in to get a faulty airbag replaced and an oil change. The dealership ended up calling me and telling me I needed my timing belt, rear diff, and about 10 other things replaced. My car is at 212k m change. The dealership ended up calling me and telling me I needed my timing belt, rear diff, and about 10 other things replaced. My car is at 212k miles and all the things they listed were things you are supposed to have replaced at 200k miles. I had however already had all of these things taken care of two months ago. They clearly did not check anything that they quoted me for because it is all brand new. If I were ignorant they would have charged me 4,000 dollars to fix what they called, emergency repairs. When I talked on the phone they insisted my car was not drivable. When I asked if they had even looked at my timing belt the guy on the phone didn’t answer. I felt like they were trying to scam me.
