When I was ready to purchase again, I came to Orlando Hyundai and have been completely pleased with all aspects of the dealership! On this my 3rd dealing with Orlando Hyundai, I was fortunate enough to deal with a salesperson that is far superior to any sales person I have worked with in my lifetime of car buying; 20 vehicles since I was 18 years old! Most frustrating 4 hours I've spent in a long, long time. I came to the dealership to trade my leased car for the new model. The advertisement online gave a $5000.00 discount for new Sonatas. The monthly le I came to the dealership to trade my leased car for the new model. The advertisement online gave a $5000.00 discount for new Sonatas. The monthly least price was listed as $139.00 (plus taxes, tag and title). I tell them what I want, they bring back a quote more than $100.00 more that I requested, plus $3500.00 down!!! Now I am in shock. I was totally prepared for this visit. I had my facts and figures. Instead of addressing my questions, they indicated that I didn't understand the process, and brought in someone to explain it to me. I am a former director of finance for Marriott. I think I understand a leasing agreement. I asked about the fees, and they couldn't explain them, just that they were Hyundai fees and they couldn't do anything about them. When we finally reached an agreement, they quoted me a monthly payment amount and made me sign that I would accept the deal if they could match that payment amount. . It was after lunch time by that time , so I asked if we could go to lunch while they were getting the information to Finance and detailing the car. They said "my paperwork will only take 5 minutes or so, and we are sending the car for detailing right now". So we agreed to wait. One hour and 15 minutes later, we were called in to finance. When the final paperwork was presented to me to sign, guess what??? The agreed to payment was not the payment on the paperwork. It was only $3.00 off - in Hyundai's favor of course - but by that time it was the final straw. The finance guy said "I can't control what the system calculates as the payment amount". When we walked out the door with the sales person, I told him that the payment he quoted was not matched. He said "Did they explain it to you"" I said, that is not the point. You guaranteed this amount. He said, and I am not kidding "Well, I can't control what goes on once you go to Finance" Talk about passing the buck. Finally, I went back to Hyundai because I loved my old car and I wanted another one. It was my favorite car every. But, why did the purposely mislead on the advertising. I have been watching other car ads and they are quoting the lease amount with the taxes, tag, and title included. I will not return to this dealership. What a bunch of liars. More
