IF YOU NEED A VEHICLE SERVICED, I DEFINITELY DON'T RECOMMEND TAKING IT TO GRAFF IN BAY CITY. I made an appointment almost a month ago and took it in Monday morning (9/11). Made sure the customer service rep (ERIC) knew it was my only vehicle. They didn't have a loaner for me (and never have). I called later that afternoon and never got to speak with Eric or any of their other service reps. Every time I called, it went to voicemail (I left several). I finally told their receptionist that I didn't want to be directed to their service department, I wanted to speak to a manager. I got voicemail instead. The next day, after a few more attempts to find out ANYTHING about my vehicle and only getting voicemail, I started calling their number like a teenager calling into a radio station to win a prize. About the fourth call (after 2pm), the receptionist patched me through to FINALLY talk to a live person and they said, "OH, I see our technician is just now pulling it in". I asked why they were just now taking a look at it when my scheduled service appointment was for the previous morning. She told me that my appointment date was for me to talk to a service rep (one of their people who stands at the little podium desks and fills out a service request/queue. This was NOT communicated when I set up the appointment. She told me she was SORRY I didn't understand that, but that if I thought anyone else could get it in sooner, I was welcome to come pick up my vehicle. THEY HOOK YOU IN, knowing that every place is booked up. And THEN likely work on the jobs that will generate the most revenue and work on the rest in between. THEY don't bother to let you know anything about what's going on with your repair unless they need approval to go ahead with the work. They DON'T CALL YOU with any updates, THEY WAIT FOR YOU TO CALL THEM. I read through several online reviews of other customers experiencing just what I've described. FACE IT, there is such a shortage of mechanics that these businesses DON'T care about bad reviews, but they know people are desperate and have few places to get work done. If you KNOW of better mechanic shops, PLEASE LET ME KNOW for future reference. AND PLEASE SHARE to educate others. UPDATE *** THEY CHARGED ME ALMOST $600 to replace the coil and sparkplug. ERIC finally called me at 3:40 to tell me what it was. This job should gave been done by noon yesterday. It's only about a half hour job. But they waited until I had barrage them with calls before they even got it into their shop. More
Made an appointment for my car to be looked at took 3 weeks to do that. I called everyday for updates and every day I was lied to. They would say they were working on it but weeks went by and no update. Finally I picked up my car and after a couple day started having problems again. I made an appointment to have it looked at with another dealership. They were able to figure out what was wrong in 30min and have my car fixed in a couple hours. They said a coil thing need to be replaced and spark plugs. I asked how is it possible that my spark plugs need to be replaced when they were just replaced. They said that graff didn't actually fix the problem which cause the spark plugs to go bad again. So now I am out the money for the spark plug and labor I paid. This is by far the worst dealership I have ever been to and there is no customer service. I would never go back and I would never ever recommend the dealership to anyone. More

Service department This is the most awful service department ever! They schedule an appointment and leave your vehicle on the hoist and not a service person around, the This is the most awful service department ever! They schedule an appointment and leave your vehicle on the hoist and not a service person around, then if you ask what's taking so long to do a simple job of changing a filter they tell you they are slammed! Why make an appointments if your going to sit for hours waiting. Second time this happened, never again. Will NOT recommend to anyone. Maybe you need some service department training. More

I had it towed to the lot where they promptly LOST it and left the keys in the car even after I had called (phone records) to make sure that they knew the car was there for service and why. I left my car in their care never knowing that it was not being worked on and not even secure. Three days later, when I had been assured that the car would be done, is when I found out what happened. They were proud of themselves that they had found my vehicle. I was told that the towing company was at fault, then I was told that it must have been my fault for not calling. They were condescending and unwilling to figure out when my car would even be fixed since it's "the weekend" and "we have appointments for a reason". Their solution was to give me a "free loaner" and that was the best they could do. Of course I still need to pay for the gas. Bottom line is - I do not recommend the service department and even though I still have free oil changes I won't be back for that. I've lost all trust with this portion of the company. Sales department however, are completely fantastic. More

The cost to have my car serviced ended up being slightly lower than the quote I received. Thank you for the professional service I received. More

On September 29, 2011, I took my Pontiac Vibe in for oil change, tire rotation and 27-point inspection. I made an appointment for 3:00. I arrived at 2:45 and the oil change area and a backup of cars. A tech came out and I asked him what was going on with the line-up. He said the Happy Hour oil change was going on. I said does a 3:00 appt mean nothing then? He said no and pull around to the other door. So, I did and was directed to Greg and that he would take care of my oil change and tire rotation in area where they service the cars. I said I would return in 1 hour. After 1 hour, my car was sitting outside like it had been serviced. I went in to get the paperwork and was told that they only did the tire rotation and that the oil change was never done. I asked them to explain why. There was some mix-up apparently. I asked to speak to the service manager, Eric, and said this is the second time this has happened to me here. I was told that the service on my car was going to be completed within 1 hour and it was not completed. So, I had to wait another 30 minutes for the oil change. Eric was responsive to my concern and offered a free oil change as compensation for my inconvenience to be used in the future. I asked for his card and said I would be contacting him for my next service visit so I know I would be given the service I expect. I hope a future visit will meet my expectations because this is a convenient location between my work and home. More
