This is my second Subaru I bought from this dealership. I was gone maybe 4 hours. When I did another search, I found the exact car with the same options at Woody's Grand Subaru (at the time). I went in there with my Autobarn Evanston quote and they beat it by $500 in 4 minutes of walking through the door. No test drive, no nothing just get the paperwork ready! Fast forward to March 2012, I have been kicking around the idea of buying another Subaru for a long time, and Ryan remembered me back from 2005. I shopped around and got a great price from Autobarn Countryside, once again. I was having issues with my trade, while looking for a replacement, Jennings Volkswagen quoted me about 3k less than Rousch VW. That and I wanted a bigger car that the Jetta was and the Passat was more than I wanted to pay (over 24k). I went over and told Ryan where I wanted to be after trade and what I have been quoted for my trade at various dealerships (there was a 3k difference out there!). Like last time, the deal took about 3 minutes, with him beating Autobarn's trade-in offer and beating their price by $1000 WITHOUT me even disclosing the price that Autobarn quoted me. Also, their service department is really good. They still have the same 'kid' there from when I bought my Outback in 2005 (he's 26 now..). I told Ryan a long time ago that he made a customer for life out of me. If I didn't have a love for Jeep Wranglers, all my cars would be a Subaru. I cannot speak for the rest of the sales staff, but Ryan is a good manager. More
My husband passed away suddenly leaving me with his brand new Acura MDX (Too big) and my Lexus IS 250 (Too small). I needed a vehicle that was large enough to haul passengers and cargo, but small enough for new Acura MDX (Too big) and my Lexus IS 250 (Too small). I needed a vehicle that was large enough to haul passengers and cargo, but small enough for me to see over the dashboard and reach the brakes at the same time. I am 5'0 tall and have trouble finding a comfortable vehicle. The Subaru Outback fit the bill nicely, and I clicked the button on the Grand Subaru website asking for an internet quote. I received a prompt reply from Dan D'Andrea, which gave me a very good no hassle price and detailed exactly what other costs would be associated with the sale. I called Dan on the phone and asked a few questions. He was thorough and polite. Meanwhile, I took the Lexus and the Acura to Carmax for appraisals, and got surprisingly decent offers from them. I stopped in at Grand Subaru to look at the Outback, and chatted with Dan. They got a look at the Acura and I agreed to bring in the Lexus a few days later for them to appraise. I also took the cars to Napleton's Schaumburg Subaru for appraisals, and gave them the opportunity to make me a deal. When I drove the Lexus in for an appraisal, the salesman told me I'd have to come back another time because the manager who appraised the cars was in a meeting. Then I took the Lexus to Grand Subaru for an appraisal, and sat down with Dan to see what he was offering. The asking price of the Subaru was even better than the True Market Value price that Edmunds was showing. They offered me $2,000.00 more than Carmax on the Acura, and $1,000.00 less than Carmax on the Lexus. I asked them to meet the Carmax price and we had a deal. At age 57, this is the first time in my life I have negotiated for a new car, and the folks at Grand Subaru made it a very low stress, simple experience. They are just plain folks and I was extremely comfortable walking in there alone and buying the car. As for Napleton's Schaumburg Subaru, the difference in price between them and Grand Subaru for a new Outback and two trade ins? I couldn't believe it. $11,000.00. That is not a typo. ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!! I would recommend giving Grand Subaru a chance to make you a deal. They are polite, respectful, and easy to work with. More
After waiting for a couple of months for the new 2012 wrx I went back to the dealership to purchase the car. The experience was as smooth as it was when I first ordered the wrx. Dan was very helpful, gave me a good rate despite the mishap with my credit history, was very flexible wit the trade-in and stayed with me through the end even though he had to leave much earlier than when the whole buying process was over. I only dealt with Dan and the finance manager, but buying the car from Dan was awesome. I requested an online quote and the price they came back with blew other local dealers out of the water. I went to go p the car from Dan was awesome. I requested an online quote and the price they came back with blew other local dealers out of the water. I went to go pick up the car and no games were played the price they quoted was the exact price I paid. I will say the finance manager was a little pushy about the extended warranty (at one point he almost called me an idiot for not taking it) but I won't let his actions affect my