This has been the most difficult vehicle purchase I have every made that haunted me for the good part of a year. I purchased a 2012 Ford Raptor from the dealer in Chicago. I arrived in person to drive the car back to Denver. The ad indicated a perfect condition vehicle, without any scratches or dings. The truck had a ding on the tail gate, they agreed to have it fixed when I got home. I started the journey and within 3 hours my check engine light came on so I drove all the way back. They said their "equipment" couldn't actually indicate what the problem was, so they wrote a letter saying they would take care of any and all costs associated with the failure if I had a catastrophe on the way home (they also gave me $175 for the inconvenience). The truck had a factory warranty so I'm sure this is what they were banking on. I got to Denver, put the truck in the shop and turns out the o2 sensors were improperly wired from the factory; this is something that Greater Chicago Motors didn't do or know so I didn't hold it against them. After I got it back, I opened my tono cover to come to find a hidden scratch the length of the truck bed, well I didn't check before leaving so I held my self at fault. Now for me reasoning for 1 star. GCM improperly filled out and sent my paperwork to the DMV three times which required me to continuously renew a temp tag for 4 months; they also overcharged me 2K for taxes. They improperly filled out my warranty information as well and I went back and forth with them, and the warranty company for 3 months to get the problem taken care of (they kept blaming it on the warranty company when it was clearly their doings, they were happy to shed their responsibilities and move slower then molasses). I finally thought my troubles were over until I received a call from Sirius Radio three weeks ago. They said my free 3 month factory subscription is almost over and to renew. The problem is, GCM didn't submit my paperwork to Sirius until I had already had the truck for 7 months; I had no Idea I had Sirius during this time at all until they called. I was able to enjoy the satellite radio for 2 weeks on my "free" subscription then had to pay for it (which I was happy to do). They are fast talking silver tonged devils that are greedy for your money, and provide the most deplorable customer service for the highest priced vehicles. You would think that after you spend 60K+ for one of their vehicles they would bend over backwards for you, the truth is, you are the only one who will be doing the bending. I will never seek them out again for any high dollar vehicle purchase even though they did have a magnificent collection. Pay close attention to your paperwork as they have no Idea how to properly fill it out. Lastly, Maciej is a nice guy who was the salesmen for the transaction. Both were professional and attentive to my needs. The paperwork transactions were handled properly and in a timely manner and my Audi Q5 arrived as pictured and described. Maciej responded to my email within 20 minutes of sending over an interest by phone. We were able to communicate between each other over email until we came up with a great deal. Once an agreement was met I scheduled a flight, and Maciej personaly picked me up from the airport, and even brought me a grat cup of coffee. The conversation back to the dealer was very friendly and relaxed. This was not a hard sell. It was easy to see that he emjoyed working for this dealer. Upon arrival at the dealer, the location, and the warehouse are impressive. It gave a great city high end experience. If I wouldn't have purchased this car, there were easily 10 - 20 more amazing choices at this location. It was like going to a car show. I financed the vehicle, and the process was flawless. Paperwork was done without hassle, and it tok less than 20 minutes to get everything completed. We parted wasy, they handed me the keys and I was off with a new vehicle(to me). I have allready recommended this dealership and Maciej to my friends. I am certain I'll look her first in the future. More
