I have purchased two vehicles there and have had no problems until the motor needed to be replaced under warranty. They replaced the motor, but the AC takes forever to blow cold now. It worked great the day before I took it to be worked on. They refused to fix what they messed up. Even told me that they don’t disconnect any AC parts when changing the motor. I called two other KIA dealers who both disconnect the compressor when changing the motor. I need to take them to small claims court to get back what I pay for the AC. They told me I had to file on and serve corporate and not the dealership. Tried customer service twice and was waiting over an hour each time with no human to talk to. I wish they would just admit they messed up and fix it. More
My wife and I were looking to trade in our vehicles for a couple of hybrid vehicles with gas prices showing no sign of slowing down. Really wanted to buy the vehicles locally but sadly couldn't make that happen. My wife is looking for a hybrid Sportage and I am looking for a hybrid Sorento. Took my wife's car their first. I felt their appraisal was quite low. In addition, this dealer charges a $800 "make ready and window tinting charge". They also said the appraisal was only good for that day. I have ordered vehicles in the past and had the dealer say the appraisal was only good for a set time or set number of miles but never just that day. Had no choice but to go to another dealer, they offer $1800 more on the trade in, waived the $800 fee and made the trade in value good for up to 1000 miles. I didn't even bother taking my vehicle to Van Griffith to be appraised. I would love to do business locally in the town I live in and am willing to pay a little extra to make that happen, but $2600 difference is quite a it extra to pay just to buy locally. Additionally good luck getting your sales person to call you back. Left voice messages and never got a call back. Wife and I finally just physically drive there ourselves last Friday just to find out our sales person wasn’t there and no else could help us. More
I spent many hours researching dealerships in Texas. Dealerships that would not charge $3K-$15K over MSRP for a 2022 Kia Telluride. It is a beautiful car but it somehow seems unscrupulous to charge more than the manufacture’s suggested retail price and after 30 years of working with Toyota I refused to do so. That’s where VAN GRIFFITH Kia comes in as a stellar dealership with much integrity and I was lucky enough to get the best sales person I’ve ever dealt with, bar none, in JIMMY GREENE. From the beginning he was cordial, considerate, knowledgeable and resigned to making me a happy customer. Believe me, I tested that throughout my LONG 8 month wait for our beautiful car. It’s hard to accept a chip shortage as an excuse to not have a car available on the dealership lot so you have to order it and WAIT! JIMMY took all of my many calls and spoke to me like it was the first time I ever called him… Patience is a virtue. We have our car now and I’m going to miss JIMMY and his calm reassurance that “it will all be worth the wait.” If you’re looking for a car go to VAN GRIFFITH, where integrity is still a company motto and ask for JIMMY GREENE, a salesman dedicated to his customers. Everyone I contacted had a $5,000 "market adjustment" on their K5s until I made contact with Jimmy Greene at Van Griffith Kia. I ordered the exact vehicle I wanted at MSRP for a lease and also am receiving free tint and 5 free oil changes. Cant wait for the vehicle to arrive and so far everything with this dealership has been a step above any other dealership I have worked with for a new vehicle, no haggle and straight to the point. Highly recommend this dealership and Jimmy Greene. More