review much, because Dan was easily the best sales person I have ever worked with. I have been looking to buy Impreza WRX for a while for the right price and decided to wait for when 2012 models become available to order. Last week requested a number of quotes over the internet on the c the right price and decided to wait for when 2012 models become available to order. Last week requested a number of quotes over the internet on the car and started working with different dealerships. Dan D'Andrea from Grand Subaru gave me by far the best quote. The next day I came down to the dealership and placed the order. It was the best car buying (ordering) experience I have ever had; Dan was very accommodating and honored everything he said over the e-mail, no hidden cost, no trying to sell what you do not need, no tricks, no BS. The entire process was very simple, absolutely pain free; it took about 20-30 minutes and I was on my way home. When the car arrives and I complete the transaction I will write another review. I am hopping the final process will be as smooth as it has been so far and I will be looking forward to be a loyal customer of the dealership, Dan in particular, for as long as I own a Subaru. More
I love my 2010 Subaru Impreza four door WRX, thank you for getting me into my 1st AWD sports car. The WRX is always the leader of the pack on the road unless it a STI and car looks awesome sitting or runn for getting me into my 1st AWD sports car. The WRX is always the leader of the pack on the road unless it a STI and car looks awesome sitting or running down the road. Grand Subaru worked with me for few days and spent the whole day with me to make sure I got into the car of my dreams. I have not been this happy in a car of my own in a long time. The dealer was good at keeping me informed on the deal and tried to get me the best deal and in the end when i got the keys in hand at the end of the night on the way home i hit the highway, the WRX took me for the ride of my life, and i just could not get over the power and handling with the AWD on the turns was awesome. Thank you Grand Subaru for the ride of my life. I am a Subaru owner for life now. LOVE IT. Your friend Shawn More
I recently bought a 2011 Legacy from Grand Subaru. Best car buying experience of my life. No pressure, no BS, amazing deal! My salesman Bill Nealis let me customize a build and gave me a price over the i car buying experience of my life. No pressure, no BS, amazing deal! My salesman Bill Nealis let me customize a build and gave me a price over the internet that needed no negotiation. Joe, the sales manager, got me significantly more than any other dealer offered me on my trade. They were both very patient and a pleasure to deal with over the three (!) months it took me to consummate. The finance procedure was a breeze and delivery impeccable. I cannot recommend this dealer and these people highly enough! More

Asked about end of year incentives and they said 'none', even though I knew their were quite a few possibilities from reading the general Subaru website. didn't seem the least bit interested in making a sale or following up if something I was looking for became available. Overburdened? If so, just say so and make an appointment for me to return at a better time. They certainly did not appear busy as maybe only one other party was in the show room when I was there. I purchased this car from their website and worked with them via phone until the time of delivery. This was absolutely the worst experience from start to finish. The car was not in the condition listed o them via phone until the time of delivery. This was absolutely the worst experience from start to finish. The car was not in the condition listed on the website, they were not willing to work to get the car fixed. The vehicle had numerous body/paint problems when I owned the car. It was a newer car that I purchased. The vehicle had three nails in the tires when I went to pick it up. Had rust spots on the body that were not indicated on the condition report that they didn't even notice until I pointed it out when I purchased it. No suppport for subaru warranty work numerous wasted hours driving back and forthto get the car "serviced" only to find more of the same issues with the car. I ended up selling the car for a larger vehicle and tried to get back the money for the extended warranty I purchased and three months later still haven't gotten the money back. This is by far the worst dealership i've ever dealt with and will never do business with them again. All they want to do is sell cars they don't know the product or care about the customers. More
Got a good price on the web from them on a Forester 2.5X Premium. Came in 4 days later and test drove the Forester I was quoted on. Put a deposit down to hold the Forester. A totally painless no pressure Premium. Came in 4 days later and test drove the Forester I was quoted on. Put a deposit down to hold the Forester.
