Had work done on brake system at Firestone initially. They changed a caliper, brake lines and other items which totalled $1300.00. When I Left there, the brakes seized up again. Towed it back to Fires They changed a caliper, brake lines and other items which totalled $1300.00. When I Left there, the brakes seized up again. Towed it back to Firestone. They tried to fix it again and called me to say it was fixed. Drove 1 mile brakes seized up twice on Blanding Blvd. They had the truck for 3 days. Firestone paid for both tows. They could not fix the problem so they recommended taking it to Gordon after both sides locked up. Gordon attempted to repair the problem. Was told repair was completed. Other suggested work was accomplished as well totalling $2300.00. Vehicle was in repair for 2.5 weeks. Drove 1 mile and brakes locked up again and did the same thing as before. Had vehicle towed back to Gordon. This time the brake booster was replaced for $1700. Gordon refused to pay for the towing which was less than $150. Finally picked vehicle up after $3500 in repairs and so far brakes appear to be working. I'm scared as xxxx to tow my tractor for at least a week or 2 just to be on the safe side. I don't want to kill anyone by not being able to stop. At least the gave me a military discount, but wish they could have properly diagnosed the problem the 1st time. This taught me a valuable lesson. This truck is a 2015 2500 Chevy and it took several times to fix it. I can only imagine if it were a newer model with more complexed systems. My delimma is: Do I keep it or bail out and buy a newer version. Thank GOD I'm a business owner and can write the maintenance off. Nearly $5000 worth of repairs and I'm shell shocked as xxxx when driving the truck now. There's no worse feeling than driving down Blanding Blvd. and your brakes completely lock up 3 different times. I was able to maneuver the truck to Safety! More
