I bought a used 2000 Toyota Camry from this dealership in 2002 or 2003. I specifically told them I did not want a vehicle owned by a smoker because of allergies. They hid the all the burn holes in the upholstery with some material that lasted about two weeks and their air freshener dissipated around that time also. I was furious. They did not repair the seats; basically I was stuck once I signed the contract. Recently I was shopping for a RAV4; this same dealership had a few vehicles I was interested in. I thought maybe things have changed, but just to be sure I told them about my previous experience. They assured me they would take care of me. The internet sales person, Jena told me they had a special $139.00 per month with $3,000.00 down with .000l financing. They also had a $250 rebate offered. I test drove two vehicles then chose a vehicle I liked. The sales person gave me a payment sheet. The $25,100 vehicle was now $25,424 on sale for $23,000. They raised the price of the vehicle, left out the rebate, gave me no trade in value, and added a dealer handling fee of $369.00. They lied about paying off my leased vehicle which could of cost me thousands once the deal was finalized. When I questioned their figures the Gerry said the finance person made a mistake and he would be back with a corrected payment sheet. A half hour later, he was sitting across from the finance manager with legs crossed laughing. I told Gerry I had another appointment and he smiled and said where? I told him it was none of his business. I was furious. I wasted over three hours of my time only to find out the whole thing was a scam to get people in. That pricing was for college students and/or soldiers. Don't believe what they say: Since 1924, we have been striving to give our customers the best sales experience possible. More
I was completely satisfied with both their professionalism and friendliness towards me. Their eagerness to work with me as a customer was outstanding but not overbearing at all. What I appreciated the most was the level of comfort offered to me throughout this process. In no way did I feel pressured or manipulated, as I often do with car salesmen. Additionally, everybody here was extremely respectful and polite, more qualities not commonly attributed to car salesmen. I never felt uncomfortable with the men here, instead they opened doors for me and treated me with great respect. Overall, because of these reasons alone - all of which have nothing to do with car that I bought, which is equally awesome - I would drive the 1.5hrs to go back to Grappone, and I would definitely refer them to everybody I know. Our purchase started on the internet with a program our insurance company offers. We contacted three dealerships and Grappone was the only one who followed through on the pricing we received through the i insurance company offers. We contacted three dealerships and Grappone was the only one who followed through on the pricing we received through the insurance company. They did not try to add any fees [they are not allowed to if they participate in the insurance program]. In the end, we wound up paying more than $2,000.00 less for the Tacoma we purchased over what the other two dealerships offered. It was a pleasure dealing with people who are straightforward and don't play games. I have NEVER had a car buying experience to match the one we had at Grappone. I would recommend them highly to anyone. More
