Very poor service. Service Managers make a point to not make eye contact when you enter the drive. Customers must search out managers to be serviced. Internet Sales proved untrustworthy! Typical game playing by Gavin Ard despite my immediately stating that I was definitely going to buy an F150 Limited '22 model and that I was definitely going to shop arou by Gavin Ard despite my immediately stating that I was definitely going to buy an F150 Limited '22 model and that I was definitely going to shop around so let's not play any games and give me your best offer. He agreed. At the end of the whole process of customizing my truck preferences which then produced the MSRP of roughly $82,000 he then told me that I would have to pay an extra $10,000 on top of that for it. Additionally, I was going to trade my F150 '18 Platinum for which Ford Motor company's own trade-in value offer was between $41,000-$48,000, and I had the printout of their offer with me. Gavin only offered $38,000. I then showed him Ford's offer and he quickly offered only $40,000. I told him that that was unacceptable and that I also was not going to pay an extra $10,000 for the new F150. He then asked me what extra amount I would be willing pay, to which I replied that I said I wasn't going to answer that question and play his game and that he should tell me what they would offer. He immediately lowered it from an extra $10,000 to now "only" $8,000. The whole point of this commentary is to show that despite my saying up front let's not play games and to give me his very best offer because I was going to shop around he totally ignored that by underpricing the value of my trade-in and overpricing the cost of my intended new truck. In other words, he was deceptive, dishonest, and unprofessional. Then of course the internet sales manager, Cameron, predictably came out and asked if I was pleased with the process that Gavin had put me through. What a predictable routine and a joke. They completely lost my trust, and forever lost my business including servicing. I ended up buying my F150 Limited '22 model at Five Star Ford for the exact MSRP (meaning absolutely no markup) and they offered me $43,500 for my F150 Platinum '18 model. This equates to Gavin Ard at Grapevine Ford's "best" offer starting out being $15,500 over Five Star Ford's offer, but reducing it to "only" $11,500 more after I rejected his initial offer. Again, he played the typical game and it cost him and the Grapevine dealership my business. I also went to Westway Ford to price compare and they were better than Grapevine Ford, but Five Star Ford was straight up, no games, no extra money, and I did order my F150 Limited '22 model from them on the spot. That kind of honesty, integrity and professionalism, along with no game playing from Five Star Ford has earned them my ongoing business as well as positive recommendation to friends and family. You can imagine what negative recommendation I will provide them about Grapevine Ford. More
Grapevine Ford Lincoln was great! Jonathan, our salesperson, was just the best. His in depth knowledge of the different vehicles we considered was astounding.
