The night before, I was out, and all of a sudden, my wife and I, could smell the coolant. I made it home, keeping a close eye on the temperature gauge. Saturday morning, I took a chance, and drove to Grand Subaru (about 6 miles), once again keeping a close eye the temperature gauge. I saw Anthony in the service department, and he asked if I wanted to wait, or leave the vehicle ? I said I'd leave it, as long as I could get a loaner. He said there was nothing available, because every loaner, was already reserved. So, Anthony suggested that I wait, because maybe, it might be a quick fix. So, while I was waiting, I went to see Sandy. I was telling her about my situation, and she said, "don't worry, if you have to leave your car, we will get you a car" ! I waited about 2 hours, when they found, that the radiator, did have a small leak. So, as promised, they rented a car for me, from Enterprise. I've never had to deal with an issue, such as this, but I thank Sandy for coming thru for me !! I do, highly recommend, Sandy, and Grand Subaru, if anyone is thinking of buying a Subaru !!! More
Terrible Customer Service Purchased a brand new 2015 Outback in August. When it came time for 12,000 mile service, we called and left a message with no one returning our call. Purchased a brand new 2015 Outback in August. When it came time for 12,000 mile service, we called and left a message with no one returning our call. Today (May 16, 2016) the car will not start and we are having it towed and Grand Subaru said they don't know when they can get to it. This will be my last interaction with Grand Subaru and will never recommend them to anyone purchasing a vehicle. More
Simple help My new car's clock was running slow and I couldn't find a way to correct it. I could get to a clock but it would only let me choose digital or analog My new car's clock was running slow and I couldn't find a way to correct it. I could get to a clock but it would only let me choose digital or analog and only change the hour. very frustrating. I called service, they just said to bring it in. another time I called and got a hold of one of the sales persons- Sandy [not my salesman, he wasn't in that day] since I knew she had experience setting up new cars for customers like Mason did mine, I hoped she could help me. she walked me thru the steps as I sat in my car. It's reached thru the DATE option, not the CLOCK option. WOW. my time is now set- 2 minutes fast, thanks to Sandy More
Nickle & dime me? Bought a brand new Outback last summer and was very happy initially. Got the color and options I wanted at a great price. About a month later a screw Bought a brand new Outback last summer and was very happy initially. Got the color and options I wanted at a great price. About a month later a screw punctured one of the tires and it had to be replaced. I was disappointed to find that this wasn't covered by the extended warranty that was supposed to, "cover everything" for ten years. Recently, I brought the car in for it's first tire rotation and they want to charge me $29.95. I'll take the car to Just Tires or NTB where they'll rotate my tires for no charge and I'll reward them with my business when the car needs new tires. What a disappointment you turned out to be Grand Subaru. More

Maintenance Service not thoroughly performed After haggling over the $600 price and requesting honorship of a competitor dealer's coupon, I recently brought in my Subaru for a 60,000 mile mainten After haggling over the $600 price and requesting honorship of a competitor dealer's coupon, I recently brought in my Subaru for a 60,000 mile maintenance service. This maintenance service includes changing of several engine fluids (brakes, coolant, etc) and/or topping them off; as well as replacement of spark plugs among others. I knew it had to be done by the dealership because it's a major service in my mind. Although mechanically challenged, I've seen some of the fluid containers from opening the engine hood from time to time. I know that these containers have minimum and maximum markers so I was surprised and disappointed when i checked the car upon driving it back home. The coolant and steering fluids where nowhere near the maximum marks. Worse, the steering fluid was only slightly above the minimum level for a cold engine. Even the inexpensive window washer fluid wasn't topped off. I immediately called back the service guy and sent him pictures of what i saw through text messaging. He said the coolant should not really be topped off to the maximum level but agreed that the steering fluid seemed low and was unacceptable. Because it was late in the day, he was going to call me back the following day to schedule a technician who can visit me at home to top off the fluids. I didn't get a call back so i had to call the service manager and complain. While my complaints were eventually resolved and the coolant, steering and window washer fluids are now at their maximum levels, I can't help but wonder if the services I paid for were truly performed. Trust is hard to regain once broken. Customers beware! More

BEWARE of the service department at Grand Subaru dealership!! I brought my car is for service 2 weeks after I bought it, and this is what I dealt with. For starters, the loaner vehicle i was gi dealership!! I brought my car is for service 2 weeks after I bought it, and this is what I dealt with. For starters, the loaner vehicle i was given smelled terrible. Most of the interior had dirt on it, and there was no air freshener in the car. Also, there was only a half tank of gas when i got the loaner, but the paperwork told me i needed to fill the tank all the way to full when i was done. Makes no sense. Also, the loaner was not equipped with an i-pass, and no one at the dealership told me. I had to get in the car and realize that there was no ipass, then I asked the people at the dealership, and they told me I had to just take the one out of my vehicle. I was OK with using my own, but I wish someone at the dealership had at least let me know. When I went to pick the car after service, i had a few issues: 1. There were chunks of debris on the outside of the car, and big smudges on the windshield. My car had obviously not been washed after service, and there was no explanation as to how the debris got on the vehicle. 2. I had to request that my car be washed. I thought there was a complimentary wash whenever service was done to the vehicle. Especially if body service had been done. 3. There was a suspiciously high amount of miles put on my car when I picked it up. I left the vehicle there with approx 480 miles on it, and when I picked the vehicle up, it had over 520 miles on the ODO. The service mgr. told me that they drove the vehicle to the body shop and back twice. That body shop was less than two miles away. Even with the mileage he said the vehicle had when I dropped it off, the couple trips to and from the body shop did not add up. Very bad practice. My avg. MPG had gone down considerably, which leads me to believe that the vehicle was driven very hard. VERY bad practice. 4. The invoice that I received in the mail also did NOT list mileage that was on the vehicle when I dropped it off. Only the mileage that was on the ODO when service was completed. Another poor practice, and another reason for me to believe someone took my car joy riding. 5. The interior of my vehicle was dirty when I picked it up. I understand that the service guys may have dirty clothing, but they cannot leave dust and dirt inside of customer cars. My passenger side seat heater had been somehow switched on, and was left on when I picked up the vehicle. All of this lead to my overall dissatisfaction with the service, and the service department at Grand Subaru. My issue still has not been resolved as the Manager, Rich Drouin, has completely stopped replying to my e-mails asking for this disservice to be explained. WARNING- DON'T BRING YOUR CAR TO GRAND SUBARU!! More
