If I could give this business negative stars, I would. Their customer service is horrible, and they refuse to give me the legal documents needed to make my car legal on the road. I'm from out of state as well, and they took advantage of the situation to make me finance through their business. I was able to refinance through my bank within that week, and they still have refused to give me my warranty refund of THOUSANDS of dollars 45 days later and counting. Very unprofessional, and I will be contacting the BBB. Do NOT purchase a vehicle from here. More

Took me awhile to decide to write this but decided I needed to. Last July I was on my way to a dealer in Akron to buy a used K5, when I got a call from Bambi that they had a new K5 and could get me in needed to. Last July I was on my way to a dealer in Akron to buy a used K5, when I got a call from Bambi that they had a new K5 and could get me in my payment range. I said "are you sure, because I dont want to lose this other vehicle if you cant and she guaranteed me her manager was saying yes, come get this new K5, so I turned around and went there. After a 3 hour drive there and an hour wait I did my financing and was suprised I got as good of a rate as I did and was financed through Kia. I signed my papers and gave them my check and drove away in my first ever brand new car at age 54!! I was so excited! Then 4 WEEKS later on a Sunday, I get a call from Mitch saying I need to pay $5000 more plus have a higher rate to keep my car. He stated that Kia refused the deal and this is what I needed to do to keep my car. He also stated he had several calls like this he was making. II was shocked to say the least, I thought I already bought my car! I had it for 4 weeks!!! At first I didnt believe this was even legal. Not too mention, they also continued to run my credit without me even knowing which in return dropped my credit tremendously. So when it came down to having to go finance another car, I had super high intrest rates. They call this a SPOT DELIVERY. That means you bought the car under the CONDITION/ASSUMPTION that your financing will go through, which most financing already knows when they see all your information. From what I am told, they knew about Kia not being willing to finance my original deal the day after I bought it, but they were all too afraid to contact me since they did after all guarantee me my deal before I turned around to come there. Oh, and lets not forget that when I contacted my insurance company to change the insurance, the original papers I signed were not even on my 2024 they were done on a 2023! So they had to send me all new correct paperwork to sign. To say the least neither time I signed papers was I ever told I was signing a SPOT DELIVERY or what it even was, because trust me, both my friend and I would have asked what that was!! So, in my opinion, GO ELSEWHERE TO BUY. If you do come here, make sure you SEE ALL your paperwork, dont just listen to what they tell you that you are signing. I had NO CLUE I was signing that spot delivery paper. If they would have told me I NEVER would have bought the car until the deal was real. That is is the problem! They bank on hoping you fall in love with your car so you will find a way to keep it. When I asked other dealerships about spot delivery, most told me they dont do it, its just plain BAD BUSINESS unless they are 99% sure the deal will go through. It is legal and there are some people that have won lawsuits, but its not worth the hassle. Just dont sign the SPOT DELIVERY or walk away! I will say Mitch was helpful. He forgot to send my check back with the drivers that came to pick up my car (yes, I made them come get it), so he personally drove it down to me (2 hour drive). He also was the ONLY person that apologized to me and he did give me some advise I took with me when I went to the original place I had planned to go to buy the K5 I have now. I would NEVER use Bambi as a sales person (she knew about the spot delivery and was too cowardly to call me too, plus her manager I think Bart, not 100% that is his name). At the time of the sale, I was completely satisfied with the process, but that turned to heartbreak and so much stress!!! This was just bad business from the start and they should be ashamed!!! From what I am told, I am not the only person this happened to, there were several!! More

She was very friendly and wanted to make sure she, "put eyes on" the vehicle before we came. She confirmed it was there and when we arrived, we were greeted by Tom. He is one of The best sales associates I have ever dealt with. He made us feel like we were just checking out a car out with a friend. He showed us the Carfax, took us for a thorough test drive, and answered all of our questions. He was upfront about everything, didn't try to pressure or upsell us in any way, and made the whole process very easy. We finalized the financing paperwork with Jasmin. She was efficient, professional, and her tireless efforts are much appreciated. She definitely deserves a raise! I would highly recommend Great Lakes Kia to anyone in the market for a new car and a great team of people to work with from beginning to the end. More
