Everytime Cliff went in the back room to get a figure he would never return with any paperwork, as if the manager and cliff were hiding something. Cliff Wilson is a super salesman who made me feel very comfortable. I wish all car salesmen were like him! First, the technician tried to get me to pay close to $300 for additional services which I did not want and which were not covered under the extended maintenance warranty I purchased. I DO NOT THINK THIS WAS RIGHT! In addition, when I got there I asked if my car could be washed and I was assured it would be. However, when the technician came into the customer lounge to get me after my oil change, I walked outside to find a dirty car -- in fact, there was a greasy handprint on one of the doors. I aksed why it hadn't been washed and was told that someone forgot to write it down. I asked how long I would have to wait to have it done and was told there were two other cars ahead of me to be washed. I am very upset that my car wasn't washed, especially since a service technician came into the lounge while I was in waiting and asked another customer if she wanted her car washed! If I had to recommend Orlando Hyundai based on their service department, I would never do it. However, Cliff Wilson is a shining star in the sales department. I'm glad that I bought my car from him! In the meantime, I'm dreading my next routine service appointment and may have to find another dealership to have it done. The technician who "helped" me seemed like a very uncaring individual! More
I never even set foot on the lot. I was handling all negotiations online by email with Kevin and then when he was slow in replying started chatting online with Joel. Their quotes didn't match and they both gave me erroneous information about the cars. Neither could understand that I wanted a particular color and package. Both tried to sell me on a different color and package regardless of how many times I told them exactly what I wanted. I was treated like an idiot. The final negotiated price was the best I saw but then they kept changing the color. It was very frustrating. I went to a different dealership and got exactly what I wanted for only a tiny bit more. I purchased a used car on May 20 and was sold an extended warranty contract at that time for $1,987. Per the terms and conditions, I excercised my right to cancel the contract on June 4, 2012 and signed doc warranty contract at that time for $1,987. Per the terms and conditions, I excercised my right to cancel the contract on June 4, 2012 and signed documents indicating my decision to end the extended warranty contract for a full refund. To date, July 3, 2012, I have not received my refund. I contacted the extended warranty third party adminstrator who indicated that Orlando Hyundai had not executed the cancellation and is now "kiting" my money. Of similar importance and a true testament of the ethics practice by Rick Compton and his team, I have been leaving voicemail and email messages for someone at Orlando Hyundai to contact me regarding this issue. However this has been to no avail as I have not received a response to any inquiry. With the ongoing ploy to get me to offer my commnets at online sites about my experience at Orlando Hyundai and the risk of a detailed description of my treatment to date and the negative interet reputation, one would expect a different response. There are other Hyndai Dealers in town that are closer to my office and more convenient to use, yet I have until now chosen to give my business to Orlando Hyundai. In my delimma of the Engine light and the ESC Off appearingon my dash on 06/24/12, I was first referred to a Crystal River Kia Dealer as I was visitingmy son and his family in that area. The Kia mechanic could not get their computer to "read" any problem but he diagnosed the "brake light switch" to be out and advised me to go to the closest Hundai Dealership. They were all very kind and furnished me with a list to include Dealeres in Newport Richey, Ocala and Orlando, all of similar distances from Crystal River. On my call to Orlando Hundai, the receptionist immediatly connected me to Darryl. After explaining my plight, he responded with "Can you make it here by 2:30pm?" I was sure I could and hit the road to arrive approximately at 1:15pm. I was warmly greeted by Allyn, who in merely minutes, had recorded my problem and gave me an estimate on the "brake light switch" repair. As the afternoon wore on, Darryl appeared to report he had fixed the "brake light switch" but the Air Flow Meter problem had been detected during his computer analysis as well as the right front headlamp out. After my giving approval to do the necessary repairs, my daughter shared that Orlando Hundai had a 10% coupon on line to apply to parts and accessories. On talking with Alicia (most cordial and helpful); she checked with Darryl to see if the Coupon could apply. He was glad to make the adjustment in the total bill. I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience with these employees as well as the general friendly atmosphere. Highly reccommend this Dealership!!! Thank you, Pat Novy More
