Positive experience without the pressure selling tactics commonly encountered when buying a car. If you request a price, you get a price. Understand the meaning of having to shop, and what a customer mean commonly encountered when buying a car. If you request a price, you get a price. Understand the meaning of having to shop, and what a customer means when they say they have to shop. We said just that, and went back a few hours later and bought. GREAT car buying experience. More
We traveled 5 hours to Grand Subaru because they hands down had the best price. We wanted to buy local but they couldn't touch them. Rented a car.........they picked us up and got us back on the road t down had the best price. We wanted to buy local but they couldn't touch them. Rented a car.........they picked us up and got us back on the road to beat a blizzard. Sandy was outstanding in educating us on our new Outback to just all around friendly. She was so patient (even though it was late) when we realized we didn't have our proof of insurance and couldn't locate anyone at home to help. Sandy finally got home to her little ones and we drove directly into a blizzard...but our outback didn't let us down and either did Sandy. My husband would probably write a similar review of Grand Subaru. John was a joy to work with as well. I have already shared our experience with many and hopefully some will put in the extra time when it's time to buy a new vehicle. More
I recently bought a new Subaru outback from Sandy Jackson at Grand Subaru in Bensenville Il. Sandy was excellent in her communication and didn't play any of the stupid games like all the other dealers d at Grand Subaru in Bensenville Il. Sandy was excellent in her communication and didn't play any of the stupid games like all the other dealers did. She gave me out the door pricing on my vehicle and her best internet price which was worth my trip to buy from her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new vehicle. There was no hard sell tactics, no surprises and everyone that I dealt with did an excellent job. I am already considering buying another car from Sandy even though it has only been 2 day's. More
Wow is how I have to start this review and I don't write reviews. Here is why we decided to but our car from Grand Subaru. Bill Nealis and Ryan Drouin. The two of them teamed up to make our car buyin write reviews. Here is why we decided to but our car from Grand Subaru. Bill Nealis and Ryan Drouin. The two of them teamed up to make our car buying experience incredible. We purchased our second Subaru from Grand Subaru after having a horrible experience with Evanston Subaru; who I would never recommend. Our expereicne with the team from Grand was excpetional from my first inquiry to signing the paper work. Bill replied to my emails quickly and did not pestor me with emails or calls but waited for me to respond. When Bill became ill Ryan the General Sales manager stepped in and kept the conversation going. Ultimately the conbination of customer service and price made it the reason we purchased our Outback from the team at Grand and we will continue to buy other cars from them in the future. I would recommend this dealer, in fact I already have to a few of our firends who are looking for new cars. You will not be disappointed working with this team, they are not your usual car sales team. More
I found an ad for a used car at the dealership through Cars.com. Through email I was connected with Dan. We negotiated a price as well as talked about my trade-in all through email. When I arrived at our Cars.com. Through email I was connected with Dan. We negotiated a price as well as talked about my trade-in all through email. When I arrived at our agreed time, the car was warmed up and in their work area so I was able to look at it without having to endure the cold weather. Dan gave treated me with professionalism and courtesy through the experience. He went to the point of over communicating and making himself available on his off days to make the sale went through and my bank had what it needed. I would definitely recommend him to others looking for a used or new car. More

We had been looking for a 2012 Legacy limited in the western Chicago suburbs. A cursory internet check showed about 13 within 25 miles. The 3 lowest priced were at Grand Subaru in Bensonville, so we w western Chicago suburbs. A cursory internet check showed about 13 within 25 miles. The 3 lowest priced were at Grand Subaru in Bensonville, so we went there first. We did not know that they sell more cars than any Subaru dealer in Illinois. The staff was very knowlegable, and exceedingingly freindly. I test drove the car with John Gallo, then he arranged for me to take it home - about 20 miles, so my wife could drive it. She liked it too, so back we went, and walked out about 2 hours later after trading in a car and buying this one. No muss, not fuss. There was an issue with a key, and over a couple of days talking with the sales manager, Ryan Drouin, that's been taken care of as well. I don't buy cars often, and generally dislike the entire process, start to finish. But this was different. I had done a lot of research on this car and what it was worth, which the sales team noted. The car was competetivly priced so the negotiation was quick and pleasant. I would definately use Grand Subaru again! More
Living more than three hours from Grand, I wanted to insure a tentative agreement on purchase price and trade-in before making the trip. This was done over the phone with Chris, who was true to his wor insure a tentative agreement on purchase price and trade-in before making the trip. This was done over the phone with Chris, who was true to his word. When I arrived, I expected the typical shark-like "blood in the water" treatment, but the transaction was smooth (the best car buying experience I've ever had). There were no alterations to the trade-in quote or purchase price (something I've experienced in the past with other dealerships). Friendly staff--despite(unexpectedly)working late hours on New Year's Eve, due to customer volume. A truly no-pressure approach! Competitive pricing and higher trade-in offers than the other dealers I had researched. My only complaint is that the fuel tank was only a quarter full; something I have never experienced buying a vehicle (new or used). Maybe that was an oversight (the reason for my 4-star rating on "customer service"), but the overall experience was extremely positive. Traded a Jeep Wrangler Sport for a 2010 Forester and had the opportunity to experience the AWD on the trip home. Far superior to the Wrangler in 2-3 inches of snow and better MPG too! Would definitely purchase another vehicle from Grand Subaru! More
After trying out a friend's Outback and reading reviews online, I decided that a 2013 Subaru Outback was the car for me. I submitted a request for pricing to three Subaru dealerships from the subaru.com, w online, I decided that a 2013 Subaru Outback was the car for me. I submitted a request for pricing to three Subaru dealerships from the subaru.com, where I "built my own car." Dan got back to me within minutes, even though the dealership was closed, telling me I'd have a quote in the morning. All three dealerships got back to me with pricing on the model I asked for, with the major options package. But I wanted a number of accessories added, so I made a PDF from the configuration I'd chosen at subaru.com. And I sent it to all three dealers, late one evening. This time, only Dan D'Andrea got back to me with a price on the exact car I wanted. Not only that, but since he didn't have the color and option package I wanted in stock, he located the car at another dealership. And it was a firm price, not depending on a trade-in (I didn't) or financing (I brought my own). I asked if I could take one last confirmatory test-drive, and Dan helped set up an appointment with his brother Joe. I went out to the dealership, and after taking a photocopy of my license, Joe handed me the keys and let me test-drive a similar car to mine on my own. I put a deposit down on the car, and Joe started the ordering process. It took about a week to transfer the car and order and install the additional dealer-installed options I'd asked for. Along the way, Dan kept me up-to-date, and when it was certain when the car would be done, made an appointment for me to pick it up. This was one of the the most straightforward car-buying experiences I have ever had. Absolutely no hassles or surprises or hidden costs. No pressure to finance, no pressure to come to the dealership before giving me a price. Dan's quotes even disclosed documentation, title, and registration fees. Every step of the way was friendly, an awesome balance of professional and fun. Along the way, everybody wanted to know if there was anything I needed, and what would make it work for me. Communicating was easy by e-mail and phone. I love my new Outback. Thanks to Dan and Joe for making this a great buying and owning experience. I tell my friends now, if you want a car, really consider a Subaru. And if anybody is buying a Subaru, I strongly suggest talking to Dan at Grand Subaru. More
