Ryerson was my ' Shout out to Justin and Ryerson! Justin works internet sales and answered all my questions, a consummate professional all the way. Ryerson was my 'in person' sales guy. Good sense of humor knew his stuff and didn't attempt a hard sell. I was in the showroom for about an hour. Did I get the best deal ever? I don't think so, what clenched it for me is the car was within my budget. Neither played those adolescent car salesman games that I complain about below. Good job guys! The below DOES NOT apply to Grappone - is specifically to the top brass at Toyota of North America: I dealt with approximately 15 Toyota sales people throughout New England in the past month. Dealing with your sales staff is like a wild out of control carnival ride - bumpy and unpredictable. 40 years I've been buying cars and many at Toyota still employ the same old worn out tactics. You really need to retrain a majority of your sales staff. Few know how to sell and some of the managers were worse. "Let's set up a test drive" seems to be the overall lure. If you can't answer my questions via e-mail do you think I'm going to waste my time with a test drive? 'Slimy' and 'liar' are good adjectives. I caught one being dishonest, I pointed it out her and she didn't have the decency to apologize. 1. Don't treat customers like we're stupid, 2. I have specific wants, listen to me!, 3. Answer my questions honestly. Advice to the general public if you are buying a car; 1. Be wary of filling out the dealer website questionnaire (so a salesman can contact you). They're looking for your phone number and some will call you endlessly. Grappone did not do this. Many others wouldn't give up. 2. Research the dealership, what is their reputation? 3. Remember dealerships sell many cars - they're the experts so do your research. I found Youtube had the best advice and web services like True Car were a waste of time. 4. Keep detailed notes. Who you talked with, the date, and stock number of the car you talked about. 5. Do your best to find out what the dealership paid for the car and negotiate from there. MSRP stands for Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price, the key word here is Suggested. 6. Be an educated consumer. If you know what you are talking about you can spot the games right away. 7. Beware the dealership still needs to make a profit, if you are unreasonable you'll never buy anything. 8. Toyota makes a better product and they know it. More
EXCELLENT Experience While considering the purchase of a new car, my wife and I did extensive research, both on line and in person, visiting various dealerships and meetin While considering the purchase of a new car, my wife and I did extensive research, both on line and in person, visiting various dealerships and meeting with a variety of sales people. We became interested in a couple Toyota models, which brought us to Grappone Toyota in Concord NH to check out the vehicles in person. Walking into the friendly atmosphere of the showroom, we were greeted be a very nice salesperson who identified himself as Joe Hardy. Once we told him what we were interested in for a vehicle, he went outside (on a very cold, windy day) to show us what they had in stock and eventually retrieved the keys to vehicles so we could see the interiors and allowed us to take them for test drives. We were able to narrow our search down to the Toyota Avalon Limited – Hybrid, but they did not have that vehicle with our preferences of trim and color in stock. The Team Leader, Mickey Breau (another very friendly and helpful associate) got involved and was able to locate the exact vehicle we wanted at a dealership in New York. After just a small, refundable deposit (with no obligation to buy), they sent an associate to New York and retrieved the vehicle at no extra charge. Within a few days, the vehicle arrived at the dealership in Concord, it was exactly as described and we made the purchase. I knew before arriving at the Grappone dealership that they have a policy of “up front pricing” that provides you with the exact price you will be paying for a vehicle and what they will give you for a trade-in (or buy your old car out right) if you choose. This allows for no hassles and no negotiations. Throughout the entire process, I cannot say enough good about the way we were treated and especially Product Specialist - Joe Hardy! At no time did we feel pressured, he answered all of our questions (accurately), plus his knowledge and polite, friendly manner made us feel comfortable and as if were being treated like “family”. I have purchased several vehicles in my lifetime, and I must say that this time Grappone Toyota (and especially Joe Hardy) made this the most pleasurable and positive experience I can remember. If you are in the market for a new Toyota (or used vehicle) I would definitely recommend this dealership and I would also suggest you stop in and see “Joe”. More

Is less than one star possible? My husband and I leased a 2015 RAV4 and were told any mileage under the 36,000 we would receive credit for as an "asset" in the vehicle. I am 3,500 mi My husband and I leased a 2015 RAV4 and were told any mileage under the 36,000 we would receive credit for as an "asset" in the vehicle. I am 3,500 miles under and now they wont honor it. Then we were told (in 2015) that we had maintenance for the "life of our lease". So, imagine my surprise the last time I brought it for routine service and it cost almost $180.00. Then, I was STILL willing to give them another shot. I was going to lease a 2018 and my mother was going to pay CASH to purchase my 2015 lease. The dealership quotes me approximately $313/mo. That was until they kept changing the price of my lease buyout for my mother and she pulled out of the deal. Then the payment became $540/mo. That's right, a price difference of $233/mo. Not impressed Toyota. The dealership told me it was "Toyota Financial" that decided that and to call them. So I did, only to have Toyota Financial tell me they "Only discuss new deals with dealerships, not individuals." xxx Grappone?? Too many lies. More
