BEWARE THE 2nd KEY CON Purchased a used car from Grapevine Ford and all went well until after the purchase price was agreed to. When the paperwork arrived I was surprised to see $1k+ in additional Grapevine Ford and all went well until after the purchase price was agreed to. When the paperwork arrived I was surprised to see $1k+ in additional fees for LoJack and a replacement 2nd key. LoJack is what it is so I could only negotiate the cost down as it was already installed, a fact not divulged during the original negotiations. I questioned the lack of the 2nd key and was told they only received one when the car was traded in, so I agreed to pay for a new one to be made. After getting the car home I located an old service receipt including the original owner’s info. Upon contacting that person about potentially obtaining the missing 2nd key, they confirmed to whom both keys were given in great detail. Dealership maintains they received only one key. I ask you, does the former owner have anything to gain by lying about the key? At the very least dealer personnel lost the 2nd key and I’m left paying for their mistake. More likely this is a con job to sell highly profitable extras to increase the overall profit margin on used vehicle sales. I won’t be going back to Grapevine Ford-Mercury for anything in the future. Both were willing to negotiate and work with me to get to a payment I can manage. Both were professional and great to work with in what can usually be a miserable experience. Love my new Bronco. I see fun adventures ahead! More

Towed the car to Grapevine Ford - I am not sure why I did that. where it sat for one month. How in the world a brand new clutch can fail in 27,000 miles is a mystery to me. The mechanic who repaired my clutch echoed that sentiment and agreed that there is no way this can fail and he would be submitting paperwork to claim the repair and have it done correctly. This was of course denied by someone. - so here i sit with a $3400 bill for a clutch recall that was never repaired - and failed as indicated in the recall notice -- but I have to pay $3400. Either Ford makes some trash parts or my recall wasnt done in 2019. I am going to go with the latter. Why anyone does business with Grapevine Ford is beyond me, More

Everything went smoothly and quickly if they would have negotiated I probably would have bought the bronco on the showroom floor. But all in all a great deal on a highly desirable vehicle. They told us the vehicle was out on loan and we could purchase it when it was returned. We called twice a day for 6 days. They sold it to someone else without contacting us. They don't care about people. They also mark cars up 20k over sticker to screw folks during this chip shortage. Avoid at all costs. More
